can fit into your workflows.

and I'm here with Mix With The Masters

to talk to you about Dolby Atmos
and how it fits into the music ecosystem.

The Dolby Atmos Music Panner is a VST, an
Audio Unit, and an AAX-compatible plug-in

that sends metadata,
control metadata, pan metadata,

from your workstation,
whether that's Logic Pro, Ableton Live,

any Audio Units-compatible workstation
on a Mac, is able to use that Music Panner

to send metadata to your renderer.

We really kind of formalized that 9.1.4
or 9.1.6. It was really what we wanted

for music creation, because it allowed
complete coverage

using transducers of that sound field.

So, creatively you can get to a single mix
of Dolby Atmos that will translate

into binaural, as well as into speakers,
and you can do that by saying,

"Okay, that speaker mix is great."

And then use those binaural Render Modes
to actually improve and clarify

how that is going to transfer into formats
that use our AC-4 IMS Codec

to deliver that experience.

The more that you can stick
to those best practices,

the more you're going to get
mixes that translate

to all of those different environments.
