a little bit one more time,

and we're going to talk about a object called the curtain wall.

And so the curtain wall can be found over here,

and again, push that little arrow

and you can see what comes stock with the favorites.

And a curtain wall is a object or element

that can exist by itself,

but it represents a large self supporting wall

that might have glass or spandrel panels in it.

You often see this in a commercial building

or something of that nature.

So let's click through this.

The scheme kind of defines how the panels

are going to be laid out.

And so you can adjust these schemes,

you can add to them.

And so this is the height,

so it's adding panels vertically.

We can also add panels horizontally

and we can change the height of these,

we can give them different types of panels.

So one of them can be a different color.

We can also make cross braces in them,

or something that's a little bit more unique.

And we can also change it so that it's fixed sizes,

or it's the best division of your linear path

that you're laying them out.

And then we can adjust the frames.

So we can say that the mullions are either

butt glazed or the frames are built in.

So we can change that for the mullions

and we can change transom frames so that they match,

and we can change the boundary frames.

And so there's a lot of different options.

Now we'll go down to panels.

And so we can have a ton of different panels

within our curtain wall system.

We can put sliding doors,

we can have double doors,

we could use that to further delineate

what we want with this object.

We can also adjust the junction

so that it could have hardware

that's kind of custom to it.

And we can also add accessories like sun shades

or little elements like metal caps

or different anchors within that.

So let's just place this

and get an idea of what it can do.

So first I'm just going to select where I want it.

And it's similar to the wall tool,

you know, I can select any kind of direction.

And let's make it a couple different pieces.

So I can set my distance by just pushing shift and R,

and then I'll just go 25 feet,

and let's just make kind of an L,

and I'll make this one 50 feet.

And so when I'm done I just click again,

and let's take a look at that.

So I'll just right click on it

And so you can see,

the design that we created

is repeated at a certain distance.

And say if we wanted to edit this,

we can go in here and push this.

Once we select the element we can push edit.

And we can hide certain elements that we don't want to edit

so that we're not necessarily editing everything.

And we can select these elements,

we can adjust them,

we can select the panels all the way across,

we can also select the panels that are vertical,

and we can start to manipulate those.

but you can turn off the environment

So that's the curtain wall tool.

There are a lot of different applications for this tool

and they actually go beyond just vertical elements.

They can also be used in a horizontal element.
