which is unbelievable.

in our pockets as possible.

season, I didn't know if I...

I didn't have a crew, I
didn't have machines,

a lot of people doubted me,

but I love proving people wrong.

I knew I had to come
back here and finish the job.

1,000 ounces, that's
the bare minimum.

That's what's gonna
give me a future here.

I need the biggest gold
weigh of our season right here.

It's wildly stressful
waiting to find out

if you're gonna make it back.

After a chaotic season
of setbacks and disasters,

plants at the same time.

He's halfway there
with his current setup.

On paradise hill,

a trommel is sluicing
super pit pay dirt.

40 miles south,
his new wash plant,

sir sluice-a-lot, is
running 240 yards an hour.

Now, he wants to fire
up the broken shaker deck

alongside it, and
the icing on the cake,

reboot dredge number one.

I'm back.

When we left last,

it wasn't exactly a
cheerful goodbye.

There was a lot of frustration,

I think, from both ends.

But hopefully, we
can make something

work this time and it'll
be a bit more cheerful.

At the start of this season...

We've been thinking that perhaps

this year we might take it off.

Eldest son and chief mechanic,

Kevin, abandoned
the family business.

He came back in the summer...

To help get the family's
season back on track.

The biggest thing is
gonna be nailing down

what he's committing to

because we all know
like he commits now,

now, not so much.

we've given some more

So far this year, he's

just shy of his
7,000 ounce goal.

With only days left
before the big freeze,

his crew is focused
on tapping out

the last piece of
ground, the money pit.

Winter is knocking
at our door here.

We got a massive pile of
pay left in the money pit.

There's just so much to do here.

The 40 acre money pit

has delivered
big gold this year.

Now, there's
just five acres left.

Right now, I just don't
know if we're gonna have

enough time to get through

all the pay we got left,

before that wash plant's
just, frozen up brick of ice.

Our big concern, with Roxanne

is we've never seen
how it runs into the cold.

It's the last push, we are all

giving it all to get it done.

This far in the
season with that little

sluice time left, it's
just been really hectic,

but that's the way she goes.

is jammed up, man.

With winter closing in fast,

Parker's only running wash plant

is at a standstill.

We got a massive pile
up here in the prewash.

What's going on is this,
impact board down here

that's supposed to
protect the prewash

had started to separate and,

that's caught a bunch
of material here and then,

we're gonna have
to do some repairs.

Roxanne's prewash
has impact boards

to absorb the force
from heavy rocks

before they hit the shaker deck.

But large rocks have
ripped a hole in them

causing material to snag,

build up, and block the prewash.

The fix, remove the blockage,

tear out the damaged boards,

and replace with new ones.

This is what you could round up?

I mean, the question's
gonna be is this thing

gonna last long
enough, you know.

But it certainly isn't gonna
run the way it is, so...

are showing up faster

than we can anticipate.

If we were to
start cutting plate

and installing that with
welders and all that,

we'd probably be
near the end of the day

before we even
were ready to fire up.

to make two makeshift bolts.

These tighten onto a metal wedge

that holds the bucket in place.

I'd say it's do or die.

So I'd say it's pretty important

to have this stuff,

everything going
as far as we can,

as long as we can until
absolutely can't even run it.

It's going.

That's not the proper fix.

It's definitely temporary,

but we only have
a couple days here,

so we'll do what we gotta
do and hopefully it lasts

and hopefully it holds together.

Hopefully these
new bolts last for us

and holds up for the
rest of the season.

The bush-fixed bolts
need to hold the weight

of a fully loaded one
and a half ton bucket.
