These refugees have been walking all night.

it's not safe here, there's air raid sirens where I am.

There's bombs in Kip Kiev. Bombs in Kyiv.

Decisions no mom or dad or charge have to make.

[Man 2] The question they all have is

how long before it ends in Ukraine

and they can go back home.

[Man 3] They were packed into a car with 250 people,

and they were seriously concerned that

the train would be bombed.

[Man 4] Meanwhile, Russian forces are moving closer

to major cities from the north, east and south.

[Woman] Ukrainian officials accuse Russia of intentionally

attacking civilians.

[Woman 2] Meanwhile, there is global outrage

after a Russian airstrike hit a maternity hospital

in Mariupol.

the burden of memory of what they left behind.

You see it on their faces.

[Man 3] Poland's there on the front line

of this refugee crisis.

[Woman] Around 15,000 of those refugees

have joined educational institutions there.

[Man] The only way, of course, it stops,

we start to get that normalcy to the kids,

is for the conflict to stop.
