My Grandfather was the earliest person to open a Western wine merchant shop in the country.

He was a staff of the Songdang Hotel; he had always waited on famous guests,

but 1st & foremost carve in his memory will be Empress Myeongseong.

It is said to be a special memory.

This is Empress Myeongseong with my grandfather was working for Songdang hotel.

This was her collection of wines store at the hotel.

Each bottle is only serves to special dignitary guest only

She will personally see to it how to the wine is being served.

That night there was a dinner gala, so she had specially request for Ch�teau Margaute, so asked my grandfather to prepare it,

however, the empress, didn�t attended that dinner gala.

These bottles of wine was never able to serve to Empress Myeongseong;

it was my Grandfather�s greatest regret of his life.

Although it is can�t be made in the same comparison as with the Empress,

my Grandfather�s wish was able to uncork these bottles.

However the years whether it have enough rain fall, is anyone's guess.

Empress Myeongseong�s Ch�teau Margaute is the vintage of 1882, that year the rainfall was sufficient.

What you are drinking now, is the vintage year of 2004, the comparison would be similar.

How is it?

Cabernet Sauvignon is 75%; Cabernet Blanc is 2-3%; Merlot is 20%,

also remnants is 2-3%, also the aroma is of plums berry, raspberry, toasted mulberry.
