- [Instructor] Let's talk about doors.

So doors can be found in the toolbox.

So if you go over to your toolbox,

and you have a little door symbol here,

and if you click on that little fly out ,

there's some predefined doors.

Let's put some of these predefined doors in.

So let's do an entrance door.

So I just double clicked on that and now I can place it.

And there's a couple of different ways to place the door.

You can place it in the center of the door.

You could place it on one side or on the second side.

So let's just put it in the center.

So there's the door.

And when you're placing the door,

you select which side is going to be the outside.

So I'm selecting this

as the outside and that's the first click,

and the second click is going to be what

the opening angle is going to be.

So I'm going to open it in

towards the house, or the interior of the house,

and I'm going to have it open to the left-hand side there.

So I'm going to click there.

There is one of our doors.

Let's place a couple more.

I know there's a door back here somewhere.

So I'm going to place a door here

and I'm going to do the same thing.

So find out which side's the outside and then click.

And then let's try to put a garage door in there.

So I'm going to double click in there.

And when you bring up the door dialog box, it's more

of a list of different objects that represent doors.

So we have metal doors,

we have a bunch of wood doors,

we have entrance doors that are wood,

we have internal doors that are mainly wood,

and then let's go to the specialty doors

and let's go to garage doors.

And so you could bring this up

so you could see it a little better

by clicking near that little node or that little circle.

And I'm going to choose this D1 03 23 garage door.

And this is what it's going to look like in floor plan.

This is the width, the height.

This is the height to the header from the story.

I'm going to change this so that it is

the header height to the wall base.

And then this is the reveal at the face.

And so let's look at some of the other settings.

We can change the leaf, so I can have a custom leaf.

That's a little bit more complicated technique,

but basically you can create whatever kind

of panel you want for that door.

I think I'm good with this.

And you can change the number of sections.

I think that's probably about right.

Maybe we could add one more section there.

So we can change the frame

and then the thickness of the actual panel itself

as well as the thickness of the width of the frame there.

And so I think we're good with all these settings

and let's look at some of the floor plan settings.

So let's just change this it's about right,

but let's just make it a little bit different color here.

It's going to 0.09 millimeters or 0.26 point

and we'll just use that.

And then dimension marker.

So that's D marker 23.

Let's change that to door marker USA, 23.

We could change the textile.

So there's a lot of different options

and configurations you can do.

So let's just place that door,

let's actually place two of them.

So let's put one here and click,

and then I'm going to choose the outside and click.

And let's look at that in 3D.
