a long time Add-on into kind of the native build

for the application.

So once you install ArchiCAD, if you go up to your options

and you go over to the work environment

and go to apply profile

and click on MEP engineering basic profile.

And so with that, you have this new kind of options

and objects that come inside of your toolbar

and you also have this pet pallet that shows up.

And so with this pet palette, you have different options

of the type of MEP system that you're going to be installing

or designing and so you have ductwork, pipework and cabling.

So we'll just keep it with ductwork,

and we have different types of duct.

So you have a rectangular duct, a circular or oval

or even a flexible duct.

So let's just use a round duct and so when we go in here

we also have the options of kind of the construction method

where that note is that we're going to use to place the object.

So whether it's in the center of the mass here

or at the top or at the bottom.

So I'm going to just use the bottom.

So I'm going to set the bottom as nine feets

and let me actually add four inches to that.

so it could be a flange connection or a simple body,

it could have insulation or it could not have insulation

and then the bend could be a plead bend,

and then you also have a transition rule,

And so let's just keep it on after the bend.

Then I can place this ductwork by pushing

the start route, start routing.

you have the direction and you have the distance

is that we have kind of these elements of the palette.

And so here we have select connected elements.

that are connected to that ductwork.

and so, there we have kind of beginnings of you know,

a routes for our ductwork and we can also connect to it

on the flyer and we can do different types of junctions.

and if you zoom in a little bit, you can see an arrow

and it's pointing which direction do you actually

want to connect it in.

So since this is a single storey house,

we can connect right off of there

and again we can adjust our duct

that connect to this ductwork.

And so this is really good tool to kind of create

like a schematic design, provide this to your engineer

and have them maybe further design or give you pointers

on how to make the design more efficient.
