Hello, and welcome

to the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator

Associate Course of version SOA-CO2.

My name is Stephane Maarek,

and I will be your instructor for this course.

So we're going to prepare for the SOA-CO2 exam,

which is a very challenging certification,

I think it's the most difficult of all associate exam.

But this course will be long and hopefully very interesting.

And so I would definitely recommend

that you do this certification after having done

at least the Solutions Architects Associate Certification,

or the Certified Developer Associate Certification.

Now this course is structured as an advanced course,

and so some base knowledge is going to be needed

for all the videos, and for all sections,

and so videos are going to be imported

from different courses of mine.

So there will be some videos

from my Certified Cloud Practitioner course,

which will be marked with the CCP tag.

There will be some with that are coming

from the Solutions Architect Associate course,

and it will be marked with the SAA tag.

And then some from the Certified Developer Associate course

marked with a DVA tag.

So the idea is that if you've done some

of my previous courses, you know which lectures to skip.

And I've included this base knowledge

because not everyone comes through the same path,

some people will have done some courses and others not.

So I've preferred to include

as much information as possible,

but if this is a video that you've already seen,

please feel free to skip it,

or just rewatch it again to get a little refresher.

It never helps.

And so for the videos that are specific to this course,

well they will not be tagged at all,

they will not be marked with brackets.

So this will be all the SysOp specific videos

in this course.

Now I want to draw your attention on something

for this exam.

So the SysOps exam SOA-CO2 has Exam Labs,

it will contain three labs,

and each lab will contain different tasks.

And so this is something new in the exams of AWS.

And so AWS recommends to allocate 20 minutes

for each Exam Lab.

So first in your exam,

you will have to answer the multiple-choice,

and multiple-response questions.

And then once you're done,

you will have to complete this section

and you cannot go back to it.

Then you can go to answer the exam labs.

And once you complete one lab, you go onto the next

and you can not go back to the previous one.

So it's very important for you to understand this.

So first the questions then one lab.

Then one lab.

Now the lab looks like this,

so that they go get access to the AWS Management Console.

If you would like to click, or even the CLI,

if you prefer to use the CLI to work against AWS.

And the instructions are going to be provided

on the right hand side of your screen.

And it is expected for you, at the end to provide,

for example, an ARN of the result of what you've made.

And this is how AWS will check your results.

Now you will not know if your exam lab will be correct

or not, okay, there is not immediate feedback.

Just know that once you enter the ARN,

you will do complete, and you will move on to the next lab.

So how do I prepare for the labs?

And we'll get this question all the time.

The only way to do it is to follow along with me

and practice in the course.

The labs are not too difficult,

they're actually very well guided

and the descriptions are clear.

So if you following along with me in this course,

and you know where the options are,

there is no reason for you to fail at these labs.
