He can't deny the fact that they found sleeping pills in his room.

It's just a matter of time before the press gets a hold of it.

Before things get out of control

it would be best for Director Choi to remove himself from the position.

Then we will start voting on the dismissal of Director Choi.

Please cast your vote in secret.

- Ms. Seo Eun Ha! - Are you out of your mind?

Please excuse me.

I had something to say, so I let myself in.

I am...

Director Choi Min Woo's wife, Seo Eun Ha.

The sleeping pills found in his room are mine.

I understand that

you want to protect him as his wife.

I'm not here today as Director Choi's wife.

I'm here as a stockholder with five percent of SJ Group's share.

If he wrongly gets dismissed and the public finds out about it

it will damage the company's reputation, and its value will also drop.

Is that what you want?

If you need a proof, I have it here.

Even before our marriage, I've been taking sleeping pills for my insomnia.

I felt anxious whenever I ran out, so I started saving these pills.

After I was married, I hid them in his room.

I apologize for all this. This wasn't my intention. I'm sorry.

You hid those pills in my room because of your insomnia?

Do you expect me to believe that?

Why are you doing this all of a sudden?

Do you pity me?

Are you doing this out of sympathy?

Tell me. Say something.

I had no other choice.

Because I'm your wife, Seo Eun Ha.

You must be very busy lately.

I had to take care of something important.

I'm only assured when I take care of these things personally.

I've been to therapy before for my depression.

With the pills that I was prescribed, I crushed them and hid them in the book.

Then I left them in the locked room.

I thought if I hid them there, no one would find them.

I don't really understand everything.

So how did you get into that room?

I'm sure Min Woo didn't just leave his key lying around.

According to the maids, they were never even allowed to go near that room.

I left the door open by mistake.

The maid said she saw the door left open when she was cleaning our room.

She must have left that part out.

So are you okay now?

You said you were treated for depression. Are you okay now?

Yes. I've gotten a lot better since our wedding.

Thanks to Min Woo.

I don't know when they became so close.

Something is definitely going on between them.

Why else would she take Min Woo's side?

So what exactly is going on between them?

A deal. That's it. They've made a deal.

They've made a deal.

Min Woo probably gave her more shares.

He may have given her an advantage.

They must have written a contract.

Do you only find that odd?

Don't you think it's also odd that they found sleeping pills in his room?

They were hidden so well inside a book.

What do you think, Suk Hoon?

- Am I the only one who finds it weird? - I find it odd too.

I'll try to find out if there was an informant.

Forget about it. What's the point?

- You can't do anything about it. - No, I'll try to find it out.

Then we can ask whatever questions we may have.

Seo Eun Ha.

Why are you helping me all of a sudden?

What's the secret you can't tell me about?

Is the bed comfortable?

Yes. All thanks to you.

Are you being threatened by someone?

Is that why you had to put those sleeping pills in my room?

Aren't you hungry?

We didn't even have dinner.

- No, I'm not hungry. - Seo Eun Ha.

I just told them the truth.

Isn't that what you want to ask me about?

I'm the one who hid those sleeping pills in your room.

You didn't do anything wrong.

- I'm going to bed now. - Is that all?

When you say you stood up for me because I didn't do anything wrong

does that mean if...

I had done something wrong, then you wouldn’t have defended me?

Or did you defend me because of your sense of duty as my wife?

Or is it because...

of something beyond your sense of duty?

Like the love between a husband and his wife.

Something like that...

Min Woo.

I can never love you.

I'm sorry.

But instead I'll prove it to people.

That you're not someone who would hurt other people.

I'll prove it.

Aren't you going to sleep?

- I am. - Should we have a drink together?

No, I don't want to. It's probably bad for getting pregnant.

Are there any signs of pregnancy?

Let's see.

I've been having headaches

and lately, I've been feeling like I need to throw up.

Also, its feels like my belly has grown larger.

It's that so? That sounds like good news.

How many times a day do you lie?

What are you trying to say?

I feel like we're playing a game.

A game of lies.

- We're living in a web of lies. - So?

To win this game, should one be a good liar?

Or will the one who is a bad liar

ultimately win this game?

[Episode 11 - 'Game of Lies']

Does Min Woo always take his pills?

If he doesn't, something really bad may happen.

- I'm sorry. Are you all right? - What are you doing?

I should throw all these pills away. You can't take dirty ones.

They're probably all infected with bacteria.

Don't worry about it.

Hey! Do you have any idea how expensive this is?

Do you know how much she used to cherish this piece?

It's such a precious piece! She must be so upset about it.

- I'm sorry. - I'll tell her to be more careful.

Follow me.

Don't worry about the price of the piece.

It wasn't on purpose, you were just doing your job.

It's really okay. I've done the same thing.

You have?

It happens to everyone.

Who hasn't broken something by accident?

See? I told you. Director Choi wasn't going to get dismissed.

Who in their right mind would mess with the CEO's son?

He was probably excused of his charges too, right?

Of course! We expected it.

I didn't expect it at all. I didn't know Ms. Eun Ha is his wife.

How was I supposed to expect that?

Anyways, we need to keep our mouth shut.

If we leak their secret, we'll be fired.

What are you guys doing right now?

Please don't be like this. I beg you.

- What do you mean? - Treat me how you used to.

- Only then can I keep working here. - Of course. Sure.

Ms. Choi Mi Yeon! Why are you so late?

It even looks like you got drunk last night!

- You want something to work on? - Yes.

I want to accomplish something here.

So that I can help with your work.

Why are you acting like this all of a sudden?

Because I want a normal life.

Having a normal life takes an effort.

All right then.

Would you like to be in charge of launching a new product?

I will do it. I really want to do well.

To launch a new product, look around our store and scrutinize the market.

You probably are well aware of it already.

You're not going to the department store because of me, are you?

You think I would?

Someone as important and busy as me? All because of you?

I told you. An important meeting came up and I'm just dropping you off on my way.

- I'm meeting people near the store. - Sure.

Why is he asking someone to kiss him? It's still early in the morning...

Hello. I'm a newlywed.

I had huge fight with my husband this morning.

He told me to stay out of his business.

I'm so upset by what he said. What should I do?

Don't worry about it.

You must be so upset! What should she do?

We would like to hear from you. Please text us your responses.

There's nothing to listen to.

It's the husband's fault!

How could he tell his wife to stay out of his business?

I'm sure she had good intentions.

If she was butting into everything, he had every right to say that.

- I understand him. - You're too nice.

How can you understand him?

- This is completely his fault. - No. It's not.

- It's completely the wife's fault. - No. It's his fault.

- It's not! - Why are you suddenly talking back?

Just text them saying that it was the husband's fault.

- I'm going to text it's her fault. - My goodness!

Since it's summer, clothes made with cool materials are popular.

Ms. Seo Eun Ha, I've been wanting to tell you this for a while.

I think you should have been put in charge of this project sooner!

You have good taste and a real sense of style.

Also, you're so elegant! If someone like you launches a new item

I'm sure something great will be hit the shelves!

And honestly...

You should be the model for this new product too!

The moment you wear them

I'm sure they'll sell out instantly all over the country!

I'm sure of it!

We should just look at their clothes and leave.

Shall we then?

Look at this dress!

This looks like it was made for you!

Should I try to vouch for you as our new model?

Hello. This is Yang Syung Ki. Give me a sec.

Napoleon said

'A man becomes the creature of his uniform.'

You must not like the outfits I picked out for you.

I had no idea you would pull a stunt like that.

How are you going to clean up your mess?

One shouldn't wear clothes they don't fit in.

They just won't be able to handle it.

You can't always wear what you want to wear.

You'll wear what I pick for you

and you will become the person I need you to be.

No. From now on, I'll choose my clothes for myself.

Aren't you curious?

How do I plan on cleaning up my mess?

I'm curious too. I wonder how you'll clean up your mess.

Take a good look at the video in this USB.

And think.

Whether you'll reactivate Seo Eun Ha's bank accounts or not.

It's not a good habit to doubt others. It just makes things difficult on you.

It's even more painful to be suspicious of people near you. You're well aware.

The reason you doubt them is because you don't know them well.

A smallest doubt leads to another doubt then another one....

So essentially you're also curious about Eun Ha's and Suk Hoon's relationship.

There's no need to beat around the bush.

How much do you know about their relationship?

I know that they're not just sister and brother-in-laws.

- So? - They're what you think they are.

What I think they are?

Then is Seo Eun Ha indebted to Suk Hoon in any way?

What?

Maybe she's in a situation where she has to follow his orders.

Suk Hoon was the prosecutor for Eun Ha's father's case.

- Maybe he had something on him and... - Fine.

Let's investigate Suk Hoon.

To see if he's stealing from the company

or if he has any hidden money to buy shares of the company.

Let's thoroughly investigate him.

Min Woo, as much as you hate him, he's still my husband.

He is your sister's husband.

Please, save me.

You're going to die eventually.

I'm not sure if it will be by suicide or murder.

Jung Tae.

Your death will benefit the human race.

Why didn't you answer your phone?

I called to let you know I'm coming.

I see. I'm sorry.

- What's up? - I have something to talk to you about.

Should we go somewhere else if this is going to take a while?

We could sit down to eat somewhere.

It's all right. I don't think it'll take long.

So, what is it that you wanted to talk about?

I'm not...

a fool.

The prosecutor suddenly showing up to our house.

Sleeping pills that were found in my room.

The board of directors voting for my dismissal.

I'm not foolish enough to believe that all these happened by chance.

Are you saying someone deliberately planned everything?

Yes.

Can you think of anyone who would do this?

- I can. - Who?

The person sitting right in front of you.

I completely understand why you are suspicious of me.

You also thought your mother's death

had something to do with your father and step-mother.

What do I need to do to make you trust me?

You can't. I'll keep doubting you.

I don't know what happened between you and Seo Eun Ha in the past

but the important fact is she is now my wife.

If anything happens to Seo Eun Ha

I won't be able to forgive myself.

This is what I wanted to tell you.

I told you. I'm not a fool.

Seo Eun Ha's bank accounts.

Reactivate all of them.

This is red ginseng. This is Myungji mushroom.

This is angelica, and this is ground silkworms.

And this is organic brown rice, but since it's germinating right now

give it some time even if you want to eat it right now!

- What is all this? - They're good for your liver.

Dad went out and bought them this morning.

If you have money to spare...

I only have money to spend on these things!

You promised us you'll get treated! Cooperate with us.

We should invent a new recipe with germinated organic brown rice!

That sounds great!

You're a genius!

And spicy rice cakes made with decade-old red ginseng!

Welcome to...

We haven't missed our payment for this month yet.

You don't have to pay me back.

Also, I'll never come back to this place.

What do you mean?

I'm going to die soon.

The doctors said I have a terminal illness.

There's nothing they can do.

I think I'm being punished for all of the bad things I've done.

I plan on being a good person from now on.

I apologize for everything.

'I think I'm being punished for all of the bad things I've done.'

'I plan on being a good person from now on.'

'I apologize for everything.'

Don't you think it's overkill to get on my knees?

I have pain in my knee joints too.

Ji Sook, let me just bow and be done.

You don't want to do this? Fine. Then don't.

Is getting on your knees that hard?

I thought you do anything for money.

Stop messing with me. I can reveal your identity to everyone!

Fine. Go ahead. You won't get any more money out of me that way.

Don't you want more money?

To my mom, dad, and Ji Hyuk

apologize to them on your knees.

Tell them you're sorry and ask for forgiveness

on your knees.

You get on your knees too.

I apologize for everything I've done.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive us.

Oh my god! Who got these for us?

They look so comfortable!

Is it relaxing? Can I try it first?

Oh my goodness! I can't believe my own eyes!

How can all these people get

rib eye steaks?

How is this possible?

Look at the marbling!

Rib eye steaks. Wait.

I'll run the employee's cafeteria from now on.

We'll serve high quality rib eye steaks every day.

I'll fire anyone who mistreats their employees for eating too slowly!

They've extended our lunch break by a hour.

Let's eat slowly and enjoy our meal.

Why did they extend our lunch break?

I don't know why. That's what I've been ordered to do.

What are you doing? Put more meat on the grill!

I can't believe she made us get on our knees.

Like Ji Sook said, this isn't a big deal.

If we find out who is behind Ji Sook

and helping her pretend to be Seo Eun Ha

we can make even more money from this weakness of hers.

A very large sum of money!

We can be one the biggest players.

We could be extremely wealthy!

- How are we going to find her weakness? - Her weakness?

We need to find it.

I'm sure we will.

No. We must.

We must find it.

About Kim Jung Tae

even when he was in school

he would bring girls and secretly record them in his place.

He wouldn't still do that, would he?

It's hard to break old habits.

I hear he carries a camera on him.

What?

You will eventually die.

I am not sure if it will be by suicide or murder.

Jung Tae.

Your death will benefit the human kind.

The building Jung Tae built collapsed.

He always pocketed money and did a poor job.

I knew it would come to that.

I heard there were some casualties too.

How is your market research coming along?

It's coming along well.

I see.

Don't feel pressured.

Do as much as you can, okay?

- Seo Eun Ha. - Yes?

Good luck.

Gosh, Choi Mi Yeon.

Your higher-ups are working hard

so go bring some coffee for them, will you?

Gosh, I was never like you when I was a rookie.

I got it.

She's such an important person.

[Brother-in-law]

Hello? Now?

Okay.

- I'm going to step out for a bit. - Sure.

Where are you going?

I need to step out for new product planning.

Do you? Too bad.

I made good coffee.

Are you going to confirm?

Or should I just destroy it?

There is no chance your wife

would open the safe in the middle of the night.

But if you must confirm

the fingerprints are in, so...

you can check.

- What is this? - Coffee.

Go ahead. It won't be good though.

Anything you want to say?

Then what do you want me to do with this?

Get rid of it. I don't want to see it.

You said you were curious about your wife and Suk Hoon.

I'm curious too, honestly.

I wonder what the deal is between them.

So?

They are about to see each other.

Let's follow and confirm.

To see what they do.

You want us to follow them secretly?

They are meeting secretly, too.

What is it? Are you scared to face it?

No matter what, she is my wife.

She's my wife. She's who I go to bed with.

If the video file gets out

you and I will go down together.

I know that.

Then all these lies will end too.

What is it that you want?

Leave my family alone.

Also know that I will see Ji Hyuk sometimes.

About Min Woo...

stop your scheme to lock him in a psych ward.

Did you already forget what he did?

- Where he belongs is... - Is his home, not a hospital.

Is what you want taking over SJ Group?

Then change your plan.

If not

everybody will see the video of you murdering that man.

About the video file

it's in here.

My hunch tells me...

there is something going on between them.

Look at her face.

She looks so different from the Ji Sook we know.

How do I know that there is no copy?

How do I know you'll leave my family alone

after I hand the file over?

Fine.

Let's trust each other.

even if it's a lie.

I will say it again.

Once the video gets out

everybody will know that you are a fake.

What's going on?

Fire!

- What? - Let's escape!

Fire!

From the spot where the alarm went off earlier

- show me the hallway again. - I will.

Tell me again.

I saw that with my own eyes.

In the middle of the night

Min Woo was crushing the pills.

That's weird.

According to Eun Ha

she crushed the pills and hid them in the book.

Is she lying?

Or is it you who is lying?

Who is it?

Who told you to lie?

Actually... actually...

What's wrong? Is the meat too tough?

The meat is very tender today.

Don't you think?

- Did you buy a new watch? - No.

I found it at work earlier.

Someone was stupid enough to lose it.

Then shouldn't you return it?

I am planning on it.

I'll wear it until then.

It looks expensive, so I don't want to lose it.

What trick are you pulling again?

Are you sure you just found it?

I'm saying I did, Dad.

I want to return it to the owner soon.

I just don't know whose it is.

- What is the deal with that watch? - What do you mean?

You said you'd follow them secretly.

- Does it have something to do with that? - Why?

Now you're curious?

I don't know what the significance is, but just return it to its owner.

It's not fun.

I will return it, but...

your wife gave it to my husband, so...

I should give it to him, right?

If you want to know about this, ask your wife.

You usually can't stand not knowing.

How stupid are you to lose that, huh?

I said there was an accident.

If she watches the video, we will be in trouble.

You are the one who gave the file to me.

You fix it, since you are the one who screwed this up.

- I have things to do. - What things?

Can't you see how serious this is?

When I first met you

you looked so untouchable.

But now...

you look so small.

Hurry and get the watch back from your wife.

if you want to keep our deal, Min Suk Hoon.

How exactly is the food prepared here?

Well, we have specific vendors who give us the ingredients.

For those vendors, drivers, and the CCTV controllers

- please give me that information. - Pardon?

Sure.

Starting tomorrow

pick a different place for you to eat and get different dishes.

How?

Pick a bigger place to eat and choose better dishes.

Eat the dishes that you prepare for us.

- There are a lot of leftovers anyway. - Is it really okay to do so?

If it becomes an extra expense

it will come out of my pocket, so do that.

Where do you want to go at this hour?

It's important, so you should come with.

- So where is it? - You will know when we get there.

Let's hurry. Let's go.

- Hurry up. - Okay. You will take off my jacket.

Who does Eun Ha think she is?

How can she change their dishes without my permission?

We should do something.

If not, she will try to take control of more and more.

What do you have in mind?

What would you do?

I will tell Butler Nam not to change the dishes.

This is not a luxury watch.

What could this be?

Why were they trying so hard to get a hold of this?

Wait. What is this?

There is a scratch.

Suk Hoon.

When I have this on

I feel like I have power.

Like the ring from 'The Lord of the Rings'...

one and only watch, is it?

How long will you play this game with me?

Until you tell me.

Make an excuse or something.

- I'd prefer an explanation though. - Mi Yeon.

Give me that watch.

- It's not yours. - Then is this yours?

I said do tell.

It was originally mine, but...

Eun Ha had it for some time and just returned it.

I didn't want a misunderstanding, so I met her to get it.

You disappoint me, Suk Hoon.

That's the best you can think of?

Give the watch back now.

It's not yours.

No, I won't give it.

Try to take it.

Take it away from me.

What is this?

Is this perhaps a camera?

Aren't you going to tell me where we're going?

I will tell you when we get there.

You wouldn't have come if I had told you.

Seo Eun Ha.

Then at least give me a clue.

I said no.

We're almost there, so just hold on.

- Is this the important place? - Yes.

Why is it so important to come at this hour?

Min Woo.

You never know what happens in life, right?

Something could happen any minute and...

I might not be able to see you any more.

There is something we need to do before that happens.

Hi, Eun Ha.

What video file is this?

In the field of neuropsychiatry

he's one of the top five in the world.

He came to Korea for a conference.

And I asked him to see us.

What are you doing, Seo Eun Ha?

Min Woo, for one hour no, thirty minutes...

I asked what you were doing.

- You even think I'm crazy, too? - No.

That's why I'm doing this.

Please do this, Min Woo.

if you believe in yourself.

You will end up destroying the watch.

- What? - You will destroy it and...

completely get rid of it yourself.

Why do you think so?

You will believe my lies.

We deceive each other all the time.

I told you that life is all about a game of lies.

I thought about what lies will make us both win.

Listen carefully the lies I will tell you now.

And then believe them.

Well, when I was asked to analyze the chemical composition of the drug...

So I called up the lab where my friend works to analyze it.

Now...

Although this particular drug looks identical to...

sedative drugs in the market

the test results came up something else.

It contains a significant amount of hallucinogenic properties.

It contains a hallucinogenic drug.

Even a healthy person could experience hallucination if they take this.

I hear you've been treated with hypnosis, correct?

Were you induced and treated with hypnosis?

Believe what I'm saying, Choi Min Woo.

The memories that came to you after you were induced...

are all false.

Min Woo would never harm anyone.

You and I both know that.

Inside this watch

there is a video you would never want to watch.

What kind of video is it?

You've been suspicious of me and Eun Ha all this time.

You feel there is something going on without any solid evidence.

- So? - This will be a solid evidence.

You will find out about me and Eun Ha.

I was going to get rid of this video anyway.

It was taken before I even met you.

That's why I had to meet her elsewhere and get it.

It's all in the past.

It's all over now.

You delete it yourself.

You destroy it yourself.

About what you just told me...

- Is it true? - No.

I told you it's all lies.

Believe my lies.

That way, you can win this game.

You and I both.

Min Woo.

People say this.

Write two notes and put each in both pockets.

One note reads this.

I'm just like ashes and dust.

The other note reads this.

This world was created just for me.

This world was created just for you, Min Woo.

So don't be scared.

Subtitles by DramaFever

A present arrived. It's your birthday today.

Who is Byun Ji Sook? She seems alive for some reason.

Eun Ha, we will eventually have to kill Choi Min Woo.

It's not hard.

You just add some something to his wine.
