This time, I would like to proceed with the process of adding highlights.

First, I will add highlights from the main character's hair.

I will do the highlights with overlay this time.

Overlay has the effect of making the bright areas brighter and the dark areas less bright depending on the height and height of the main character you chose.

Let's start with the bright part of the hair.

When adding highlights, the place where you want to give flow is drawn with a stroke that flows like this.

When painting the hair, I draw it with the feeling of being aware of the flow of water.

If you do this, it is easy to imagine a glossy feeling.

I will lock the transparent pixel and adjust the color with a slightly lower brightness gray.

That's it for the hair.

Let's draw the main character's hair.

If you add highlights to the black hair, the atmosphere will change at once.

In this way, the hair is complete.

Next, let's move on to the clothes.

I want to give the highlight a soft impression, so I will use a dark watercolor with a brush.

The highlights are like this.

The metal part can express the hard feeling of gloss and metal by making the boundaries between the bright and dark areas clear.

The clothes can express a cloth-like feeling by blurring the boundaries and making a soft impression.

That's it for the highlights.

The image changes a lot depending on the intensity of the highlights.

If you add a very bright highlight, it will express a glossy feeling.

If you want to make it matte, reduce the brightness as much as possible.
