heal, if you really do regret everything that's happened,

And although she had reservations, given Eric's

>> Eric: No, he was planning a memorial service for the woman

that's dead. I mean, he's lucky he got

he should've came to me when Nicole was alive.

He had all the time he needed to tell me that he was the

reason why he blackmailed her out of my life.

If he would've told me, I would've had enough time.

I could've saved her. But now the only link

that I have to her is Holly. And I could lose her too.

you know, paperwork and all that bureaucratic stuff that gets

but, of course, if the mayor was more organized, he would've

take care of the paperwork today and then I can preside over

the ceremony in a week or so? >> Leo: Oh, we really had our

hearts set on today. Um, and I was sort of hoping

that some of the paperwork was optional?

I understand you recently married Marlena Evans

and John Black. >> Abe: Well, there--there were

mitigating circumstances, and they were longtime

family friends. >> Leo: So is my groom.

>> Sheila: Groom? How modern.

>> Leo: I was hoping to surprise him by having you marry us.

Your presence would mean so much to him.

>> Abe: Exactly who are you marrying?

>> Leo: Jackson Kiriakis.

Let's say I do-- let's say I tell Maggie

that I started the fight and Eric gets custody

and then Eric's emotional issues start to rise to the surface

again and then Eric starts drinking again.

And we all know what happens when he starts drinking.

Maybe his emotional issues are too much right now.

Maybe he shouldn't parent Holly. I'm inclined to agree with her.

You've seen him with that little girl, and you know

how hard he has worked on his demons.

Instead of this being about you and Eric and who loved

Nicole the most and who's been hit the hardest and

whose fault it all really is, why can't it just be about

this little girl who already loves that man

like he's her dad? I hope you'll just at least

think about it.

Man, I spent six hours at HR watching a boring-ass video

about that. And that's a bona fide no-no.

You're the young man who filed suit against Sonny

for sexual harassment. You nearly destroyed his life.

>> Leo: Uh, well, what happened between Sonny and I was

a misunderstanding. We fell in love.

Sonny freaked out and then fired me for the good

of the company. >> Sheila: And you felt

betrayed? I mean, all those long, hard

hours busting your ass for a man who showed

zero appreciation? [scoffs] I feel your pain.

>> Abe: And now... you're getting married?

>> Leo: Mm-hmm. >> Abe: What made Sonny

change his mind? >> Leo: Well, it wasn't Sonny.

It was me. One good smack upside my head

made me realize I was overreacting.

There was no need for a lawsuit, not when it could gut something

as beautiful as our love. >> Abe: Sonny lost his job

because of you. >> Leo: Yes, and I feel

terrible about that. Really, I do.

But Titan was the obstacle to our happiness.

Now that neither of us are employed there, we can spend

the rest of our lives together. >> Abe: You and Sonny.

True love. After all the scandal and pain

you caused him... he's forgiven you?

It's one of the things Sonny loves about me.

Holly's mother is dead because of his lies and blackmail.

>> Chloe: A letter from Nicole. What's going on?

All her attorney said was that he was instructed

to deliver this letter to you via my firm

on the occasion of Nicole's death.

The sexual harassment suit was dismissed,

and it was bogus to begin with. Honey, he's got nothing.

>> Sonny: Unfortunately he has a hell of a lot.

Mom, I could go to prison. And so could Will.

>> Justin: Okay, you need to, uh, fill us both in.

Why are you in that suit? >> Sonny: [sighs]

reservations about Eric's fitness to parent Holly

So there just has to be some way out of this or

some way to buy time until we can figure a way out of this.

>> Will: We don't have any time. They're getting married today.

>> Adrienne: You, out of my house now.

>> Sheila: Can't do that. See, I'm here on

official business. >> Leo: She's here to marry us.

>> Sonny: Wait, our-- our former housekeeper is gonna

be performing the ceremony? >> Leo: Actually, I wanted

the mayor to marry us. He declined, so his assistant--

ordained online-- is the next best thing.

>> Adrienne: Oh, I seriously doubt that.

>> Leo: The society page will still read, "Leo Starke

and Jackson Kiriakis were married by a representative

from the mayor's office." And since we're all here,

shall we get the party started? Okay.

>> Marlena: What about a preemptive strike?

What about just... going to the police and

telling them what happened? >> Will: [sighs]

Our word against Leo's. And he has those pictures.

>> Marlena: Well, look, you've got Justin on your side.

And th-there's a slight chance that the police will believe

the truth about what happened. >> Will: A slight chance is not

a chance I want to take. Ari doesn't need both of her

dads to be in prison, not--not after what happened

with Gabi. We got no choice.

We do it Leo's way... for now.

You know, the worst part about this whole thing

is that... Sonny and Leo are saying their

vows in the Kiriakis mansion, where you married Sonny and me.

>> Marlena: Sonny loves you. That hasn't changed.

>> Will: Is this the part where you tell me that our love is

gonna get us through all of this?

>> Marlena: This is where I tell you that I believe in the

strength and resilience of your relationship with Sonny.

That's what I'm telling you. >> Will: Maybe you're right.

Maybe I should go over there. To hell with Leo's threats.

Face him down. Break the whole thing up.

>> Brady: This is from Nicole. >> Chloe: Yeah, I guess

she wrote it after she was forced to marry Xander.

I guess she was afraid that he was gonna kill her.

>> Brady: "Dear Chloe, every time I look at my precious

daughter, I think of you and the sacrifice you made

to bring her into this world for me and for Daniel.

Holly is the joy in my life. She is my life.

Her smile, her laugh, her kindness, they so remind me

of her father. It brings me great comfort

that he lives on in her, my little angel.

Though it's perhaps unfair to you not to explain exactly

what happened and why, I hope you'll accept

that it's better for now that I leave out the details.

All you need to know is that... Brady destroyed any chance

of happiness I might have had with Eric.

And though my heart aches for that loss and always will,

I've had to let go of any hope that Eric and I might be

together again. For Holly's sake more than

my own, I've tried very hard not to look back,

not to long for someone who can no longer be part of my life.

Therefore I must ask you a huge favor.

Though Holly is my child and Daniel's, I know that

the nine months you carried her bonded you with her

in a very special way... and that because of that bond,

because you gave birth to her, you love her with all

your heart. That's why, if anything

should happen to me, it's my wish that my sweet

daughter be... raised by you

alongside her half brother, Daniel's son, Parker."

And you're right. Raising a child is a lifelong

responsibility. It takes strength...

patience... even forgiveness.
