instinct, and basic gut reaction.

And, usually, that's when
your surveillance pays off.

Of course, that's also
the trickiest part.

Once the subject is in sight,

you have to know just
exactly how close you can get

without giving yourself away.

But every once in a while,
you have to face the fact

that the surveillance
you've put hours into

really isn't going
to help you out.

And a good investigator knows when the
time has come to cut bait and get out.
