got hired to work on

one of the most prestigious

and well-known homes
in Summerville.

It's gonna be so much fun,

but it's also gonna
be a lot of work.

So we are trying to soak up
every bit of these

last few relaxing moments
while we still can.

in the beautiful town

of Summerville,

It's filled with
historic homes.

It's really important to us

to preserve the history
of these homes.

all the design, colors,

and the creativity
to these projects.

And he does all the hard work.

oversees all of our projects.

home in Summerville.

Elizabeth Arden bought
the house in 1938.

And everybody calls
it the "red door."

[Gray] She was an extremely
famous businesswoman

who built a cosmetic empire,

and her signature branding
was the red door.

[Mike] What I did discover,

is she changed
the color of that door
for every season,

and the final color
that she painted it
was the red door.

I can't believe that we're
getting an opportunity

to leave our imprint on
such an important house.

this house was built?

[Allison] So my daughter's
getting married,

and said, "I'm not getting
married in Ohio.

Can you come and help
with the wedding?"

she's gonna be
marrying outside

on the lawn in four months,

so a little bit
of a deadline, here.

such a time constraint,

we're just gonna
focus in phases.

And so for the first phase,

we're gonna take care of
a couple of bedrooms,

because we've got, like,
25 people coming to stay here,

have the reception around
the poolhouse,

so we'd like to do
a renovation there.

And then maybe
after the wedding,

you guys can come back,
we can start another project!

that we're gonna expose.

So right now, I'm just gonna
tear off some wood,

and I think it's gonna be
a pretty awesome feature

and we saw some smoke,

coming out of the third
floor of the Arden house.

was some old wiring

So, we were basically
up here working,

we heard a pop come
out of this outlet,

and then I turned
over my shoulder,

and I see the smoke was
billowing quick and fast.

In five minutes, had that
not been addressed,

we might not be looking
at this house anymore.

that we were here.

And we have to make
sure that we preserve it.
