We love the Spanish style of this house.

70 grand plus some wiggle room if anything else comes up.

I'm super excited, too, but I'm also nervous

because I'm pretty emotional about this house.

So everything is gonna be next to each other.

The cabinets are going in at

if they could add more rustic elements to the kitchen

to give it more of a hacienda vibe.

Mike's guys did a great job sanding down the old floors

and tying in the new ones.

But I love that we were able to keep

the imperfections on the floor that Amy is so attached to.

to streamline life a little bit,

so think it's time, we need to start

getting rid of the things we've been holding onto.

all my autoimmune issues

So, obviously I have a high amount of stress

and anxiety right now.

are so sore and then I feel...

Oh, I haven't been sleeping.

I've been waking up at like three.

Yeah, so I can just tell that I'm inflamed and, yeah...

My goal is to help Christina connect mind with body.

What I'm doing now is I'm just kind of

settling you into your body.

We can do supplements all day long.

We can do the right diet. We can do exercise.

One thing I always try to tell you

- is we've got to settle in to you. - I know.

You have to let all the pieces fall and settle into you.

- Trying to escape my body. - Right.

And you disassociate.

And that's when illness gets in.

I want you to let it all fall apart

and I want you to sit in the pain.

Cassie was right.

I try to just bury myself in projects and be busy.

But seeing Doctor Kaisa reminds me

that I really have to take time for myself.

It's time I stopped running from

what's hurting me and face it head-on.

I need to carve out some me time and reset.

The rest of the backsplash tile finally arrived

and Mike was able to get it installed in a day.

The only thing left to do is put together the space

and incorporate all of Amy's mementos.

As you can see, there's some things

we need to incorporate-- some of these are very special

to Amy. - I see some different things

It's a toothpick holder, so you just sort of, you know,

but just accessories made a huge difference.

We just painted the end table and the coffee table black,

- made a huge difference from the turquoise. - Yeah, huge.

I do not miss the turquoise at all right now.

It's amazing what pillows and some throw rugs can do.

And I just would never have thought to put that

chair over there and angle the couch this way.

I'm blown away. And to angle the table.

We are so excited for the function of this space.

I really love what they did with our existing furniture

that I really didn't think had a prayer of still living here

after this renovation.

- And you haven't even seen the kitchen yet. - Oh my gosh.

It's honestly sort of hard to remember

when you walk in here.

So everything was broken pretty much.

You guys had to go through

the garage to use the refrigerator.

Yeah, besides the microwave,

I don't think one appliance worked.

No, I remember. Not one.

You were concerned about the patriotic look.

I am not concerned at all.

There are so many different layers.

With the black, the wood, and the white.

This is actually my favorite part.

None of this is cookie-cutter.

I like that we added the reclaimed wood.

I like that you kept the original floors.

So it's very unique.

It's a surreal thing right now walking through it,

because when I walked in through the kitchen

for the last 17 years, it looked a certain way.

And I doesn't look that way anymore.

Amy, what do you think that your mom

would think of the desk, and honestly, the whole space?

Oh my goodness.

She would have loved it.

She would have... And I do just feel...

There had been a couple of times that

I've come out here during the construction late at night

and just, I can feel her here with me.

And right now, oh, my goodness.

She would just be so happy for us.

I think my mom knew what this house could be

and I just know that she is smiling from up above.

I feel like this was part of the healing process
