She was drinking before everyone else in the grade

By this time, we were barely hanging out anymore,

Riley just... really fell off the map.

She was partying really hard,

Maybe she just didn't know what else to do.

Near the end of the first semester, she called me...

I didn't pick up.

She left a voicemail, crying,

saying that she was pregnant

and that her parents had thrown her out.

A month later...

...Riley died in a car accident with her boyfriend.

And they couldn't save the baby.
