[Eva] "Treetop Treats."

Eva, time for breakfast!

[singsong] I'm here.

[normal] I was just practicing a new silly face for Baby Mo.

[babbles]

[chuckles]

- [chuckles] - [chuckles]

I thought you'd like that one.

Here you go, Eva. Pine Cone Crunch.

Thanks, Dad.

[laughing]

- [babbles] - [gasps] Oh.

I gotta feed Baxter his breakfast.

It's your favorite. Pet Chow.

[babbles]

[exclaims, gulps]

Ooh! Guess what's happening later tonight.

What, Mom?

The Treetop Treat Contest.

- Wow. Really? - So cool.

"Owls from all over town will make treats,

and whoever makes the tastiest treat gets a prize."

[all] The Golden Apron.

Diary, I'm so excited for the Treetop Treat Contest.

I can't wait to see all the super scrumptious treats

everyone will make.

I wonder who's gonna win the Golden Apron.

Mom, can I have that photo?

Oh, of course. Glad you like it.

I took it for the Treetopington Times.

It's so shimmery and goldeny.

Oh, my. Look at the time.

Eva, Humphrey, you two had better get to school.

- Race you there, Humphrey. - You're on.

- See you later. - See you soon.

[both chuckle]

- [students chattering] - All right, class.

[singsong] It's art time.

[normal] You can paint whatever you'd like.

- Yes! - Awesome!

- So cool. - All right.

I'm painting the big oak tree

because I'm going there later for the Treetop Treat Contest.

[students cheer]

Now, let's get this art party started.

[students] Yes!

What are you painting, Lucy?

I'm painting you and Jacob with cool new feather styles.

- [giggles] - I'm painting a pineapple.

You are?

From the inside.

[students] Oh.

Hello, friends. Do you have any purple paint?

I need some for my fabulous field of petunias.

- [Eva] Whoa. - [Jacob] Awesome.

Here you go, Sue.

Thanks.

[Eva sighs]

Sue Clawson is great at everything she does.

Oh, dear. There's a tiny bit of paint on my feathers.

I really need a smock.

I ordered one, but it was the wrong size, so I gave it to Toby.

[chitters]

Wow. That is the wrong size.

- [chuckles] - [chuckles]

I'd better wash up before someone mistakes me for a giant leaf.

- [laughs] - [students laugh]

[Eva] Diary, I just got a big idea.

Maybe the biggest idea ever.

If I can win the golden apron for Ms. Featherbottom,

then she can use it as an art smock.

I'm going to enter the Treetop Treat Contest

and win the Golden Apron.

[both] The Golden Apron.

You're entering the contest? So am I.

You know it's later tonight, right?

Yes.

So, you know you'll have to work super fast, right?

Yes.

And you know you'll have to make the tastiest treat in the treetops, right?

Yes.

Great. See you there.

[Eva] Terrible news.

Sue's entering the contest.

Her treat will probably be even better than her art.

I decided to add sunflowers too.

[giggling]

[Eva] There's only one thing to do--

beat Sue in the contest.

I've gotta make a super-duper special treat.

And you've probably gotta invite your best friend over to help you.

Will you come over after school to help me?

You read my mind. I'd love to.

[Toby chitters]

Okay, team. For our super-duper special treat,

we're going to make...

Drumroll, please?

Everything-nachos!

- Let's do it! - [yelps]

Wait. How do we do it?

Simple. On the bottom, tortilla chips.

On the top, everything.

To the pantry.

[Eva, Lucy chuckle]

[Eva] Just move this nacho here.

Okay. Presenting everything-nachos.

They look a little, uh, gloopy.

Hey, nachos.

[chews, swallows]

Ew.

[gasps]

Whoa.

Hmm.

It tastes like... everything.

I don't think we can enter this in the contest.

Humphrey, you want 'em?

Uh, [stammers] sure.

[chews] Ew.

[gasps] Whoa.

We've gotta think of a new treat. Fast.

Let's each say our favorite food on the count of three.

One, two--

Carrots.

- [chuckles] - Oops. I got excited.

Nothing wrong with that. Mine's acorns.

[gasps] We could make acorn carrot muffins.

Yes. That will beat Sue's treat for sure.

- [both] Muffins. Muffins. - [ticking]

- Muffins. - [bell dings]

- Muffins! - Muffins!

[sniffs] Mmm. These smell amazing.

[Baby Mo babbling]

Ah. Baby Mo's up from his nap.

I'll get him ready to go to the contest.

With a treat like this, nothing can stop us from winning.

[doorbell rings]

- [Sue] Hi. - Sue.

Could I borrow an ice cream scoop?

Oh. [chuckles] Sure.

Thanks. I need it for my treat.

Homemade pecan butter ice cream.

That sounds delicious.

Oh, and did I mention it's stacked three scoops high?

Three?

You know the contest is starting soon, right?

Uh-huh.

Great. See you there.

Diary... [sighs]

I knew Sue's treat would be great,

but I didn't know it would be the most flaptastic thing ever.

[sighs]

What if Sue beats us in the contest? She'll get the Golden Apron.

Hmm.

We've gotta make sure our muffins are super-duper special enough

for us to win.

Ooh. We could cover them with colorful sprinkles

or make each one a tiny muffin bow tie.

[gasps] Lucy. That's it.

Muffin bow ties might take a while.

[chuckles] No, I meant the sprinkles.

- Oh. Great. - [babbling]

Thanks, Baxter.

[babbles]

Now that's a winning treat.

Last call for entries for the Treetop Treat Contest.

[Eva] Wait for us!

Wait for me too!

[all gasp, shriek] Oh, no!

- [crowd gasps] - Oh!

Your ice cream got all over our muffins.

Well, your muffins got all under my ice cream.

Now I'll never win the prize for Ms. Featherbottom.

[stammers] What? I wanted to win the prize for Ms. Featherbottom.

No, I wanted to win the prize for Ms. Featherbottom.

No, I wanted to win the prize for--

You both wanted to win the prize for Ms. Featherbottom.

So even if you had won,

Ms. Featherbottom still would have gotten the Golden Apron?

Well, it doesn't matter anymore. [sighs] Our treats are ruined.

Ahem. This is really the last call for entries.

[chewing] Oh. [chuckles]

What if we tried to win the apron for Ms. Featherbottom together?

- Yeah. - Let's do it.

Presenting acorn carrot muffins...

Topped with pecan butter ice cream...

And sprinkles.

[judge] Oh, my.

Mmm.

Mm-hmm. [chuckles, clicks tongue]

Well, I declare this--

Wait. One more bite. Hmm.

I can't take it anymore.

Mmm. Oh.

The tastiest treat in the treetops! [chuckles]

- [Eva] Yay! - [Sue] Yes!

- Whoo-hoo! - Oh, yeah!

- We did it! - [laughing]

Here's your prize.

[all] The Golden Apron.

I'm sorry. I-I don't have three of them.

Actually, we only need one.

Ms. Featherbottom, this is for you.

For me? How thoughtful.

You can use it as an art smock.

You're right. And I can use it for cooking, of course.

And gardening.

And if you put it on backwards, you can pretend you're a superhero.

- [laughing] - [chuckles] That too.

Oh. I have the best students in the world.

And I have the best job in the world

because I get to say, "Everybody eat!"

- Whoo-hoo! - [all cheering, laughing]

Diary, guess who won the contest.

Me and Lucy and...

Drumroll, please?

Sue!

I was so focused on beating her,

I forgot why I entered in the first place...

[chuckling]

To win the apron for Ms. Featherbottom.

But we did it together, all thanks to our super tasty treat.

Wait a second. I haven't even tried it yet.

Save some for me!

Thanks.

Mmm. So good.

Everybody smile.

[exclaims]

[all laughing]

[Eva] "Eva the Ghost Catcher."

[chattering, cheering]

[laughing]

The flaptastic fun nest is almost ready.

Lucy, how's the game corner?

We've got all our favorites right here,

walnut checkers, flower petal bingo,

I even brought my pick-up twigs.

Love those twigs.

Jacob, how are the seed chairs?

I'm about to test them.

Three, two, one!

- [sighs] - [Eva, Lucy laughs]

So comfy.

Baxter, how do you like your hangout branch?

[exclaims]

[laughing]

This is going to be the most fun nest in the history of fun nests!

Guess what, everybody?

Oh, I'm so excited I'm just going to tell you.

- New neighbors moved in next door. - So cool!

- That's great! - Awesome!

I made them a welcome present.

A map of Treetopington with some of our favorite places.

Here's the new neighbors' house.

Over here is the birdbath, the Seeds-on-a-stick stand,

the world's largest pine cone

and, of course, your flaptastic fun nest.

- Whoo-hoo! - Yay!

Ooh! I'm going to take the map over to their house right now.

- Bye, Mom! - See you later, Mrs. Wingdale!

We're almost ready to open the fun nest,

but it's missing one thing.

A flag.

- Of course. - Oh, yeah.

A flag!

When the owls of Treetopington wonder, "Where can I have fun?"

They'll see our flag flapping gloriously in the wind

and know just where to go.

- Let's go make one. - [grunts]

All done.

I think this flag is ready to flap.

Great. Let's open up the fun nest.

- Oh, yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

[hooting]

Wait! Something's up there.

[hooting]

It's a ghost!

[all screaming]

[screaming continues]

[screaming continues]

Wait. What are we running from again?

The ghost.

[all scream]

We can't open the flaptastic fun nest now.

The ghost will scare everyone away.

Maybe we can move the nest to a different tree?

But that sounds really heavy.

- [hooting] - [screams]

Diary, there's a ghost haunting our fun nest...

- [shudders] - ...and I've gotta do something about it.

- [gasps] - [yelps]

What if we caught it?

Friends, there's definitely a ghost out there.

And there's only one thing to do about it,

become ghost catchers.

- Yes! - All right.

This will be our greatest adventure ever!

Let's catch that ghost.

All we have to do is wait for the ghost to come back to our fun nest,

and then we'll catch it.

- Hi. - [all scream]

[grunting]

Oh, Humphrey, it's you. Have you seen a ghost around here?

A ghost?

It's haunting our fun nest.

I haven't seen it, but I've been out at the birdbath getting my swim on.

Check out these pictures of me and my new shades.

- [Jacob] Awesome. - [Eva] Wow.

[Lucy gasps] Hey, look. Is that...

[gasps] The ghost.

Huh?

I'm never going to the birdbath again! [screams]

Hmm?

I didn't know ghosts like swimming.

Wait. Are we sure it's a ghost?

Positive. And it isn't just haunting our nest.

Now it's haunting all of Treetopington.

It's gonna scare the whole town.

Not if we get out there and catch it.

To the birdbath!

- [whistle blows] - [laughing, whooping]

I don't see the ghost anywhere.

I don't know if it was a ghost, but whatever it was

made a spooky noise.

- Maybe we can hear it? - [whistle blows]

[Ms. Featherbottom] Come on, owls! Stretch those wings!

Is that Ms. Featherbottom?

[Ms. Featherbottom] Move to the left! Move to the right!

Give us a spin.

- Oh, get it, Jerry! - [laughs]

- Work it, owls. Oh, hi, owlets. - [yelps]

You teach a water exercise class?

- [owls grunting] - [chuckles] You know me, I love to teach.

All right now, kick those talons!

Flap those wings! Yeah, you got it!

I can't hear the ghost over all this splashing!

Hmm. I've got an idea.

Do you mind if I take over?

Sure. Give them all you've got.

Okay, everybody.

This one's called the flap and freeze.

First, flap!

Now, freeze!

[distant hooting]

Hey, that's it! The ghost.

- Ghost? [screams] Oh, no! - [screaming]

Oh, no. Ms. Featherbottom's class is ruined.

First, the ghost haunts our fun nest, and now this.

We've got to catch it.

[hooting]

It's going to the Seeds-on-a-stick stand. Come on.

Get your Seeds-on-a-stick here! Best seeds in town.

Pretty good sticks too.

Why would a ghost want a Seeds-on-a-stick?

What if it's not a ghost?

- It's gotta be. - [hooting]

[Eva gasps] Look, that's it! That's the ghost!

- [grunts] Ghost? - [customer] Not again!

- Sorry, we're closed. - [gasps] I'm outta here.

[gasps] The snack stand is closed.

What is everyone gonna eat between lunch and dinner now?

- [hooting] - Look,

it's heading straight for the world's largest pine cone. Come on.

[tourist 1] Now, that is a big pine cone. [chuckles]

[hooting]

We've got you now, ghost.

Huh?

[Jacob exclaims]

[both scream]

I told you we should've gone to the world's smallest pine cone.

[tourist 1] Harvey, next time you can make the plans.

- [exclaims, gasps] - [yelps]

- Mmm. I don't know where it went. - [babbles]

Aw. We were so close.

If we can't catch this ghost, how are we going to save Treetopington?

And how are we going to open our fun nest?

I just don't know why a ghost would go to the world's largest pine cone.

- I really don't think it's a ghost. - [gasps]

But there's no other explanation.

Diary, Jacob doesn't seem so sure it's a ghost, but I know I'm right.

Where would it go next?

Think, Eva. Think like a ghost.

It already went to the fun nest, the birdbath,

the Seeds-on-a-stick stand,

the world's largest pine cone.

- Hey, Eva? - Hold on.

I'm busy thinking like a ghost. See?

[Jacob] That looks just like the map your mom made for the new neighbors.

[gasps] You're right.

So, maybe that means we're not chasing a--

It means the ghost is going to all the places on the map.

Uh...

And there's only one place left. The new neighbors' house.

[distant hooting]

[Eva] It's already inside the house!

Then why aren't the new neighbors flying away screaming?

- [hooting] - [all scream]

[door opens]

[all gasp]

[shudders]

Hello? Anyone here?

I thought I heard something.

Uh... Hi, I'm Kiera. I just moved here with my family.

I'm Eva. This is Lucy, Jacob and Baxter.

And we have some bad news.

There's a ghost in your house!

Ghost? Where?

[Kiera hooting]

Hey, that sounds just like the ghost.

[hooting]

And it looks just like the ghost.

[all gasp]

Oh, my feathers, Jacob.

- You were right. There is no ghost. - [exhales]

It was our new neighbor, Kiera, the whole time.

- Kiera, come back! - [hoots]

Did you find the ghost?

We're sorry. We made a mistake.

You flew so fast, we thought you were the ghost.

No. [laughs]

I was exploring all the fun places on this map.

- [Jacob] Oh, I see. - [Eva] Oh, I get it.

Jacob, I'm sorry I didn't listen to you.

That's okay. I'm just glad there isn't a ghost haunting the town.

[gasps] We've got to tell the town.

- Baxter. - [yelps]

[babbles]

Attention, Treetopington. I am sorry for scaring you.

There is no ghost.

I repeat, there is no ghost.

[townspeople cheering]

All right, there's only one thing left to do now.

- Open the flaptastic fun nest. - [laughs]

- Oh, yeah. - [exclaims]

Kiera, do you want to come with us?

Totally! I already know the way. [yelps]

Wow, she's fast.

- [Kiera hooting] - [owlets laughing]

[Kiera speaking indistinctly]

Diary, get ready for this, Jacob was right!

There was no ghost.

I was so sure there was a ghost that I didn't stop to listen to him.

Turned out, it was something a bajillion times better.

- A new friend. - [chuckles]

[chuckles]

Kiera even taught me a new way to hoot.

[hooting]

Eva, we're ready to plant the flag.

Let's do this.

- Whoo! - Yeah, all right.

- Let's do it. - Yay!

The flaptastic fun nest is officially open!

- Hooray! - [exclaiming]

[Eva] Yes! [laughs]

- Me, me, me! - This is so much fun!

- Whoo-hoo! - [laughing]
