hi and welcome back to the WordPress training

so the next component that I like to talk about is

creating pages for your WordPress site

so it's very much possible to create different pages

on your site so people can take a look at different

the different pages that you want to display to them

so this could be the home page

the offer page

the review page

the product page

contact us page

or and about us page

to talk about who you are

you know as a company or as an individual right so

how one of the steps to to create a page

right so the same thing go to your dashboard

so I'd like to introduce to you

this section called pages

right we've talked about settings

we talked about appearance

now we want to go to pages

so on the pages

all you need to do is click add new

to add a brand new page

once you've done that

you can enter the title of the page

so for this video

I'll just do an about us page

okay so you can see here

there's a text editor over here where you can add media

change different settings

bold italic

the standard text editor

so one of the things you notice over here is

visual and text

so you always want to remember that

you want to be on the visual side of things

unless you're dealing with code

which is something that we'll talk about in the video

embedding section

but all pages that you can add content at images

you always want to be at the visual side of things

right so over here

then you will

type in your content about perhaps who you are

how long has your company been around for

or when was it established

and what kind of products and services

do you generally offer

or you could talk about the history of the company

or how did it came about

you know when you establish the company

your service

you started out right

the basic information about your website

right it could be

just a very simple paragraph

to just explain who you are

once you've done that at the site

over here you can see this publish section

right you can see this as a draft

you can change the different visibility

if you like to keep it private

when to publish it and things like that

but for this demo

I'll just go ahead and click publish

but before I do that

you want you notice that this page attributes over here

so in this area

you can actually change the order of your page

right so if you created multiple pages

and for example

if you want the about us page to be the first

first you know

in sequence

the No. 1 is about us

No. 2 is offer page

No. 3 is um

your view page

so you can actually do that over here

so just to start off

I put this as zero because this is our very first page

in the subsequent pages

you'll be able to see that you're able to tweak

these different sequences

so that it appears differently on your site

so for this demo I'll just go ahead and click publish

all right and there you have it

so to stand it

if you'd like to find out

if the page has been published

go ahead to your site again

and you can see this is your very first page

and it appears in the tab format

and any new pages will come behind this

and you can kind of change the sequence later on

as you know

described previously

so if I just click to my about us page

there we go

so over here

obviously you want to change the content

and make it relevant to your website

your company or your brand

but this is the very basics of creating a page

and having it published on your WordPress site
