Let me start by saying that there is no
"total Russian offensive throughout the east",

as they have started to actively write and talk
about. You know that the enemy does not have the

capabilities for this, it is only an imitation
with an attempt at localized breakthroughs. Yes,

there may be minor successes,
but this is not something that

can have any effect on the Ukrainian
offensive except for its inhibition.

If you wonder where such losses of
Russian tanks and Armoured fighting

vehicles in the reports come
from, the answer is Avdiivka.

In the near future, Russian propaganda
will significantly increase the spread

of fakes and manipulations related to
the situation in the Avdiivka area. We

will hear about catastrophic losses
of the AFU in the area of Avdiivka,

the escape of Ukrainian defenders from this
direction and the complete encirclement of

Avdiivka using the term "cauldron". Just
remember that this is Russian propaganda.

In this context, I note that the situation in the
Avdiivka area is indeed not simple. But it has not

been simple before, and Avdiivka is a town that
has been in constant defense since 2014. And after

the full-scale invasion, various Russian units
tried many times to storm it. It didn't succeed.

But the so-called "Avdiivka bulge" appeared -
Russian positions on the flanks and Avdiivka in

the center. Naturally, all this theoretically
makes the situation dangerous for the AFU and,

on the contrary, favorable for the
Russian army. It is possible to

attack from several sides at once. But
so far all attempts have been in vain,

the AFU even counterattacked and managed to
liberate some part of the territory in the south.

Yesterday was one of the most
difficult days in the Avdiivka area.

The enemy moved in several columns, moreover,

packed with paratroopers. It was all to the
accompaniment of artillery, aviation and

rockets. The columns came from Krasnohorivka,
Novoselivka Druha, Vodiane, Pisky and Vesele.

On the northern outskirts of Avdiivka
there are two high terricons,

and the city itself stands on a small
hill relative to the area around. All

of this helps the Ukrainian military to
defend it and quickly spot any attempted

attacks. The terrain is open, there are few
plantations, only one forest to the east.

They were counting on a quick breakthrough
by a large armored fist. Both from the north

and south of Avdiivka. Given the number of
personnel and equipment that was involved,

the results are simply deplorable for
the enemy. As commented by the fighters

themselves from the Avdiivka direction - this
is another meat assault, which is important to

withstand. The tactics of the enemy has not
changed, a lot of them sent to the assault.

The Russian command hoped for a blitzkrieg,
but as a result they received colossal losses

of equipment and personnel, soon OSINT analysts
will calculate everything. Hundreds of marines

were landed and are still wandering the grey zone.
The Russians have heavy losses, evacuation is not

organized, however, as always. They're shooting
at each other because of poor communications.

They are even better at dealing with
the degradation of their own army than

the Ukrainians are at helping them. The way
the occupiers stormed Avdiivka in the first

wave - it was not even Vuhledar or Bilohorivka,
it was a real shooting gallery. It's like the

first days of a full-scale war, only with
worse composition, quality and layout.

But the fighting continues and
there will be the next waves.
