we're going to Indiana sanatorium

there's no doubt

Maybe we have to be tonight's going to

be another long night I chose Indiana

State Sanitarium

this place completely freaked us out

last time we went in not knowing

anything about the location besides a

brief history

if the buildings were going to be haunted

but trust me that place is haunted

we're gonna get packed up soon

gonna hit the road and start going

Alex kind of confirmed it for me

Indiana sanitary in Indiana State

sanatorium nah looking forward to it

get one shot and that's gonna decide

how good our night is if it's a good shot

we're gonna have a good night

if it's a bad shot it's gonna be a bad night

you sure we all know where we're about

to be heading right now

Indiana sanatorium maybe

there's only so many places in Indiana

so this was one of my favorite locations

that we've been to since

we've been there t've opened up

the facility to paranormal investigators and

a bunch of people have had very similar

things to happen to them that we had happen to us

when we were there the one

thing that comes to mind is 409

in the housing unit that room Tanner

captured something on thermal like

crossing the window and it wasn't like

a bird or an animal this thing was bigger

than us then we sprinted up there

and there was no one up there

so it couldn't have been a human

this place is probably one of the most

haunted sanatoriums that we've ever been

to Indiana State sanatorium like totally

caught me off guard last time

I'm nervous going back because

I feel like since so many people have been there

since and stirred things up that

I'm feeling like it's going to be

a totally different night

we go come on in you guys ready for this

one last night of Terror there it is

holy crap it's so big welcome back guys

welcome back my goodness literally

right up there we captured something on thermal

we are back we are back it's like

freaking Hawks swarming the sky even the

sky is scary you're telling me dude I'm

so excited I've been waiting the entire

trip for this moment let's get going

let's get this packet going because I

got a lot of plans okay let's do it

let's go find the stairs and read this packet

we are finally back at Indiana State

sanatorium I'm really excited for you

guys to read some of the hauntings that

have occurred since we've been here last

so do you want to get right into

this packet

all right here we go Tanner you want

to start sure no man

Indiana State sanitorium

in deep within the Indiana forest it's

the long forgotten Mega complex

designated for the treatment and care of

tuberculosis patients the facility

consists of over a dozen individual

buildings which make up 120

000 square feet of decaying and

forgotten structures

medical equipment paperwork and patience

clothing litters the hall to rock and

waste away

in 1909 construction began on the

hospital building followed by an

administration building in a Powerhouse

by 1911 the facility was self-sufficient

with a farm and workers during this time

in history tuberculosis plagued the

entire country costing thousands of

lives and Indiana State sanatorium had

become renowned for its reputation of

curing many patients affected by the

disease what the outside Community

didn't know was that the success rate of

these treatments was heavily skewed due

to the facility only admitting patients

who are deemed favorable to recover

like the only reason people wanted to

come here is because the numbers were

falsified like people thought the

success rate was so much better than it

was and the reality of the situation was

people were dropping like flies

as the decades passed Indiana became one

of the worst pockets of tuberculosis in

the United States to keep up with the

countless patients the facility built

several more dormitories and the doctors

began to experiment with new treatments

t would perform operations where t

would pump gas into bags that were then

inserted into a patient's lungs

other experiments included forcing them

to lay on one side of their body for

hours on end sometimes even using

adhesive plaster on their skin to

restrict movement that is so brutal

it's like cocooned a lot of

these treatments sound brutal and t

are but you gotta think of the times too

t had no idea what this disease was

in a time of like Desperate Measures

comes desperate treatments t were

probably trying anything t could

after years of experiments and countless

deaths the sanatorium eventually closed

in the 1960s when their services were

less needed due to the discovery of

streptomycin an antibiotic used to

effectively treat tuberculosis

antibiotics shut down a lot of these

places who knows where we'd be today

honestly without that the complex sat

vacant for 20 years until it was

repurposed as a nursing home in the

1990s what could have been a brighter

chapter for this facility quickly turned

into something darker and more sinister

the healthcare complex was constantly

under scrutiny for allegations of elder

abuse inappropriate staff patient

relations and death resulting from

neglect because t had no procedure in

place for tracking patients many would

wander off into the surrounding dense

forest this resulted in at least four

deaths due to exposure between the years

of 2002 and 2006

another patient was adjusting the

radiator in his room when a part of it

broke off and caused hot steam to

essentially cook the man alive what

that was one of the new deaths that I

found out about when digging into this

place in that Residential Building

the five-story where we caught the

figure last time can you imagine finding

that person

the facility even managed to make State

headlines when a staff member was

involved in a murder-suicide on the

property eventually the state revoked

their health care license and shut the

facility down for good

with it being a sanatorium we think that

would be enough like that's enough

Darkness but then the more we keep

reading the darker it gets with every

phase of this place even the nursing home

people who have visited report sightings

of shadow figures in all buildings on

the campus objects move on their own

doors will suddenly swing open and slam

shut one investigator was even attacked

leaving scratch marks on her body so

deep that t drew blood no way that is big

although the public has recently

been granted access to the property it

seems like the Restless Spirits are more

than willing to make their presence

known after Decades of seclusion

the most active areas include the

administration building this was once

the original sanatorium but later

converted into an administration

building consisting mostly of offices is

that where we're sitting right now I

think so right was it the administration

building so this used to be the original sanatorium

people often report sightings of a

female Apparition on the first floor

watching all who enter through the front

door this is also the main access point

to the miles of tunnels that run under

the 504 acres of land

the nursing home people who wander into

this area will often be struck with such

intense emotion that it causes them to

break down into tears other paranormal

investigators have reported so many

shadow figures that t have given the

building the nickname Shadow Hall

during his solo time in the shadow

what was that I've been hearing that it

sounds like a giant like a big scream

right dude where is it kind of sounds

like it's coming from below us

which is the tunnel which is the tunnels

like because it's coming up what the

heck I hate when we read the packet and

stuff starts happening

the residential building this five-story

building was used as housing for the

overflowing number of patients being

admitted with numerous reports of Shadow

like figures lurking around every floor

of this building and investigators

regularly getting direct responses to

their questions through various devices

this space seems to be significantly

did one of the other things that like

people don't really talk about because

it's not paranormal is the fact that

people could walk on this property yes

and I'm always nervous for people like

breaking in that part scares me too this

is definitely a location we have to be

on our toes and on the lookout for

Intruders and trespassers and animals

and animals gosh speaking of animals

there's a gopher out there or something

that is a giant gopher or a little

bear my brand when you guys say we

housing unit with the thermal no it's a

good idea to see if anything is captured

in it you don't even have to go in the

building right now no that's true this

is gonna be scary because I'm gonna be

in the middle of the property by myself

surrounded by forests and trees and

abandoned creepy buildings

he'll be all right

residential building the five-story

building here we go first part of the

night Chelsea's got the thermal for the

walk over to see if we see anything

mean you were nervous about trespassers

though and this thermal will be able to

catch someone if t're trying to break

anything that correlated or anything

realize that this was also a nursing

home how lonely is that true this whole

place has like plagued with sadness and

loneliness from every era and each time

it was places where people came here to

die it really didn't leave this place

way it was some sort of noise it's like

trying to protect us from something else

we've been dealing with some decent

things but something is bad in a tunnel

Wicked is in the tunnel like I were

talking the evil demon we're talking

like a bad person in real life whatever

it is it's evil like if it's evil we

should stay away from it there's a lot

of bad people that obviously worked here

and neglected the patients that were

here that could be what's down there

haunting if t passed away here as

there's theories that demons in in

Darker entities like that can attach

themselves to places that have years of

pain and torture based on what

we've experienced on this trip already

we know that last time we were here that

was like a big question of ours what is

in the tunnel we didn't get any sort of

direct answers camera died again again

and now someone has to go in there and

sleep alone like if it can do that it

can scare the group out like that

whoever has to sleep alone down there

t better bring extra batteries and

like an extra pair of pants it's
