CHILDREN IN THIS HAMLET

ATTEND A LOCAL SCHOOLHOUSE
FOR THE FIRST FOUR YEARS.

FOR THE FIFTH YEAR
AND ABOVE,

THEY MUST WALK THREE MILES
TO THE MAIN SCHOOL.

The village blacksmith
is hard at work

He's known by all
as a stubborn old fellow

Early to bed, early to rise,
and never sick a single day

He's proud of his arm,
stronger than iron

Though his spirit

and he's far from poor

and his business is thriving
