Somewhere in the north of Hungary,
scattered between pine-groves

in the lap of the mountains
there is a little village

Far from everything.
It's air is clean and rich...

...thus many tourists drop by,
to whom the locals rent out rooms
on a weekly regime.

In this place, where silence
and peacefulness reigned,

hasn't been a fire for a long time,
take an example

lived a communal fireman
called T�th Lajos.

As he walked the high street
everybody greeted him upfront

surrounded by
an all-pervasive respect

due to his friendly nature,
and stately posture.

He would have the head-seat
at weddings

One seeked his council if
one wanted to reposition his stove.

In case of fatalities
the coroner was called as soon
as he adjudjed his visitation.

T�th lived an exemplary family life.

His wife, Mariska,
