Naturally, that's where black
people get our groceries.

I hear the squad car pull
up, I heard it pull up.

I get terrified.

First thing I do is
run right out the door

and I'm down the street.

Took me about, you know,

30 seconds before I hit myself and said,

"Why the hell am I running?
I'm the damn police."

"Hell, I didn't do nothing."

Man, but one day...

one day it ain't gonna be like that.

For any of us.

I just hope I'm around to see it.
