I'd sail Dove across to Ecuador,

sell her there and use the
money to have a holiday,

before you and Patti fly

who also happens to be a superb cook

is wonderful with children and is also

in a young girl's life,

Dear mom and dad,
Patti and I were married today

at Santa Cruz in the Galapagos islands,

I've taken your advice
and decided to sell Dove,

Patti flies off to
Ecuador to find a buyer,

while I pack the boat up,

I’ll sail her across and
meet her in about a week,

then we'll be on our way home.

So there it is, finito, I
suppose it's not too bad,

I did sail three quarters
of the way around the world,

you can't win them all.

I've got to finish this trip,

that's all that really matters.
