Let's...

never meet again.

Never again.

Jian!

I'm sorry.

What did I do?

Secretary Yu.

Yes?

How long have we known each other?

Five years.

You must be too drunk.

It must be due to alcohol.

It should be.

I had just two glasses of beer.

Crazy. I must be crazy.

Why did I do that?

Jian, do you love him?

I mistook your feeling just because you stared at him so much.

I get it though. How could you think about love?

Why were you staring at him?

No way.

Are you crazy, Jian?

It's nonsense.

Why did I do that?

Seriously. Why?

I hope he helps...

my parents...

to be exempted from going to prison.

I want Mother and Father...

No, I mean...

I hope that he can stop

President Noh and Vice Chairman.

About what I did well today.

Will you tell your mother...

and father for me?

I will.

Then promise...

you'll tell them

what I did to get

the indigo fabric from the office.

Tell President Noh and Vice Chairman Choi for me.

I will

I promise you.

Jian, you are here early today.

Jian, you are here early today.

Why... Why are you here?

Did you forget I'm staying at the night duty room?

Yeah, I know it.

But why didn't you go to the venue?

Did you get drunk on just two beers?

We agreed that our teammates will take turns to be there in the morning

and I'll go in the afternoon.

Right.

We did that.

I'm sorry.

I made a mistake last night.

Oh, I'm sorry too.

I should've to apologized to you first.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake.

Well, we were both drunk.

Then I'll see you later at the meeting.

Wait.

You hurt you knee.

Thank you.

Did you call me, sir?

Are they filming the promotion clip according to the cue sheet?

Yes, sir.

The 40th anniversary event of the Haesung Apparel

takes an important part of the clip, doesn't it?

Well,

-as you have ordered-- -I think the focus has been set off.

After the event, we should do our best to promote the new winter season items.

How is it going on?

Well, Jian suggested the marketing concept for it at the last seminar,

so she can be in charge of that.

Since I'm in charge of the anniversary event,

I'd like someone else to lead the project.

But the competent one should take charge of that.

It's too big for a new employee to take it.

We will discuss it further.

But didn't Hajung come to work yet?

She's late without notice.

I am going to quit.

I'll call her.

Sir, could you take a look at it?

This is the Customer's Photo Board. Look at this photo.

Someone is stealing the fabric in this photo.

-Let's see. -Right here.

Isn't this

Hajung Yoon?

Is this person Hajung?

What?

Hajung.

Are you not coming to work because of what I said?

Why wouldn't I go to work?

I'm in front of the office.

I'll hand in my resignation letter.

Are you really going to quit?

Ms. Hajung Yoon!

Don't yell at me, General Manager.

I'm not your subordinate now.

Here's my resignation letter.

Who said you can turn in your resignation?

I didn't see you here.

Hajung, how could you do that?

Take a look at this.

Gosh, I didn't. It's not me.

Why would that be me? You can't even see the face.

The same pants and shoes you wore.

Are you the one who almost ruined

the main fashion show by stealing the master's fabric, Ms. Yoon?

Yes.

It was me.

I wanted to ruin it all because I hated Jian.

How can you rehire someone I kicked out?

Besides, as soon as she got back, she's been in charge of all big things.

I felt uncomfortable.

-I can't do my job well because of Jian. -Ms. Yoon!

You can't say those things.

When you sent the wrong messages, you got off just with a written apology.

You mean the 130 million won?

I'll pay it back.

I will also pay for the fabric.

You'll pay for the fabric? That was obstruction of business.

-File for the damage, and I'll pay for it. -What about the theft?

Sorry?

What you did is theft and obstruction of business.

There's no doubt that you're fired.

You will pay for the theft

at the police station, Ms. Yoon.

At the station?

We're from the security team.

Take her to the station for theft and obstruction of business.

-The legal team will accompany you. -Let's go.

No! Please, sir.

Please forgive me. I'm really sorry.

Dad... Call my Dad, Gyeongmin!

Hajung!

What's up with these two?

Come to think of it, Hajung's outfit is the same as yesterday.

Gyeongmin was supposed to...

drop her off her house.

All right.

Back to the meeting.

Sir.

There's an email from the promotion team.

It says they will take out

the closing ceremony from the clip...

Why did they change the cue sheet?

They said

it's because the sketch video of the event was more natural.

I bought a wooden chair for 100 thousand won.

It's handmade one, so it is certainly good.

Factory products cost more than 130 thousand won.

I felt bad it was cheap.

Only 100 thousand for a handmade wooden chair is cheap,

I hope you buy one more for your husband.

I've thought of that,

but you should buy the second one for the price the designer wants.

I think the owner of the cafe wants to foster amateur designers.

The nickname, "Bread Pitt"?

I saw his comments on other blogs.

Maybe he is your fan.

Did he get a chair from here?

Hello.

Hello.

Jisu, I made a big mistake.

I forgot to give you the money for the bread.

Please, tell your boss I'm really sorry for that.

My boss didn't even ask for that.

Will you keep letting your hair down?

You look much prettier.

Oh, my hair?

My boyfriend told me to do like this.

Oh, you have a boyfriend now?

Yeah.

So, I'm leaving now. Goodbye.

Don't you think she lied on purpose?

At first, I thought she was a mindless stalker.

but she is cute in her own way.

Here...

She left this under the counter and forgot.

She said she's sorry.

Oh, she doesn't need to apologize.

People forget things.

I have more customers because of your delicious bread.

Thank you.

From now on, I'll order two loafs of Castella bread.

What?

Why did she pay the full price?

Didn't you tell her there's ten percent discount for cash?

I told her that.

And

let me say this again.

Are you looking for a part-timer?

Hold on.

Look at this. She wants to order two loafs of Castella bread from now on.

I should put more eggs in it.

PRODUCT SUPPLY CONTRACT

Yeah.

The samples convinced them.

Even I thought the products were good.

Did you get the order sheets and the contract?

Yeah. I got those.

I got half as the down payment.

When the products arrive, they'll send the rest.

So send your bank details.

Just send me when they pay everything.

But I got the down payment!

Taesu, You are still good.

You did this in such a short time.

The margin is small. Don't make a fuss.

But it doesn't mean the next one will be small.

Right.

The next one must be much bigger.

Take your bankbook.

Please don't leave your belongings behind.

SEOKDOO JANG 10,000,000

Ten million won.

It's been such a long time.

It says they will take out the closing ceremony from the clip.

Sir.

Ms. Jian Seo wants to see you.

What are you doing?

An employee asked to see the vice president.

Let her in.

Yes, sir.

What is it?

The closing event is left out in the clip.

So...

I don't need to be there.

I think I can tell your parents sooner.

That's only a few days.

Let's tell them when it's over, as we promised.

It's just too tough.

Your brother already had the wedding, so you're done with your job. Is that it?

That's not it.

Then stick with it until the end.

You can take the credit for it

when you finish it all.

He doesn't have any money. How much did he pay for it?

650 thousand...

STAFF DISCOUNT PRICE

Staff discount price?

He can lay down any girl he wants.

Like a judo player.

I think she is being hunted by the player.

Should I tell Jian?

Can I trust you?

CINDERELLA, I'LL NOT TELL JIAN...

BUT YOU SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR THAT GUY

DAD

Dad.

You are on break time?

Right.

Right. You called me at the right timing.

Yeah. You bought the shoes for Jitae and Sua.

Why does the receipt say "Staff discount price"?

Right. That is...

I asked a friend who works at the mall.

Did you?

Okay, I see.

Dear our valued customers.

The eighth floor of NARA department store--

Hey, Jiho--

NARA department store.

I'll not tell Jian as I promised,

but you should watch out for that guy.

He ruined my first kiss. Who does he think he is?

-Ma'am? -What?

Nothing. It's that guy from the club, and he'll not tell Jian.

Oh, I see.

By the way, where should we go and spend time?

Ma'am, I'll go buy some warm chamomile tea.

-Hurry back. -Okay.

Ms. Seohyeon Choi?

Who are you? I don't remember you.

Are you my old classmate?

No, I'm not your classmate.

I'm the wife of the man who you played with.

What? Wife?

You will get it today. Get up.

Is it fun playing with my husband?

Stop it! You got the wrong person.

Hey,

I'll kill you today!

Come here!

What are you doing? Are you mad?

You should run! Hurry!

Where are you going?

I'll take one more.

Jian.

I heard it's yours.

Oh, right. Thank you.

Have a good day!

Hey.

You didn't answer your cell phone.

I called your office and found you were here.

It is your first event as vice president, so I've come.

Why is that 20-million-won girl here?

It's...

She reentered the company as a regular employee.

Reentered?

She used to be a temporary worker.

I don't care about her past.

If she works here, why did you ask me to hire her?

-It is-- -Because...

it's too risky to date her at work, isn't it?

Watch your mouth. She is nothing like that.

Or are you going to date her secretly

and shock you family when time comes?

Your imagination is too good.

I watched you for about 20 minutes. You couldn't take your eyes off her.

You frowned, became emotional, and smiled.

You were not yourself.

Did I...

do that?

What's your plan?

If you don't tell me I'll take it back the job offer.

It's not true, and I have no intention.

I don't want to deceive your parents.

It's nothing like that. Do you think I am a child?

I'll put her in my uncle's company.

Is it because you can't give her up if she is here?

If I can keep her here,

I would feel more relieved.

What are you talking about?

Someone spilled drinks at the hand printing area.

Are you okay?

-Jian! Are you all right? -Are you okay?

-I'm okay. -I am sorry.

-You okay? -Yes.

SEOHYEON

-What happened? -Jian got burned by an iron.

Got burned by an iron?

Where is she now?

She went to the staff room to get first aid.

Ms. Seo? Jian?

-Where is Ms. Seo now? -She ran outside.

-Outside? -Yes.

Seohyeon.

I'm In front of the building you told me.

Where are you?

Jian, I am here. Behind you.

What happened to you, Seohyeon?

I fought with my friend.

-Where was your driver doing? -I left without him to meet my friend.

When is your lesson?

DOGYEONG

Don't answer it.

POWER OFF

If he finds out, he will kill me.

You have the purse.

You could've gone to a mall and bought clothes.

How can I go to a mall looking like this? What if someone sees me?

Then,

let's go buy some clothes.

Didn't you hear me?

How can I pick clothes looking like this?

Then.

Let's order through this. and then just pick it up. is that okay?

Take your pick.

The number you're calling is not reachable.

Secretary Yu, ask every clinic around here if it has a burn patient.

-Yes, sir. -Let's call on the way.

-Welcome. -Yes.

I've come to pick up what I ordered online.

Okay.

Yes, I'll prepare it right away. Please, wait.

Is it the emergency room?

Is there a female burn patient there?

Have you seen a woman with a burn on her hand?

Her name is Jian Seo.

We don't have any burn patient.

If she didn't come here, where did she go?

Sir, I called every clinic around here, but she is not in any of them.

What about the university hospital?

I called a cab. Let's wait here.

You won't be late for your lesson.

Thank you.

I'm so glad that you are my sister.

You can call Dogyeong.

I can't. If I tell him...

I'll be in trouble.

Seohyeon, you will not.

He will help you if you ask him sincerely.

So, from now on,

you can ask him for help if you need.

You don't know him well.

Since his birth, he's been training as the heir of Haesung Corporation.

He won't do anything that goes against the rules of the family.

I'm sure he's not always like that.

Besides, I can just call you now.

Why would I call him?

I am grateful...

and sorry.

What are you grateful and sorry about?

I only troubled you.

I can't tell you now,

but you'll find out soon.

Where is she?

Gosh.

Why are you outside? Is there any problem?

Why did you turn off your phone?

You're so good at worrying me.

Let me see. How badly are you hurt? Are you okay?

It was a light burn.

What?

I had something to do out there.

What was it?

Well...

-I can't tell you. -You can't tell me?

You made me so worried, and you can't tell me?

Why did you turn off your phone?

Lower your voice, Dogyeong.

Why would I lower?

We are at the event hall.

Hey!

Jian! Why are you...

Why are you grateful and sorry?

Why do I take you here in secret?

I don't know what we are doing.

You can't tell me?

You made me so worried, and you can't tell me?

Why did you turn off your phone?

I watched you for about 20 minutes.

You couldn't take your eyes off her.

You frowned, became emotional, and smiled.

You were not yourself.

Dad.

So, as soon as you were discharged from the army

you got a job instead of studying for the college entrance exam.

I'm sorry I lied, but I had no choice.

You would not approve my plan anyway.

There must be a good reason for that. Is it so bad to tell you to go to college?

Dad.

I told you when I prepared the second try for college and joined the army.

I'll not go to college, and I don't want to.

If you studied well, you wouldn't have said that.

If I studied well, I would've gone to college.

But I am bad at studying.

I neither enjoy or love it. Why do I go to college?

Even people who attended the top universities

and studied abroad can't find a job in these days.

Even if I try my best

I can't go to a decent college.

So why should I go to college? It's a waste of my time and money.

That's why you should study. You need to try harder!

Dad, please!

What gets better after college?

Does college guarantee success?

Or a good life?

You went to college, didn't you? Jian went to college too.

Why would you...

waste money on me like this?

It's better for me to start earning.

Son.

I told you

I won't let you work while studying.

I make money now.

Pay the debts with that.

I'm too old to get your help.

I have the right to choose what to do with life.

Dad. I am...

I'm saving money to start my own business.

I've saved all the money you gave me without spending a penny.

I'll give it to Jitae.

To Jitae?

He is the one...

who's paying off our debt.

I always feel indebted

to Jitae.

So...

you are saying

you'll give up the college

and just make money

because we are poor.

Just make money?

They all go to college to get a well-paid job.

Everybody has college experience.

College experience?

What is wrong with not doing it?

There are so many things to do if I am rich.

If Mom finds out,

she will make a fuss as soon as Jitae get back.

I'll tell her about this.

Dad.

I am really sorry!

But don't have to worry about me! I'm serious!

When other people ignore me and despise me,

it makes me so miserable, poor, and servile.

I can't stand it anymore.

Stop that.

You don't know why I am doing.

I just don't want...

to pass down this poverty to my children.

So I won't get married.

I heard...

You are a day laborer.

What on earth can you do for Jian?

Why would you...

waste money on me like this?

It's better for me to start earning.

I suffered a lot.

I wanted to kill myself everyday. There was nothing I can do.

I can't...

trust you anymore.

What's wrong, Seohyeon.

I got hiccups.

I'm sorry, but I need to go to my room.

What should I do?

Why isn't Ryu calling me?

PHOTOS RECEIVED

-Hello-- -Is it good to kiss someone's husband,

Seohyeon Choi, the youngest daughter of Haesung Corporation?

I didn't kiss.

Why are you sending the photos?

Let's meet and talk about it.

You didn't call or answered me.

She took my phone.

-By the way, it's too early-- -What the crazy woman said isn't true,

is it?

Yes, it's true.

I'm married.

Are you really married?

Why didn't you tell me?

You didn't ask me.

Are you kidding me?

-What should I do? -I told her it was not your fault.

She keeps sending me photos.

I asked for divorce, so she's threatening you.

Divorce? Why did you ask for divorce?

I need to take care of you.

What are you talking about?

We are not meant to be.

It's the additional purchase order.

I made an extra order to have enough in stock.

We'll get a refund for remaining items.

And this is a report on trends in other brands.

What's the rush with the purchase and the report?

Why did you do this in a hurry?

I'm just giving you a report in advance.

And this is

a proposal I've made during the event of Purple Scent.

I thought it would be good to sell scented products

or facial masks in our clothing shop.

Are you a robot or something?

Do you even sleep?

I wish I were a robot.

I'm going to the venue.

Did you get the results yet?

Why is she running so in a hurry?

Why is she hiding there?

-Secretary Yu. -Yes, sir.

Set meetings for today and tomorrow.

Appointments? With whom?

Anything I've put off.

Set the time. Until the day before the end of the event.

Okay, sir.

Mr. Baker told me to give it back to you.

You paid in cash, so you get 10 percent discount.

Goodbye.

Bye.

What?

I'm grateful that you have more customers.

Hee Seonu,

you came to me like the warm sun of a spring day.

I'm happy I can spend the second winter with you.

Merry Christmas! Namgu Kang.

The handwriting is very similar to his.

Hello.

What kind of coffee would I drink today?

You come here very often.

I'm the owner of my business.

My schedule is flexible.

What do you do?

I think you were not like in the past. You've changed.

You ask questions to anyone.

Gosh.

You're not just anyone to me.

So what am I to you?

You're my regular customer.

What coffee do you want?

I'm not a regular customer yet,

but I'll have a cappuccino.

And that.

That Castella sponge cake.

Stamp my card too.

Yes.

Where do you get this bread?

Did they use good flour?

Of course.

I'm sure you wouldn't remember

that I can't digest flour.

But this bread never gave me indigestion.

You don't have to worry.

I just asked if they use good flour.

This bread is really delicious!

Isn't it?

As for a supplier of bread, you chose well.

As for a supplier of bread?

Is he trying to get revenge?

Why is he so mean?

Oh, this coffee is so tasty!

It can't be the same guy.

THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT OF HAESUNG APPAREL

My stomach hurts.

Where have you been?

Why do you always come back with a stomach ache?

Mr. Baker.

Why aren't you hiring anyone?

Are you ignoring what I said?

I told you clearly that I'll quit.

Then you can't deliver the bread

and see the bike guy.

It can't be helped if it's my fate.

Maybe I'm destined to focus on baking.

Okay, I see.

Should I put a wanted help sign on the window?

Don't you get what your master's saying?

And you want to bake?

My master?

Will you teach me how to bake?

Don't call me "master".

I need your help,

so it's yes for now.

If you'll teach me,, I'm your first apprentice.

What first apprentice?

-Thank you! -What are you doing?

You can't touch me.

-Or I'll take it back. -Sorry, Mr. Baker.

I mean Master.

Seriously? I take it back.

-I'll clean it for you. -Forget it.

Dogyeong!

Dogyeong!

How are you?

What are you doing here?

It's my lunch break, so I came to look around and see Jian.

Jian prepared these events, right?

Yeah.

But where is Jian?

I don't have long to talk to her.

Do you have something to tell her?

Yes, I became the first apprentice of Mr. Baker.

He makes incredible dough,

and he never wanted to teach anyone.

But he picked me.

I see.

Jian would love to hear this. I wanted to tell her in person.

Why she's not here?

She was worried that I always work part-time

and don't care about my future,

You missed to surprise her.

Jian is not here. She works outside now.

She'll be gone for a while.

Oh, really?

I should've called her first.

I'll tell her you were here.

Then you should tell her I became an apprentice.

I will.

I'm heading out to see someone.

I'll get you a taxi. Let's go outside.

Jian's brother is seeing me off.

Let's go.

-Come along. -Okay.

It's really nice here.

MYEONGSHIN

So, did you hide?

I couldn't see Jisu like I used to.

When I saw her with the vice president,

I couldn't breathe,

as if somebody was choking me.

It's just a few more days.

The vice president told you to wait until the event ends.

That's him looking out for me.

He must feel...

so frustrated when he is seeing Jisu.

You don't have to be worried about him.

You just have four days left.

Just thinking of that

makes my heart beat faster.

I deserve to be punished, so I'll take it.

PRESIDENT NOH

The vice president's mother.

Yes.

Are you with someone?

Then just listen.

After the event,

let's have a meal with Mr. Seo and Ms. Yang.

Pardon?

You worked really hard to become our daughter,

so it's a reward.

You had lived with them for over 25 years.

I did not want you to cut ties with them.

But you'll meet them as my daughter.

Hello?

Eunseok?

I will...

talk to you at home this evening.

You will come home today?

Yes.

I'd like...

Could I...

see you both this evening?

Will you be at home? I have something to talk about.

Yes. Your father has no dinner plans. So he'll be home early.

I see.

I'll see you later.

Welcome home. How was the trip?

I'm tired after the long flight.

You did well.

I'm home.

You didn't suffer at all. Your faces are so glossy.

We both should bow.

Forget the old custom.

Get changed so we can eat.

Right. Go upstairs. Leave your things and change.

Okay.

I'll carry it.

That is your sister's gift.

It's prettier than the photo.

The room is also nice.

My favorite thing in this room is you.

You are two-faced.

You used to play hard to get.

Marriage changed you entirely.

I didn't think I'd end up like this. I'm surprised, too.

We should have focused just on us.

We thought too much.

No, it's not.

My reality was so helpless.

You just need to keep your word that you'll be my best friend.

Just your best friend?

Husband, brother, what else?

In place of father-in-law,

I can be your father too.

I'll be just a girlfriend-like wife.

Don't expect a mom-like wife.

Who would like that?

Don't.

We have to get changed.

Okay.

JIAN SEO

Yes.

Well,

could I see you for a second?

I have something to say.

What is it?

Just say it now.

We have to speak in person.

Okay.

You know the membership restaurant?

See you there.

Yes, I will be there.

RESIGNATION LETTER

Help me.

When I tell your parents,

I'd like you to be with me.

That's my last favor.

Please, help me.

I did order the coffees.

I didn't want to be disturbed.

Yes.

Before you begin,

I have something to say.

Okay.

First of all,

I'll return your phone.

Why...

do you have it?

My mother told me to follow you to check if the 20 million won

involved a man.

Mom didn't want anyone else to know.

So I followed you.

You ran off, not knowing you'd lost your phone.

Was he Hyeok Seonu?

I saw you with him.

Sorry, it is my sister's.

I saw you two entering a cafe.

Suffer for a while.

At that time,

I look it to spite your carelessness.

Mother wanted you to leave your past behind.

So I kept it.

You are...

so unbelievable.

It's too awkward to apologize it now,

just let it go.

You know how my family is.

I'll return it because I don't have to keep it.

I'm not exactly pleased,

but I'm in no position to complain.

I'll take it.

I found you another job.

After the event,

you can't work for Haesung Apparel.

You said "another job"?

Eunsang Corporation's Marketing Team.

It's bigger than Haesung Apparel.

I won't work for Haesung Apparel

or Eunsang Corporation.

Do you think...

I want a job I got for a favor?

You said you have no plan.

So I went out of the way to help you.

No, thanks,

I'm not giving you what you don't deserve.

-You're more than capable. -Don't say that, please.

That kind of help is not what I need.

Then what help do you need?

Your situation is not good to care about your pride.

My...

My pride?

Are you that short-sighted?

Do you only care for your parents?

Don't you care what'll happen to you after you confess?

Why are you so foolish? I did get you another job.

I need consideration, not pity.

That depends on the one who gives it.

The recipient doesn't have a choice.

Why...

would you say that?

What do you mean?

You sound generous.

As if you are doing this out of pity.

Isn't it cowardice to put it like that?

Cowardice?

Just say it's because you care for me. Can't you say that?

Must you...

distance yourself?

After all the time we spent together?

You don't have to be...

so forceful and demeaning.

Yes.

I care for you.

But why should I admit to that?

Why do you want to know? Why do you care?

What can I do for you?

What...

do you want me to do?

What I want is...

-today-- -You and I...

have different paths.

You have stayed with us long enough to know that.

What do you expect of me?

Why do you look at me like that?

What are you? Why? Because we kissed?

Right.

I felt attracted to you, and I kissed you.

So what? A kiss?

I can kiss you 100 times and even sleep with you.

What can't I do? You aren't my sister.

But that's all it can be.

Even if I like you very much.

If you say that right now...

I must...

marry Sora Jang.

No, I will marry her.

So...

You live a life that suits you.

And I'll live my life as it is.

So...

you don't expect anything from me.

What can I do for you?

I'll help your parents

to be exempted from going to prison.

I'll do that for you.

I have to go.

PRESIDENT NOH

On your way home? We are waiting.

POWER OFF

What took you so long? We had dinner without you.

I'm sorry.

Sit.

Yes.

Now, what were you trying to say to Eunseok?

He has something to say to you, but he doesn't even tell me what it is.

He told me to wait until you're home.

Eunseok.

Yes.

Did you say "yes"?

Are you Eunseok Choi?

What's wrong with you?

She's your daughter.

DNA PARENTAGE TEST REPORT

Who are you?

How dare you switch your children?

How dare you!

Where is my daughter? Bring my daughter.

How could you do this to me?

Jian was your daughter?

-That's not why. -Then why did you send Jian to them?

Did you know it?

I was going to tell you--

How could you?

So you pitied Jian.

I'll prevent what you are worried about.

See how your precious daughter, Jian, lives

until the end of your life.
