Once upon a time in a small village,
there lived a 15 year old boy named Ahmed.
Every year during Ramadan, his family gathered
together to break their fast with a big feast.
One evening, as the sun was setting, Ahmed's mother called out.
Ahmed, please help me set the table for Iftar.
Okay, Mama?
Ahmed replied cheerfully, placing the plates and glasses with care.
Ahmed's grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins
all sat around the table, eager to enjoy the delicious meal.
Suddenly, Ahmed's little sister Noor exclaimed, Oh, we almost forgot.
The Dates good catch.
Ahmed smiled quickly, grabbing a plate of dates and sharing them with everyone.
They all took a bite following their beloved family tradition
as they enjoyed the meal.
The family laughed and shared stories.
Ahmed's grandfather told tales of past Ramadan
and the importance of their customs as the night went on.
The room was filled with warmth and love despite their hunger.
The family felt grateful for the precious moments spent together.
In the end, Ahmed realized
that Ramadan wasn't just about fasting.
It was about cherishing the bonds of family and the beauty of their traditions.
And so every year,
Ahmed and his family continued to gather for Iftar,
keeping their family traditions alive and passing them on to future generations.
