in Tasmania's second-largest city
Launceston.

It's from here that they'll
begin the 19th leg

of the Amazing Race Australia,

departing in the order they finished
at the last pit stop.

Teams are now all on the same flight
from Launceston to Sydney.

They'll then need to catch a train to
Newcastle to continue the race.

Once known as the Steel Capital
of Australia, Newcastle -

or as the locals know it, Newie -
is the world's largest coal port,

a thriving metropolis
and gateway to the Hunter Valley.

And it's here in Newie the teams
will receive their next clue.

Ooh, the race is really on.

Our goal was always just to
get to the top three,

and we're so close to that now.

But we're definitely on our own here.

The other teams have a strong alliance,

so we know it's going to be tough.

But we're ready for them.

We've got this.

It would be such a huge deal to win,
especially as an all-girl team.

You know, we're fit, we're strong.

We're the whole package
and we can win this thing.

Newcastle Steelworks once employed
up to 13,000 locals.

The plant closed in 1999,
but Newcastle's story

of steel and working-class men lives on

through its world-famous
dance production Tap Dogs.

Teams will come here to the steelworks

where they'll learn a routine.

Then they'll perform it on stage

in front of legendary Tap Dogs
choreographer Dein Perry.

Once he gives them the thumbs up,
they'll receive their next clue.

against people that are weaker

and, you know,
it doesn't really prove much.

So we help each other out, we push
each other. So it's a good alliance.

You know, this is what we wanted to do -

it's just second nature to us.

So, we were really looking forward

Our plan is to go to the finale

and we're gonna do that.

This morning, teams must come here to
Byalee Stables in the Hunter Valley.

The Hunter is a hot spot
for horse and equestrian events,

and it's here that they'll learn the
highest expression of horse training,

and perform
a synchronised dressage routine.

But there's a twist.

What the teams don't know is that
they won't be riding a real horse.

They'll be riding a hobby horse.

And believe it or not,

hobby horse dressage is a real sport
that even has a world championship.

Once elite-level dressage coach
Anne Marie

deems their performance pass-worthy,

they'll receive their next clue.

We generally we do pretty well

with kind of dance-

A Detour is a choice
between two challenges,

each with its own pros and cons.

And for this Detour, teams will have
choose between Pit or Paddle.

Teams that choose Paddle will come
here to the RidgeView Estate Winery.

All they've got to do is row out
there in the middle of the dam,

grab some grapes, bring 'em in,

and work together to squeeze 150ml
into a wineglass.

When they do that,
they'll get their next clue.

Oh, actually, I forgot to tell ya.

They won't be in a boat.

They'll be on a wine barrel.

Ahoy!

And teams that choose Pit will come here

to the Tintilla Estate Winery
and Olive Farm,

where they'll get their hands
on the Hunter's other great export.

Here they'll be given two trays
with a whopping 200 olives on them.

They'll need to use their hands only
to remove the pit from the olives,

separating them
each into their own jar.

Once they've done that,
they'll receive their next clue.

The next challenge is one of
The Amazing Race's toughest

and most infamous ever.

There's nothing more frustrating
than searching for something

that you know is there
but you just can't find it,

the metaphor for which

is "Looking for a needle in a haystack."

Teams will need perseverance
and a lot of luck on their side

to find the needle.

Once they've found it, the farmer
will give them their next clue.

Oh...

Gonna need some... tweezers

to get all these olives out.

So, other teams started to notice

that we were squishing them
to get it out.

Then, um...

So, we took five or 10 minutes
to work out the best technique.

Exactly right, whereas they
worked it out straightaway.

And they just copied us.

Our huge lead had really diminished,

so the next challenge,
we have to do things really fast.

and we'd automatically
turned that 20-minute lead

that Chris and Aleisha had

down to about five.

all to do with luck.

So we knew we were right in
with a great chance to come first.

We had to literally find
a needle in a haystack.

It's really clumpy here

squashing them from the start.

I saw the other people doing it but
didn't get past in time pretty quick.

So we were the last team to leave but
we weren't going to get flustered.

it was another challenge.

so I thought, if we just
get in those bigger chunks first,

we might be lucky and find it
if it's kind of a large needle,

and then we can go through
more meticulously.
