player and yachtsman.

Drafted into the German Army
and was captured by the Soviets

After World War II he emigrated
to Canada. Died in 1980.

James Raudzins: basketball player
and physical education instructor

at the University of Latvia.

A resistance leader under
the Nazi and Soviet occupation.

Emigrated to Australia after
World War II. Died in 1979.

Eduards Andersons:
outstanding point guard.

Deported by the Soviets
to Vorkuta Labor Camp,

where he organized a Latvian
- Lithuanian basketball match

The only member of the Dream Team
of 1935

who lived in Latvia after
World War II. Died in 1985.

Martins Grundmanis:represented
the Latvian national basketball

and soccer teams in 20 matches.

Drafted into the German Army.

Committed suicide in 1945
as a prisoner of war.

Andrejs Krisons: outstanding
soccer and basketball player.

During World War II he was drafted
into the German Army.

Died of war injuries in August 1945.

Janis Lidmanis: leading forward.

Captain of the Latvian
national soccer team.

After World War II he emigrated
to Australia. Died in 1986.

Valdemars Baumanis:
after the triumph in Geneva he was

dismissed as the coach
of the Latvian team.

During World War II he was
drafted into the Red Army

and then the German Army.

After the war he organized sport
in a Latvian refugee camp.

A successful coach for the
Lorient basketball team in Fran

He moved to the United States in 1956.

The last surviving member
of the Dream Team of 1935,

he passed away in 1992.
