We Are Going Toward Kunala Stupa
The Plus Minus Is
We Are Going Toward Kunala Stupa and the way is pass through Sirkup City
Until 1990 or 1996, people believed that coming here would restore eyesight
and this belief was only believed by Muslims as well as people of other
religions.
This is a tree in front of me. It is a very scary tree
At present, we are walking from the main boulevard inside Sarkup City
towards Kanala Stupa, there are various temples and stupas on the road to our right and left.
i have already made a comprehensive vlog on sirkup city, if you wish you can watch on my Channel
The long-running Main Boulevard has turned into a dirt trail
We met a gentleman in the middle, We asked him that he said Kanala Stupa?
he pointed his finger, said Up There
now the boundary has come that means this is end of sirkup city and i think
kunala stupa is near, up on to the top of mountain
quite far away from main entrance of ancient sirkup city Taxila
this is old sirkup city and quite big is this
And what is in front of us was the palace of the disciples of Jesus (peace be upon him).
Mr. Gilani is asking how people would have reached here in this era?
So I said to them that surely there will not be a high-speed vehicle in the era,
mules, horses or donkeys must be used.
They had gone down the wrong path before
We entered someone's field by mistake and from there we walked through all the fields
that side the way was not good it was dangerous there
now we saw the wall and we will try to go up side
this place is very height location
and
we don't remember the exact way
yes we saw the way to reach up from here
we were on a wrong track
mr gilani actually we were wrong, hahaha
we are almost here,
we have reached, There are many stairs here
and that is ancient sirkup city taxila
and this is kunala stupa let us discover the hidden stupa
My suggestion here is to keep visiting such places as this information increases
In normal circumstances we move around, so these are the closest places, so we should keep coming here
this hidden stupa is 39 km away from rawalpindi, located in Taxila Valley Called Kunala Stupa
And finally we have reached this place after much struggle
this is top height located in taxila
Apart from this, there are many mountains here which may not be discovered yet
there is sirkup city down there and you can reach from there to here quite easy
Well, this is a place where Buddhist people used to come until 1996 and local people also used to
come here and they believed that coming here would bring back the sight of the eyes.
Such was their belief and tradition
any ways let us check the are let us dicover
well, that wall what you are looking
is the boundry of this Ancient Kunala Stupa Site
sorry i was wrong this is monastery
we have spend a lot of time here to search the are
As you come from the bottom to the top there is a stupa right in front and
then on the side of this broken stupa where I am standing is the area of the monster.
and look at the wall this is lime stone and opposite site there is a rock a lime stone rock, they made this wall using that rocks
and inside is monastery
this is quite big are look like a complex
and the hall is sounded by rooms and in the middle there is a pond
It seems that the place has suffered a lot of decay in the past. Here also the city had a small stupa which was broken.
try to learn something new let see
in the language of prikrit, kunal is the name of a beautiful bird which has beautiful eyes
Ashoka who is the founder of modern Buddhism he is his father, kept his name kunal
but unfortunately kunal was blind by birth
That's why this stupa was also named as Kanala Stupa
A considerable number of people of lesser faith, including Muslims, were included
They started coming to stupa in the hope that their eyesight might be restored.
Apart from Buddhists, there were also a large number of Muslims among them.
This site is very healthy but the Archaeological Department is not working here
I think the development here is only limited to the stairs, because apart from the stairs,
there is nothing special that the department has built.
Now this one in front is a stupa and there are bushes all around, I don't understand where it starts and where it ends.
but anyways this is natural and actual not duplicate and not a replica
it is look a like ban faqeran stupa which is located in shah allah ditta village islamabad
again this is stupa and that is monastery
the stupa has a lot of steps unfortunately a lot of plants here there for that is not visible
and this is garbage
i request the people that when they come bring back the garbage it is not a hard job they can put all things in one plastic bag
this is tourist spot a very beautiful site and healthy rich ancient area opposite side is ancient sirkap city
final words
this is kunala stupa
located in taxila pakistan a rich history site the people are interest they must come to see the area
that is stupa and this is monasteries
As for this place
It was Ashoka who was the founder of modern Buddhism
He sent his son here
And this stupa was named after him
Our purpose in coming here was to discover this new place
very good place very good weather and this is surrounded by lime stone rock
and this is middle of all these thing
our aim is that to know the history of this ancient site
Because people come to Sarkup but they don't come up here, it is also a very
nice place and a very beautiful place. The weather is beautiful today. we will upload more details about this area
keep watching than you
