Original subtitles

This road you see behind me is the old GT road and it was made of stone by Sher Shah Suri

and

Surprisingly, it is made of stones and looks much stronger than the existing GT Road

This ancient road is made of very hard stones

Often when I travel to Taxila or come back from Peshawar to Islamabad, this big minar is seen in the middle built on a platform.

I have been asking a lot of people about this minaret but no one has any specific information

And today I decided to go up and see this tower

But this information must be found, there is a small piece of GT road built by Sher Shah Suri under it

made by stone

This lofty minaret is about one hundred and twenty feet high in a very clean place

The width of the tower is about 40 feet from the base

A look into the history reveals that this minaret was built in memory of John Nicholson

The question arises as to who this John Nicholson was?

So let me tell you

he was born in 1822 at Dublin Ireland

And died at the age of 34 in 1857

after matric he came to Indian sub continent

He joined the East India Company

Played a very important role in the First Anglo-Indian War and the First and Second Anglo-Sikh Wars

he was more than loyal to the government

In his 34 years of life, he protected the crown of Great Britain

The history of jhon Nicholson has nothing to do with Pakistan

He died during the attack on Delhi in 1857.

For this reason, the British built this monument in his memory at this place

In 1848 and 1849, there used to be a Sikh military check post at this place

At that time, Jon Nicholson entered this military post and killed Sikhs

This is a gentleman sleeping behind me, he has nothing to do with this monument

I think he is resting here

And also take special care of such places
