happened to me by far.

I couldn't figure out
what was behind me.

I was just terrified.

At first, I was like,
"Oh, cool, an albino deer.
That's awesome".

And then,
I was like, "Oh, no".

I was terrified.

It had every facility
to kill me.

I was the one being hunted.

I was trapped and there
was nothing I could do.

My name
is Drew Montgomery.

I was born in Houston, Texas.

When I was three,

we moved to between
two towns,

Madisonville, Texas
and Bedias, Texas.

It was way out in the country.

Our nearest neighbors
was probably
a couple of miles away.

It was the thickest woods.

It was where most
of the deer were.

I would go hunting
every day after school

or I would go fishing
every day after school.

That was the life
I grew up with.

My name
is Taylor Watzinger.

I am a registered nurse

and I am Drew Montgomery's
daughter.

I love the woods.

I started camping out
at an early age.

I grew up hunting
with my dad.

I've always loved
being outside.

My dad and I were
really close growing up.

Um, every year at the start
of deer season,

we'd go down to the farm
and we'd go hunting

and it was almost
every weekend,

if not every other weekend.

Yeah, it should be fun.

Yeah, it should be
a good time.

We'd enjoy
those moments together

and I have a special
relationship with her
because of that.

The cabin on the ranch

was specifically
just for hunting.

It's out
in the middle of nowhere.

During day, it was,
it was great.

There was nothing
creepy about it,

but as soon
as the sun would set,

the whole place just had
a very creepy vibe to it.

There was a lot that happened
down at the farm.

Any time we were down
at the farm,

I would ask him
to tell me another story

about all the creepy stuff
that happened.

I've grown up hearing about
my dad's stories all my life

and it's just kind
of become family history.

Taylor and I
had goosebumps

just because
when we tell these stories
we get goosebumps

'cause they're
very real to us,
especially me.

In my 62 years,

I've had enough events
happen to me

that I don't say,
"No, that can't be,"
to anything.

We were staunch
religious family.

We went every Sunday
afternoon for worship.

Every Wednesday night
for bible class.

We never missed.

Uh, you had to have
really good excuse

to miss going to worship.

The first event
that I would say

was a very abnormal event

happened to me
when I was 15 with my dad.

My dad and I
were coming back

from bible class
that Wednesday night

and we crossed
the Bedias creek,

to get home, uh,
each and every time
we went to worship.

At that time period,

there had been
a lot of sightings

of what people
would call UFOs.

My dad and I
were just saying,

"Who are these people
and what are
they drinking?".

I looked out across
the way to the left

and I see this light.

I point, "Oh, there's
a UFO right there."

We keep going and we notice
this thing is moving.

And it's low
and it's getting closer.

What is that?

I'm not sure.

The mood is changing
in the car from,

"This has really
been funny up to now,

and now it's not so funny,"

because this thing seems like
it's coming right to us.

What is that?

It wasn't like an airplane,
where you see orange lights

or red lights,
or anything like that.

They were white lights,
very bright.

And we lose it in the woods.

And when we think,
"Oh, thank God, it's gone".

And this white,
it comes down

and it lands
right on highway 90.

It was our way home,
and it's the only way home.

There is no way around it.

My dad hits the brakes.

"What are we gonna do?"

It scared
the living heck out of me.

It basically
made a rectangle,

if you will, or a diamond.

A light here,
a light here,

a light over here
and a light over here.

They were white lights.
Very bright.

They were so bright,

that you could not see
the craft.

You couldn't see the road.

You couldn't see
the stars through it.

You couldn't see
anything through it.

Dad, can we turn around?

My dad guns it.

He hits it with everything
he's got and goes right at it,

and as soon as he does,

this thing picks up
and goes to the right of us.

We're about two miles
from our house.

We look over to the right
and we can see our home.

We see the UFO.

My heart sank

because I see it landing
in our backyard.

I just can't believe
this is happening.

How did it know to land there?

How did it know
we were going there?

Was it just coincidence?

I'm begging my dad,
"Please, go to Madisonville.
Just don't go home."

You know, "Don't pull
in the driveway,
whatever you do".

Dad, can we go back?

My dad, I don't know
what he's thinking,

he goes in the driveway.

And he goes
in the driveway

and you could still see this
right there,

landed in our backyard.

And it's just sitting there.

Drew, stay put.

My dad gets out,
runs into the house.

I can hear it
and it's just humming.

We were scared to death.

And my dad,
he comes out with a gun

and he was planning
on shooting at that UFO.

And it's like it knew
that was gonna happen.

The thing picks up
and takes a right turn

and goes up the hill
to the back of our property.

It slowly drifts
over the hill,

but it kept that constant
noise all the way.

The next thing you know,
we've got reporters coming

and talking to us,
and now it's in the paper.

MUFON,
the Mutual UFO Network,

deemed that this was
an actual encounter.

So it's in the MUFON
records as having happened.

The UFO was definitely
the beginning...

but it was not the end.

The UFO was the first thing

that's happened to the family.

I think it just kinda
kickstarted everything.

Creepy stuff usually
happened around the farm.

We would hunt separately.

I just remember having
to walk to my stand

in the morning.

And I just remember always
feeling a presence around me.

Always feeling like eyes
were watching me.

One of my favorite
things to do

was to lay out on the dock...

and just get lost
on the sea of stars.

It was so quiet out there
that you could hear

every little snap of a twig.

You could hear everything.

It was kind of deafening
how quiet it was.

But after being out
there for a while,

I started to hear things.

I can't even describe
the sound.

It was just...

lots of clicking,

lots of twigs snapping

and I could feel a presence.

I don't know what it was.

It just sounded
like it didn't belong.

And I just immediately

filled with this
awful sense of dread.

I was terrified
that whatever was around

was going to appear
to me and interact with me.

And I did not want that.
I did not want
any part of that.

I felt so unsafe.

I don't know if it was
trying to scare me or what,

but I just know
that I just had the worst
feeling of dread from it.

The cabin on the ranch

was just a really simplistic,
hunting cabin.

- One evening...
- You ready to eat, hon?

Dad made dinner
of hot dogs,

chili dogs and spam.

We hear a knock
on the side of the cabin.

It's not even on the door,
it's just on the side
of the cabin.

And it's like three knocks.

And we hear it,
but it's just like,

"What is that?"

My dad and I
look at each other like,

"Did you hear that?
What was that?"

While we were
discussing it...

It knocks three times

on the other side
of the cabin.

The knock was so clear,

and so I look at my dad
and I'm like,

"Dad, go outside.
Go see what this is."

You should go outside
and check that out.

I don't know what it was,

but in the remote areas
of Texas,

if you get
on someone's property,
you're gonna get shot.

So, if it was a person,

they were making
a pretty big gamble
with their life.

I was terrified

because whatever
it was out there
it didn't belong.

Do you see anything there?

No, I don't see anything.

We talked about going out
and investigating it.

And we just don't wanna
chase it down

for fear of what
we're gonna find.

I just wanted to make sure
all the doors were locked.

We had guns besides us

and we went to bed
quickly after that.

That night I have a dream
where my dad and I
are at the cabin...

and it's being attacked
by something.

Two or three in the morning,

I was pretty abruptly
woken up by a noise.

And it took me
a while to figure out
what I was hearing.

My head was four feet away
from what I was hearing.

It was something, someone,

sprinting back
and forth on the porch,

and it was kind of a sprint,
sprint, walk, walk,

sprint, walk, sprint,

back and forth,
back and forth.

And this was probably going on
for about five minutes.

It was pretty big.

It had two legs
and it wasn't wearing shoes.

I am frozen in fear.

I knew if I turned around
and looked at this thing,

I was gonna be scarred
for life.

Because in my mind,
there was no way

that that was a person
because of the distance

that they would've had
to walk.

We were literally out
in the middle of nowhere

and if it wasn't a person...

I think I thought
it was an alien,

that's the first thing
that popped up in my head,

just because
of the feeling I had,

the feeling of dread.

I did not feel safe.

Dad.

I felt like they were
gonna hurt us.

Dad, wake up.

I was absolutely terrified.

Dad. Dad.

Dad, wake up! Dad! Dad!

So, she is screaming.

She is going ape crazy

trying to wake me up

to say something's
on the front porch.

And I believe there
is somebody there

because of the way
she's acting.

Now, I'm freaked out a bit
because we're down there

in the middle of nowhere.
There shouldn't be
anybody there.

Hand me a gun.
Hand me a gun!

This definitely impacted her,

uh, in that she knew
what she heard

and she knew
it was human-like.

She's not somebody that's
gonna make something up.

Anybody out there?

I swear I will shoot you.

He put on his boots

and went outside with a gun
and a torchlight.

I get her to go
to the front door

to say, "I'm going
around this side.

If you see anything
come around

the other side shoot it."

We look for probably an hour,
uh, all around the cabin.

I shined all out in the woods
and there's no trace.

When you're not
with someone else,

those are really some
of the scariest woods,

because you have nobody
to turn to but yourself.

I hear the noise out there.

Shine the light
exactly where it's at.

There's nothing there.
I turn the light off...

...and I hear it again.

There is nobody down there.

No one lives down there.

It is just us in that cabin.

And there should not be
anything over there

other than an animal.

So I finally give up
and I begin to walk
back to the cabin.

As I'm walking back,

a rock comes flying
through the air

and lands just about
this far from my feet.

And I'm shining everywhere

I can shine to see
what is it

that just threw
a rock at me.

I cannot find anything.

I look everywhere
and I turn off the light

and I'll hear
a little something
and I'll shine over there.

I don't make it
to the cabin

before another rock
comes over my shoulder...

and hits between me
and the cabin.

Now I begin to panic.

I've been around every animal
that we have.

Nothing has hands

and nothing can throw a rock
that big that far

and come in at that angle
that it was coming in at.

If it would've hit me
in the head,

it could've knocked
me out or kill me

'cause it was
that big of a rock.

Whatever it was,
it did not want me there.

And whatever it was,
it did not want to be seen.

And whatever it was,
it could throw a rock

that was a pound
and a half or two pounds.

Could it be something
from another planet

that has cloaking technology?

Absolutely. I'm gonna say
that possibility is there.

It could be an alien.

Whatever has been down there
doesn't want to be seen.

I think it will always be
in the back of my mind

if I ever go out
in the woods.

These experiences
have changed my life

a 180 degrees

because I was
a very skeptical person

about a lot of things.

I'm skeptical
of none of that now.

I do believe
there is alien life.

I think the UFO was aliens.

I think that, that's
what was in the craft.

I agree with my dad.

There is just so much
to these occurrences

that are unexplainable.

I'm a believer,
and I'm more a believer now,

and still I think
there's more to come.

I think that
we will realize...

that we're not alone.

At first I'm like,
"Oh, cool,
it's an albino deer.

That's awesome."
And then, I was like,

"Oh, no."

I was terrified.

to kill me.

I'm Colton Barker.

I have grown up
in Logan County,
West Virginia.

It's a small town.
Everybody knows everybody.

I live with my nana and papaw.

They adopted me
when I was three.

I've been in the outdoors
my whole life.

First time I went hunting

I would say
I was eight or nine.

And one of the first
few trips we went,

um, I ended up killing
my first deer

with my papaw's rifle.

I've seen a lot of things
in the woods,

but I've never seen
anything like this.

It was the summer of 2018.

Me and my nana and papaw,

we gonna now set up
a hunting camp.

It's just a nice vacation spot
away from the world.

We unload the four-wheeler.

Don't forget the lunch kit.
Okay?

Take it. I'll meet you down.

And I hear some twigs break
often to the right of me.

I realize
that something's not right.

I got that feeling
like eyes on you

like you're being watched,

that weird eyes-on-the-back
of-your-head type deal.

Normally when we're out there,
I'd go fishing.

I wanna catch
at least a couple tonight.

- Make sure they're
big ones, all right?
- I hope so.

I have chicken livers.

I load everything up,
I load my fishing pole up.

Throw a hatchet on
in case of snake,

'cause water snakes are
pretty common there.

- See you later
- See ya.

I'll pull down to the pond
and it's ten o'clock,
give or take.

I cast a long out.

And just sit there and fish.

An hour, an hour
and a half went by.

It's getting
close to midnight.

And then...

And I hear some twigs break.

Some branches rustle.

And I'm thinking,
"Maybe it's a deer, maybe
it's a coyote. No big deal."

Nonetheless, I moved
the hatchet closer to me

to, you know, make me feel
a little bit better.

I glance my flashlight
over to see if I can
get some eyeshine,

'cause a lot of animals,
you shine a light
on their eyes,

it will shine back for you.
I just didn't see any.

I just kept fishing.

I hear a loud crack,
like a branch or
something like falling.

Like something fell.

I said, "Yeah, I'm gonna go
check it out.

See if somebody needs
any help."

I'm walking and I'm scanning
with the light left and right.

And just I'm scanning
back and forth
with my light...

and then...

Out of the corner of my eye
I see movement.

At first I'm like, "Oh, cool,
it's an albino deer.

That's awesome."

And, then as a little bit
more crept in,

I saw it didn't have fur.

That's when, at that moment,

it sunk in like
something's not right.

I see, as it walks
into the light slowly,

it's almost reflective.

I couldn't tell
maybe it just has
its mouth open or...

but it was
a humanoid-shaped head.

It looked at me dead-on.

I was terrified.
I was like, "Oh, no."

I was petrified.
I just kind of froze up.

And I'm like, "This isn't,
this isn't normal.

This isn't supposed
to be happening."

It was just pure, pure fear.

So I'm just having
the hatchet ready
just in case.

I started thinking, "Okay,

if I leave it alone,
it's gonna leave me alone."

So I take that step back.

But it didn't leave me alone.

It takes a step almost equal
in distance towards me.

That's when I started
to get really scared.

And then my foot
kinda slipped.

I'm like, "Oh, no."

It's got the high ground,
I'm off bet. I'm, I'm dead.

But then I got
my footing back.

and just ran as fast
as possible.

I look over my shoulder
and saw it running,

keeping pace
like ten feet behind me.

And I can see its hands,
they're just like a monkey's.

You know,
its teeth are exposed.

So, it had every facility
to kill me.

I'm like,
"Okay, I gotta go fast."

That thing, it was smart.

It just made me feel
like I was the one
being hunted.

I was trapped and there
was nothing I could do.

All of a sudden
I'm glancing over

and it's in the middle
of the road.
Just stopped.

Then it just kinda makes
its way across the road

into the woods.

It's not behind me,
it's going that way.

A way I'm not.

So, it was complete relief.

I pull into the camp,

bust in the house
acting like an idiot.

I shut the door as fast
but as quiet as I can.

I'm thinking, "Okay,
I'm safe, I'm safe...

but what if?"

My papaw keeps a gun
with him at all time

so I knew,
if he heard glass shatter

and me yell...

he'd be coming with a pistol.

I hadn't planned
on telling anybody.

No one was gonna believe me.

And I just go sit down,
shell-shocked.

I just wanted to forget it,
you know,

weird experience in the woods.

The next morning, I wake up.

Papaw's outside.

He's topping a couple
of trees around the camp.

Hey, what's up?
Everything okay?

I mentioned that,
you know, I saw

a weird animal to papaw.

What thing?

And he just
kind of shrugged it off.

"It's just an animal."

It's like it's just a deer.

I had no doubt
what I saw was real.

I just don't know what it was.

There has to be
something logical for it,

but I don't, I don't know.

Let's go.

For a long time,
I tried to forget it.

I eventually curiosity
got the best of me.

I looked
into different accounts.

You know, I started looking

and reading about
a skin-walker creature.

Just like, that seems...

that's seems pretty,
pretty similar.

Those seem to be closest thing
I can come to describe this.

Most all Appalachia's
been explored.

But there's deep mounds
and cave systems.

So, to me, it's a possibility

of a cave-dwelling creature,

skin-walker that can
move from the cave

to the many abandoned,
uh, mounds.

Seeing this thing,

it's probably the single
most terrifying
moment I've had.

I mean, I've seen
some weird things
in the woods, you know,

but this... this is
nothing like that.

It was nothing
but pure shock and terror.

And I know there's still
something hanging
around out there.
