but all the government sees
is a scapegoat

for their bad policies

so they've somehow
convinced themselves

that we changed things
for the worse,

and they sent a marine

on one last mission
to the past.

- They want to undo everything

that we did here
at Quantum Leap

by killing the person
who leaped in 2022.

In the original timeline,
Addison leaped.

Now, when I went back
to warn you,

you leaped instead.

After I warned you
and I leaped back here,

they destroyed
our quantum accelerator.

Well, I figured out a way
to beat them at their own game.
