Well, you know,
Shey had reached out

a chance to invest

about how people try

Who have you guys
done stuff with?

- Ladder Sport.
We're working with Tonal now.

He just signed a pretty big
partnership with Reebok.

- A shoe, like, cross-trainer?

That was one of the bigger
things that we wanted to do.

It really made sense in regard

to translate athleticism
and fitness

and healthiness
across that campaign.

- Yeah, I mean, that's--
everything that you described

really speaks
to our brand a lot.

What inspired me
about these guys

is, they don't cut corners.

They don't do things
the easy way. [laughs]

- We're doing good now.

We've had a great, great year,
and, you know,

product just keeps
getting better,

people loving everything
that we're doing.

- So let's see if we can
figure something out, you know?

- When we thought about
expanding the opportunity

for people to be part
of Municipal at a--

really,
as a strategic investor,

we started with, who are people
that are going to buy

into our vision but help
take it to another level

and somebody

a category and build something
from the ground floor?

and my son Sebastien

are the founding members

- My first business was buying
and selling trading cards

at eight years old.
I loved it.

No better way for kids
to learn about investing.

they're an investor

what you love doing.

Learn everything about it
and then go for it."

- You gotta take your time,
'cause when you open them,

they have to go
right into the cases.

There are cards selling

for millions of dollars,

You can open up a pack of cards

and immediately have
six figures in your hand.

one of the best cards

- And if you don't treat

like it is the most delicate

it can go
from a six-figure card

to a one-figure card.

contributed has been fantastic.

her pitch and help guide her.

So this
is what I've been working on

the last year with my dad.

I'm doing Westero
barbecue seasonings

with my pop,
who is a total foodie.

- Could sell this
at Wahlburgers.

- These recipes, my dad
has perfected for years.

- Nice. But I would imagine
there's probably...

- Competition.
- A massive competitive space.

- It is. Something that's
different for us, though...

- I was gonna say, what are you
doing to differentiate?

- Is--and Doc would love this--
no sugar,

no preservatives, not GMO.

Usually barbecue and steak
seasonings start with sugar.

That's their number one
ingredient.

- Yeah, but a lot of it
is the--

all your probiotics in here--

your prebiotics,
the garlic and the onions...

- Okay.
- Cayenne and all that stuff.

- Mm-hmm.
- That makes a huge difference,

because most people don't even
think about that...

- Yeah.
- Or care about it.

- No. It's so important.

I'm his only daughter,
and I've always felt this need

to do something with him.

How do you think I got

I didn't want
a burger business.

We literally had to take

to get to pick Mike's brain

about all the different things
that they experienced

while starting the launch
and to where they are today.

is our writer-director

for "Father Stu."

She did such a great job
at writing "Stu,"

and I thought she would do
just equally a good job

of bringing it to the screen.

You know, she had aspirations
to direct,

and so why not give her a shot?

- Mark called me at, like,

4:00 in the morning
and said, you know,

"I can't think of anybody

better to direct this film
than you."

And I was like,

"I could think of 100 people,
but thank you."

[laughs]

So of course
I was very grateful for that.

This, I'm wondering
if the shot here wants

to be kind of dirty over him.
- Okay.

- Too many people are afraid
of ever taking a risk.

But everything that's new
and innovative

has some element of risk.

- For us to use
a smaller budget,

they gotta get a lot done
in a short amount of time.

It's a lot
for a first-time director.

It's trial by fire,

but I believe
she's up to the task.

Everybody's gotta start
somewhere, right?

[dynamic Latin music]

- We met because
of our love of golf.

I wasn't really a tequila guy.

I was able
to get a crash course

in authentic Mexican tequila.

This is amazing to watch.

It really is an amazing product

that is far better than most
of the things out there.

with Kevin Hart, you know?

I'm not used to being

I've always had
little physical ailments.

Hands, ankles, knees, back.

But turning 50,
you really notice

different issues
and different problems arising.

You know, just things
that come with the job.

No, I was just thinking
about Ace.

You gotta see Ace play.

We're on a par five.
It's a 600-yard par five.

He drives down
right beside the green.

He sees a ball on the ground:

"That's my ball."
[laughter]

- I find Flecha very,
very appealing, you know?

You got something
that's a great product.

The guys
are absolutely amazing.

You know, getting to know them

and just kind of creating
this real friendship and bond,

it's been really nice.

[unintelligible chatter]

- You're one of those, huh?

- The hardest part for me
with directing--

it's such a different
headspace

emotionally and physically
from the writing process.

- And...background.

Action!

- In his first
sort of pitch to me,

Mark said, "Look, I think this
could be something great

for Mel to play my dad,

and I said, "Yeah, of course."

But that's super daunting
for me

because Mel
is my longtime partner,

and the risk or the stakes

are their reputations
and legacies as actors.

- Whoops. Sorry.

[laughter]
- Cut.

- It's like, Mark and Mel
star in a fucking melodrama,

and...[laughs]

They try to make you cry,
and they fail.

[engine turning over]

Of course, that's Mark.

He is fearless,
and he is willing

to take risks on people.

And he's behind you 100%.

- And action.

- But it's still terrifying.

[engine whirring]

- Catch that?

- The dashboard is smoking.

- In the script, the truck
is supposed to break down.

- Yeah. Let's go.

- The truck actually did
break down in that scene.

When you're on set surrounded
by hundreds of people

who are asking you
hundreds of questions

and having to make
hundreds of decisions

and inevitably
something happens,

it feels like
a catastrophe in the moment.

But you also have to try
to not let on to everybody else

that it's a catastrophe.

- Okay.
- Let's go on Mel.

I can't see the image, but--

- I understand. I understand.
Yes.

- All right.
[unintelligible]

- I love working
with first-time directors.

I love giving them a chance.

My concern about
a first-time director is,

you are the general
of the army,

and if you slow down,
if you miss anything,

your one choice
can be the difference

between something costing
$10,000 or a million.

- All right, guys,
I'm gonna pull the truck in

and make a change.

- And we were, like,
super mindful

about the amount of time
that we had.

You know,
we need to be running

very tight, lean, efficient.

And costs have gone way up.

All of those things
present new challenges

that are very, very difficult.
