The body forms scar tissue around the bullets,

preventing lead from getting into the blood and the spinal fluid.

never forms and the best course of action is to remove them.

So you remove the bullets and my symptoms just go away?

Within a few days, your lead levels will drop

and your symptoms will gradually improve.

It could take weeks, months, even years

for the encephalopathy to subside, if at all.
