through me, I was scared,
I was shocked.

He turned
and looked at me,

and his eyeballs went "boom!"

This thing
was ten-foot tall,

that had 600, 700 pounds
on you.

It could kill you
with flicking you
in the head.

I've seen stuff
in the woods at night
that would give you nightmares

for the rest of your life.

Dad! Dad!

My adrenaline was going,
my heart was thumping,

I knew that
I'd seen something
extremely terrifying.

There was a very
overwhelming presence

that wasn't, like, a person.

It felt evil, it looked evil.

And it felt like every second
there was a second closer
to real danger.

My name is Jack Silsby.

I am a steel worker
for a company
here in Michigan.

It's scary, you know,
I was genuinely afraid
of this thing.

I didn't know
what it was gonna do.

We live in Grand Ledge
which is just outside
of Lansing.

It's a small town,
but it's still pretty nice.

My name is Jim Silsby, I work
for the American Red Cross
as a courier.

I'm very much
an outdoors person.

The forest is definitely
my second home,
it's where I feel relaxation.

If I feel stressed,
I go to the woods.

This happened
about six years ago now.

It's about an hour and 15,
an hour and 30-minute drive
from our home.

When we get to the location,

it's a dirt road and then
it ends in a parking area.

And the camp ground
is to the south.

And from that parking area,
you have miles of forest
to the west, to the north,

forest and swamp to the east,

and it's about
a half a mile hike
into the camp ground

from where you park.

My dad does
really enjoy the outdoors,
he grew up on a farm,

and now, Dad and I,
we love to go out on walks.

And it became
a great bonding experience
for Jack and I.

I can smell
the fresh air.

When you can get
your child in the woods
and off of social media,

and get them out
where they can
breathe fresh air,

and they can see the stars
and you have a campfire going,

there's no better part
of life that that right there.

All of a sudden,
we hear sticks snapping,

like something stepping
on a stick.

But we couldn't see anything.

We kept going up the trail.

The reason we chose
this campsite

is that it's secluded
from the rest of
the camp ground.

There's only
one other campsite to the left

and then everything else
around that is forest.

We got there probably
at about 7:30 that night.

We'd have a campfire
and we'd make hotdogs,

and cook marshmallows
and so on.

Jack and I
were very relaxed,
we had our campfire going,

we were settling in
to our normal routine.

Do you smell that?

Yeah, yeah I do.

We were getting
this very strong taste
of iron in the air.

What... What do you think
that is?

I have no idea.

It smells like
there's blood close by,
but we didn't know where.

If you open a package of beef
and you get that fresh smell
of blood from...

You just get the beef
from the butcher's,
that's what we were getting.

I think it's coming
from over there, though.

Here, I'm gonna go
check it out.

- Well, wait a minute.
- Don't worry, I'll be fine.

We had to figure that there
must've been a fresh deer kill
right near our campsite.

I said, "I'm gonna walk
down there and see
what I can find."

It was very odd.

As a note of transparency,

I'm not the kind of person
that I get feelings
in the woods.

I'm not that person
that says, "I feel like
I'm being watched."

But I started smelling
that blood

and I started,
for the first time ever,
getting a creeped out feeling.

That's a new feeling for me.

At that moment in time,
he turned and looked at me,

and his eyeballs went "boom!"

My adrenaline was
pumping through me,
I was scared, I was shocked.

I was really terrified
at that moment.

I turn around, I see my dad
and behind him,

was this very large,
black, humanoid figure

that completely dwarfed him.

It almost entirely
blacked out our campfire.

Because of that,
I was able to fully see

its general shape
and how tall it really was.

When something
that's nine, ten-feet tall,

weighs almost 1,000 pounds

is no more than ten feet
away from you,

it's scary, you know,
I was genuinely
afraid of this thing.

He was literally
within an arm's length of me.

He could've done anything
he wanted to do to me
at that point.

He could've reached out,
he could've snapped my neck,

he could've smacked me
out of the way.

He could've done anything.
He didn't, he just
walked through.

After a couple seconds
of me just staring
completely stunned at him,

we couldn't hear anything.

We started looking around
for evidence

like footprints
or tree-break structures.

And we figured out
that there was
this large brush pile

right next to our campsite.

We saw, behind the brush pile,
were long grass that had been
pressed down.

Like something had been
squatting there watching us.

And we figured out that
it had been crouching down
behind that brush pile

waiting for us to move
out of the way or leave.

It would've had to have been
very close to our campsite.

So, we were pretty scared.

This is crazy. What-- No way!

The only thing
that we could figure,
is he wanted to go eat.

And it was going
for that deer carcass.

He smelled the blood.
He just went,
point A to point B,

and I just happened to be
standing in the way.

Hey, we gotta go.

I was, like,
immediately concerned

because my son is there,
my child is there.

I need to get my child
out of here

in case this thing
wants to be aggressive.

We gotta get this down.

And we started packing up
and we got out of there.

We were huffing
that half mile hike
back to the car

as fast as we could.

Look, over there.

I popped my spotlight on
and I just shined it up
into the woods in front of me

and probably 35 feet away,
I see these two big blue eyes

looking at me
from between two trees.

And as the spotlight hit it,

I could see a large,
black, humanoid shape.

And he turned
and I watched him
turn his body and go.

- I gotta go
look at him.
- Hey, Jack!

And I ran after it
to try to see it myself.

I was really terrified
at that moment

but I wanted to go investigate
and see what I could find.

Jack, Jack!

Now I'm in the mode
of protect my son.

I gotta get to my son,
I have to be there with him

to make sure he's safe.

Jack, Jack!

I took off after him.
The sheer size of them,
you're not prepared for.

What they could do to us
if they wanted to

would be horrific.

Jack!

Jack!

So I'm hollering,
"Jack, Jack!"

There's something out here
predatorial in nature that...

It is not afraid to kill.

Dad! Where are you?

I was scared
of being in the woods.

Jack, are you okay?

He goes, "Dad, I saw it."

And I said,
"What did you see?"

And he described
the back side of the creature,
shoulders and the upper back

as it darted into a brush line
leading into the forest.

We gotta go now,
come on.

We were scared,
that genuinely scared us.

But my adrenaline
was pumping like crazy.

I was back there
next morning to investigate.

After this happened,
Jack wouldn't go back
in the woods with me

for about six months.

I think it was getting to be
too much for him.

And I'm walking
and I look down
and I see this print.

So I took a picture of it.

And as I was walking
back to my vehicle,

I found another print
on another trail

and that's the huge print,
there's a huge print
with my foot next to it.

On the back of my jeep
is a handprint.

Now if I hold my hand up,
the palm of the hand

was a good two inches
wider than my palm.

The thumb was
an inch-and-a-half
longer than my thumb.

The fingertips
were right where
my fingertips were.

But there's no pads
in the picture below the palm
and the fingertips.

So, you would have
a pad there.

So, obviously the hand
was curled like this.

So, to the side, this is what
it would've looked like,

when it put its hand
upon my jeep.

And you can see
in the picture
lines from the skin.

You know,
like fingerprint lines

and stuff like that
from the dust on my vehicle.

It was way bigger
than my hand.

Definitely Sasquatch,
because that's not
a human handprint.

We 100% believe
this was a Bigfoot.

Everything about this said
this was Bigfoot,
this was not a bear.

Since then, I've been
more cautious about
what's around me.

But especially
around that time,

I was always on edge,
always had my guard up.

That really made us
true believers
that these creatures exist.

I think we got lucky
that it wasn't an angry one.

Any of these things
could be aggressive.

When you see
a Bigfoot for the first time,

it opens your mind,
it opens you up
to possibilities

that conventional education
doesn't teach you.

I like to tell people
I've seen stuff
in the woods at night

that would give you nightmares
for the rest of your life.

At this point, I was
absolutely terrified,
I was horrified.

I live in LaGrange, Georgia.

This area in Georgia
around here, it's very wooded.

Just a lot of forest going on,

houses are really far apart
with lots of land
in between them.

I love being outside,
every chance that I get

going on walks and being
in the wooded areas.

Old Youngs Mill Bridge
is in Hogansville, Georgia
not too far from LaGrange.

The road that the bridge is on
is a really quiet road,

not many people
are going down it,
it's just lined with trees.

I had been there
a few times before
with family

but it was always
during the daytime.

During the daytime,
everything looks fine,
it's really pretty.

A nice river and all these
really pretty trees.

You'll see animals
all the time around the river
drinking the water.

I heard that
the bridge was haunted.

I heard it from a few people
which made me
give it more thought

and it made me
also wanna go at night.

Just because
I didn't believe it.

In 2017, I was with
my father and my friend

and we all decided
to head over there.

When we got there,
it was around midnight.

We all got out of the truck
and we were a little nervous

because you don't know
what to expect.

We were the only people there.

It was completely dark
was the first thing
that I realized.

There was
no light other than
the moonlight outside.

There's no street lights, you
don't see any cars passing,
no house lights.

Standing out there
for the first five
or ten minutes, it was fine.

You could see
the moonlight on the river,

you could hear the crickets
and the little sounds.

It was really serene
and peaceful.

And I couldn't imagine
why anybody would think
this place was haunted

or had any sort of eeriness
to it.

- You hear that?
- Yeah.

After being there for maybe
ten to 15 minutes,

we started noticing that
there were just these whispers
coming from around us

but we didn't know
where they were coming from.

And we saw what
looked like little shadows
on the bank of the river

next to the bridge.

We saw the shadows
peaking over for a while
just looking at us.

We could see the shadows
turning their heads
to look at each other,

um, like they were
communicating.

Dad, look over there.

And they just went back
behind the tree.

And they never came back out,
we didn't see them anymore.

We figured that the shadows
were maybe some teenagers
playing around down there.

My friend had
noticed something in the tree.

What it seemed like was...

The best way
that I can explain it,
it was a creature

that was crouching
in the tree.

And it was crouching
on a tree branch
really high up in the tree.

The creature looked like
it was no more
than two to three-feet tall.

The best way to describe it
is to think of a child

maybe a two
or three-year-old child,

but skinny, very,
very unhealthy-looking.

It looked sickly and that was
the best that I could make out
in the moonlight.

It was definitely
not anything human.

It looked like
it was looking right at us.

And my dad, not knowing
that we were seeing anything
at all

was staring
in the other direction.

Just as I looked over
towards him,
the creature jumped.

What was that?

Something just whirred
past my head, what was it?

I didn't scream.

When I'm afraid,
I don't scream,
I don't get loud.

I get frozen.
And I was frozen.

I was trembling,
I was so fearful.

Standing out
on that bridge, you feel
extremely vulnerable.

You're surrounded by woods
everywhere else.

You feel completely alone
and like, anything
could just grab you.

- This is too much.
- Yeah, let's get out of here.

Dad, let's go.

- Honey, it's okay.
Five more minutes.
- Dad!

Then we can go.

I absolutely felt like
I was in danger.

When you have that feeling
that something was very,
very wrong with this place,

but we were definitely
terrified, we were holding
each other's hands so tight

that I could feel her nails
digging into my skin.

And I could hear her
quietly crying, because
we were so terrified.

We just wanted to leave
and we felt like we couldn't.

And it felt like every second,
there was a second closer
to real danger.

It was no more than about
two to three minutes later

that we heard howling.

Hearing the howling,
it kind of was like
something out of a movie.

It sounds like wolves,
but it made no sense.

Wolves are usually...

One will howl
and then another one and then
they all start joining in,

but when it happened
all at once
and stopped all at once,

that's what didn't make sense
about it.

It left this eerie sense
lingering in you,

giving you chills
up your spine
because that was not normal.

As if something
was mocking us.

It felt as if
we were being told,

"Ha-ha, there's nothing
you can do, we're all around."

Dad, we're scared, let's go!

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, okay.
Okay, let's go, let's go.
Let's go.

After the howling ended,
we all agreed
that it was time to go.

It wasn't just me
and my friend anymore,

we were all
thoroughly terrified
of this place now.

We high-tailed it
to the truck and we got out
of there as fast as possible.

The creatures,
they felt evil, dark.

Um, without love
or compassion,

they just felt, like,
malicious.

It was extremely terrifying,

but as time went on,
I became more curious
of the bridge

and I wanted to know
what was out there.

And I felt like something
was just calling me back there

to see what exactly
had happened that night,

almost as if to be able
to confirm to myself

that maybe that wasn't real,
maybe it was something else.

If I can give myself
another experience
at the bridge,

and everything goes normal
and is fine,

I can sort of just forget
about that one experience.

So, I went back to the bridge
about a year later.

And this was with my stepdad.

My name is David Spurgeon
and I live in Newnan, Georgia.

I have been in the military
for 13 years,

I've been on two deployments,
my most recent was
to Afghanistan.

I've done a lot of
patrol-type training,
marksmanship training,

a lot of different things.

So, I always see him
as that tough,
strong military man

that can't be afraid
of anything,

can't bothered by anything.

We were just kind of
chatting and talking,

and then suddenly, the bridge
popped to my head.

And I hadn't thought about it
in a while, but I knew
it would help relieve me

of all the fears
and wandering thoughts I had

of what happened
at that bridge,

if I could just go
one more time

and see that there's
nothing wrong with it.

- So, there's this bridge.
- Okay.

I had a weird experience
there before, and I just
kind of wanna go back

to see if there's anything
really there or if it was
just in my head.

Sure, we can go.

My stepdad was
a little bit skeptical
of anything like that.

He has always been a realist.

What he sees,
you know, then he can
believe in something,

but he'd never seen
anything paranormal

so he wanted to go
and just see.

I do not scare easy at all.

The only time
that I can get nervous
is when I know definitively

that I've lost control
of my environment.

When we got there,
it was five minutes
till midnight.

And there was no one there,
there was no lights.
It was just the moonlight.

We were talking
about how peaceful it was

and then I started thinking
about, you know, the stories
that I'd told him about it

and I just happened
to point out the tree
that I saw it in

and I was like,
"Well, hey, that's where
we saw it."

He was like, "Well, ha-ha,
I don't see anything now."

We were just making
little jokes about it.

It didn't seem real anymore.

- Are you sure
that really happened?
- Yeah.

There's nothing weird here,
look around.

He was sort of
laughing at me, saying,

"Hey, maybe it was just
that one weird experience
you guys had."

But, maybe about five minutes
of just being out there

the feeling of fear
came back all at once.

Just out of nowhere.

We were just
kind of enjoying the night

and I just had
this overwhelming feeling
over me,

like someone was present
over my shoulder,

like someone was standing
between my feet

like someone was right here.

I started heading
back over to him.

I didn't wanna sound crazy
and just tell him,

"I feel like someone's
watching me."

But as I walked over to him,
he immediately turned around

grabbed my hand and started
pulling me towards the car.

So I think my mind went
more hysterical than logic

when it came to the feeling.

When you don't see something,
but you know it's there,

you don't really know
how to react to it.

You don't know
what it's up to.

But I wanted to get Hannah
out of there

'cause I didn't know
what to expect.

There's something there.

It went from
a nice, calm night,
to "I want to leave."

It was just very,
very uncomfortable.

I had the feeling that
if I didn't get
in the car quick enough,

that something was gonna
grab me, and that's why,
as I was walking,

I didn't wanna look back,
I didn't wanna see
what was behind me.

All I could think about
was getting in the car

and making sure that
the doors were locked
and I was safe in them.

- Open the door.
What are you doing?
- I'm trying!

It's not working.

So, we eventually
got to the vehicle

but it didn't unlock,
it didn't respond at all.

This wasn't an old car,
it wasn't broken down,

there were
no problems with it.

Open it. Open it, open it!

The alarm started going off
and the lights start flashing,

and you know that
now everything around
knows where you're at.

- Open it!
- I'm trying to unlock it.

I think both of us
were in a sense of panic.

I don't know what to do.

- Open the door.
What are you doing?
- I'm trying!

- Just open it!
- I'm trying to unlock it.

When we couldn't
unlock the doors,

that was terrifying,
it felt like my safety
was right in front of me,

but I couldn't
get inside of it.

I couldn't describe
to you what could've
been going on.

I just knew that whatever
was going on with the car

had to have been in control
by this thing.

That maybe lasted
only 30, 45 seconds
to maybe a minute at the most,

but it felt like forever
when you're exposed and you're
in that sense of panic.

Eventually, the doors
were unlocked,
so we jumped inside,

turned the car on
and we immediately
drove out of there.

We didn't look behind us,
we didn't stop.

- Midnight.
- What?

Midnight.

When we got in the car
finally, and were pulling out,

and we were getting back
on the road, it was
three minutes past midnight.

And that's when I started
to formulate my own theory

that whatever happens there
starts at midnight.

Things seem to happen
at midnight.

When we first got there,
there was nothing strange
going on, it felt fine.

But about the time
that midnight should've hit

was when we started feeling
that really bad feeling.

The devil's hour
as people might say it.

We got there probably about
five minutes before midnight

and nothing was going on
until midnight had struck.

I wanted to get
as far away from that area
as possible.

I kind of knew
in the back of my mind
that I wasn't gonna go

back to Old Youngs Mill bridge
ever again.

At that point,
driving down the road
in the car, I still felt fear,

because now it didn't happen
just once, now there's
something happening again.

I think the bridge has...
It has this magnetic energy
to it.

You can be as afraid
as you want of it, you can
be terrified of ever going,

you could not want to go,
but it's telling you,

"Hey, just come on back
and look at it again,
give it another try."

So, about six months later,
I wanted to take my boyfriend
to the bridge.

My name is Kevin Worthy

and I'm a Georgia
police officer.

I was brought up
in a small town,

but where we live,
there's a lot of woods
around us

so I grew up in the woods.

Usually, we would
spend our nights
walking around

because he works
a third-shift schedule.

- Here you go.
- Thank you.

We were trying
to come up with spots to go to

because we'd already been
everywhere in the city

and that's when the bridge
came to me again.

So, what about the bridge?

Didn't you have
a bunch of weird experiences
at the bridge?

Yes. Yeah.

But I just wanna go back,
maybe it's changed.

If you insist.

Honestly, I felt
she was making a lot of it up
or either exaggerating.

I didn't believe that
she'd really seen or heard
anything to be honest.

So, we headed
back over there,
but the closer I got to it,

the worse I felt.

I still wanted to go.

I still felt like something
was pulling me
to that bridge again.

But I started to feel
just more adrenaline
the closer I got, more fear.

This sense that something knew
I was coming.

We got to the bridge,
we had pulled in and parked
and we were facing the woods.

The very first thing
I noticed when we pulled up
and the truck stopped

is that I did not
want to get out.

Everything in me
wanted to just leave
and never come back.

That feeling of I'm in danger,
that feeling that someone
is watching me,

that I'm completely
vulnerable.

- Are you okay?
- Let's just check out
the bridge

- and get out of here.
- All right,
let's check it out.

But, right as he was
getting out, he had
a phone call from a friend.

- I... I gotta take this,
it's just gonna be a minute.

- Kevin here.

I was like, "We'll leave
in just a second, let me
get out of the truck

and use the phone,"

I was talking to
one of my co-workers.

I sat there for a few minutes,
just waiting for him
to get off the phone and...

The more that I sat there,
though, the more fear I felt.

The more danger
it felt like we were in.

I'll have to change
some things around,
move something to Wednesday.

I can make that happen, yeah.

Hey, let's go.

Just one second.
It's only gonna take
one more minute. Just...

Either we go now
or we just leave.

Okay.
Okay, just one second.

So, while I'm standing there,
I see a guy walking
towards me.

And the closer he gets,
the more I realize

that it was just kind of
hovering there for a minute
over the bridge.

It was just weird,
but he was coming
straight for me.

When I first saw him
appear, I was calm

because I thought it was
just somebody walking,
like, over the bridge.

It looked like a mangled,
demonic-type person.

It terrified me.

I didn't see anything
strange,

but I started to feel
more fear.

It felt evil,
it looked evil,

everything about
the whole situation was evil.

What?

Move. Push over, push over.

- What's up?
- Nothing.

What's up? What's going on?

So I jumped in the truck
'cause I knew there was
nothing I could do

with a demonic spirit,
and you know,

I'd never seen
anything like that before.

So the only thing
I knew to do was flee.

My adrenaline
was going, my heart
was thumping.

Um, I knew that he has seen
something wrong.

I don't believe
I've been that scared before
in my life.

I don't know what's going on
out there,

but I know there's something
going on out there
that's not of this world.

What happened back there?

Later, when he was telling me
about the man that he saw,

I was trying to figure out
what it was.

I was trying to match it
to the first night's story.

The best way I can describe
the energy on the bridge

is that it feels dark,
it feels heavy.

That's the feeling you get
when you're out there
on the bridge.

She said, "See, I told you
I'd eventually get you to
believe in paranormal stuff."

And, um, I'm definitely
a lot more of a believer now
than I ever was before.

My best conclusion
to an explanation
for all of it,

is the stories I always
hear about the witchcraft
that was done there.

That there were
evil forces out there

because of people
that were playing
with these evil forces.

There's a lot of stories
about the witchcraft

and people
summoning things there.

I've heard about
animal sacrifices,
kind of rituals,

whether it's demonic
or witch-like or however
you wanna perceive that.

There was
a lot of occult activity.

My dad had experiences
there before as a teenager.

He knew that something
was weird around there.

I had heard my dad
telling me about a shack

that was about,
a little less than a mile
from the bridge.

And in the shack,
he had seen...

What he described was a pig

and it had a bamboo pipe
straight through it

and he said it looked like
it was drained
of all its blood.

This isn't just stories
anymore, this is real life.

He didn't see anybody around,
but it's terrifying to see
something like that

and that's something
that stuck with him
for an extremely long time.

I believe that the area
is possessed with entities
that were lured there

by the rituals that
these witches were doing
in the area.

I believe they hang around
because, for them,

that's a safe space for them.

I won't go back there
just because I get
a bad feeling, and it's...

it's just eerie-feeling.

And the spirits that are there

they don't want us there,
then I'll just stay away.

There's
a lot of unknowns there.

Anything that I can't explain

bothers me a lot,
even to this day .

I would possibly
go to the bridge

during the daytime maybe,

with a lot of people
when the sun's out.

But I definitely will not
ever go back at night.
