- So now let's talk about the Polyline tool.

So the Polyline tool is in your documents

in your toolbar and it's right here.

So we have the pipeline tool.

And if I double-click that I can open up

some of the settings

and I can make some adjustments that type of line.

So you see right here, there is the option to

have a continuous line or dash lines by segment.

And so right now this is unavailable to us,

but if we add like a dash line,

this becomes available to us.

And so let's look at the difference

of these two options here.

And let's quickly look at that.

So with this,

let's make a box with a Polyline tool

and let's look at these edges a little bit more closely.

So with this pipeline tool

we now have an option to adjust where those corners are

and how they look.

So this one is showing that the corners

are not evenly distributed necessarily

on the edge or on the corner itself.

But if we push this, then we get this clean

consistent length on all four corners.

So this works with basically any of the Polylines settings.

I'm just going to observe the properties

and show you another example really quickly.

And so what we get do change

the geometry type.

So we're going to do a polygon all.

So let me just click a few here.

And so you can see those corners

look pretty consistent

and let's just change it and see what it looks like.

So now it looks at the corners are hitting the edge

and they're basically starting from that edge point

instead of having kind of the body of that line

at the edge.

So that's one feature.

So, you know,

the difference

between a polygon line and a simple line

is that the polygon is going to be altogether.

Once you create it.

And it is kind of one component versus a line tool

which creates different components

that are potentially grouped.

And so these are grouped individual lines.

And so you don't have the option to manipulate the kind

of condition at the corners.

So let's look at a few other settings.

So I'm just going to go up here

to the settings dialogue

and open that up.

And we have different types

of line if it's the category of line.

So we have this property area and we can adjust this.

So if it's a cut line or a skin separator or just drafting

we can also adjust the renovation status

so existing to be demolished and new

depending on what your renovation filters are.

And then we can also adjust which filters it shows up on.

And of course we can adjust the line type.

We can adjust if it has a Arrowhead

and what type of Arrowhead that might be

and we can adjust the pin weight for the head itself.

And of course, layers

we can adjust these layers accordingly.

So I'm actually really excited about this pipeline tool.

And the reason is

is it does give you a lot more capabilities

in how your line work looks.

And this is a pretty unique feature among kind

of offering softwares to be able to control the line

in that minute or granular kind of level.

And so that's the Polyline tool.
