Back in 2019, I auditioned.

And it was just such a humbling, surreal experience.

As a singer, I learned a lot of new techniques,

and I made it through the top 13.

After the show, Kelly Clarkson asked me to sing a duet

with her in Las Vegas.

It was such a dope,

once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

until we formed this group.

They were actually there with me for my audition.

We all went to the University of Southern California.

We were in a singing group together.

A couple of our videos have went viral.

And then we got, like, really serious about it.

I just love singing with these people.

We have set up some kind of success in our own little ways,

but help from someone like Kelly,

Chance the Rapper, or Niall,

that's gonna elevate us to another level.

And he's cute, too.

I don't think anyone has ever been back here

that's been on the show before.

So to be the first person to be back with my best friends,

I'm just so excited to share this experience again with them.

Well, I gotta be honest.

I know Chance went first.

We were all trying to figure out

how many parts are in this?

We were trying to figure out, is it like four-part harmony?

Three part? We couldn't figure it out.

I was like, "Chance, point at your hat if it's a three-part."

They were all asking me if there's three people,

and I was like, "I don't know how many people."

But the reason I turned is 'cause it made me feel.

When you hear part harmonies done to that standard

and it makes you feel deep down there

in a massive hit song like that,

I would like it if you would come with me.

I didn't expect it to be three of you guys.

Yeah, I didn't know what was going on.

I had no idea until I turned around

that it was the three of you guys on stage.

I can tell you guys have done this together for a while

As an overall presentation, it was just insane.

I was never in a band,

but obviously I know a lot about threes.

I've also produced music for a few different groups,

and I think I could see exactly where you guys could go

with your style, with your aesthetic,

and with the three of you guys as a group.

To be here at "The Voice," it feels surreal.

I remember watching Kelly Clarkson.

I always thought she was beautiful.

She was one of my first childhood crushes.

And I remember being like,

"I'm gonna marry Kelly Clarkson one day."

I moved on from Kelly.

While I was in college, I was able to travel to Europe.

And it was that fortune moment that I was able to meet my wife.

It was love at first sight.

And six months later, I asked her to marry me.

My wife is from Germany.

And so when we got married, she uprooted her entire life.

And she moved here because I wanted to do music.

Just planting our new garden over here.

She's just been the greatest source of joy in my life.

And I just love her with all my heart.

I'm very blessed of having him in our house,

singing and hearing his voice all the time.

Sometimes I can't believe that, like, I'm married to him

because his voice is just so beautiful

and I'm so glad that he can do what he can do here.

I do music full-time now.

I really had to learn the art of the hustle.

You know, there were a lot of nights

where I wanted to give up.

Me and my wife have worked really hard for this moment.

But I'm eternally grateful for her

and for her sacrifice.

For a chair to turn for me,

it would just be an instant sign

that all this hard work had paid off.

So stepping off the plane was a little crazy.

My name is Alex Graham.

I'm from Belmont, North Carolina,

but I've lived in Nashville, Tennessee,

for a little over a year now.

I've been singing about six years.

Around 18, I graduated high school

and there was a local restaurant looking for singing servers,

and it was owned by the Jonas Brothers' parents.

The dad of the Jonas Brothers was like,

"I think you have potential. We're gonna hire you."

So you would go in, open the shift,

you were grabbing bread for the people, getting drinks,

cleaning the tables, singing, sweeping,

grabbing the highchairs for the kid.

Pretty much you had to do everything plus sing.

While I was still working at the restaurant,

I would play gigs, just me and my guitar.

And I did that for a couple years.

And I was just like,

"I want to move to Nashville to pursue this full-time."

And now I'm gigging four or five days a week,

and I think it's really prepped me for this moment.

Ladies and gentlemen, our next artist is entering now.

I definitely think getting chair turns would give me

the validation that I need to stay in Nashville

and pursue the artist thing full-time.

"The Voice" would give me the platform that I need

to continue to do this for the rest of my life.

I was a very adventurous child until I got to middle school

when I was in choir.

My first choral teacher opened up my eyes.

Being onstage in front of people singing, like, I love it.

Once he began to sing with the chorus,

that's when I feel like he found his voice.

He is gonna go far, and I'm gonna be there

to support him every step of the way.

After high school, I auditioned

for Northern State University's concert choir,

and I got a scholarship on the spot.

After I was done with college,

I auditioned for Pharrell Williams' gospel choir.

And then after that, a lot of doors opened up.

The more I started to perform, it just clicked.

I actually never had a solo when I was in choir.

And that's something that in the back of my head

always ate at me.

So when I was growing up, music was all around me.

So at a young age, she would,

In college, I was a part of a competitive a cappella group

called Gestalt.

Now I'm working at a public relations agency,

specifically with music clients.

This is what my workday looks like a lot of the time.

It's been really difficult to carve out time for music.

The last time I performed was back

when I was in my a cappella group,

and that's a little bit scary.

But having this opportunity feels amazing.

I would feel honored to work with any of the coaches,

but Kelly Clarkson is a dream.
