The Russian army dug a trench 70 km long in the occupied Zaporozhye

region. The trench was spotted on Sentinel-2 satellite images.

Analysis of satellite data indicates that the construction of this defense line began

in early September 2022, and the trench was dug from two directions at once. In Russia

it has already been called a "mega-trench" or a "Tsar trench", they like loud names.

Obviously, this is not an infantry defensive position.

Probably an anti-tank trench. As we can see - not wide. Without the accompanying fortifications,

infantry positions, mine barriers and the like, it makes no sense.

But my attention was attracted by another picture - from the Crimea. This machine gun pillbox. They

are preparing for a large number of Ukrainian "vacationers" and are actively strengthened.

It follows from the image that they understand in the structure of defense lines, like a pig in

oranges, approximately. Such a dot should be dug into the ground literally up to the embrasures.

Soil should be piled on top, and it is desirable to heap stones on it.

Otherwise the first missile launcher will blow it to dust from a range of one or two kilometers. Or

the explosion of a heavy high-explosive shell will tip it sideways with all its contents.

Well, there are other means - the same Matadors, modified against buildings and fortifications.

What conclusion do we draw from all this? Correct: there is an active development of budgets,

in the sense that they steal as always, the sustainability of future defense is secondary.

Well, it was written in the martial arts textbooks long ago, by the way, that static defenses will

ALWAYS be breached, but that's in the textbooks. It doesn't say anything about "mastering budgets".
