Wake up.

I said wake up.

Write it down.

[If your creditor dies, your debt disappears. It's the only way.]

What is it?

We don't have time, so write it down.

Hurry.

If your creditor dies, your debt disappears.

It's the only way.

Listen carefully to what I'm about to say.

From now on, your name is Seo Eun Ha, not Byun Ji Sook.

When you went over to your fiancée's house

you fell into the pool.

Because of that trauma, you're suffering a temporary memory loss.

Am I suffering a memory loss?

I'm telling you to pretend.

Right now, Seo Eun Ha's parents are on their way here.

When you meet them, don't say anything.

Just stay quiet.

What happened to the other people?

- Especially, Seo Eun Ha... - Don't worry about it.

Don't even think.

I will do all the thinking from now on.

You just do what I tell you to do.

Do you understand?

I asked if you understood.

[Episode 3: Best Choice, Worst Choice]

No way. I couldn't have. Nonsense.

Why would I?

Min Woo.

You don't have to pretend to be okay.

If you were, that would be weird.

Do you want a drink?

When things are hard, it may not be a bad idea to get drunk.

What is it that you want to say?

Seo Eun Ha almost died.

Such an accident could happen again.

I will say this as your sister.

About this wedding...

don't do it.

I will.

I know what you worry about.

You're scared how successful I will become with her, huh?

You're worried our father might approve of me and...

pick me as his heir, huh?

You will go through with this wedding, no matter what?

Marry someone you almost killed?

She will tell us who it was that actually tried to kill her.

I was actually on my way to see her now.

If it turns out you're the one who did it...

will you cancel the wedding then?

Even if it's the case, nothing will change.

I can just pay for the damage.

Eun Ha.

Don't you recognize me?

Please say something.

If you're accompanying the President to the States

you should leave now, Congressman Seo.

She will be treated by the top medical team in the country.

From your toes to every hair on your head

they will check to make sure everything is okay.

Eun Ha.

You can just relax and rest.

We will call you.

It's good that you have a great father.

Get ready to leave.

We have no time, so hurry.

Something is not right.

When Eun Ha was looking at me

she didn't look familiar.

She looked like somebody else.

Of course, she did.

When was the last time you sat down and talked with her for more than ten minutes?

She will forget all the bad memories.

We will create good memories for her.

Thank you.

Eun Ha's late mother would thank you too.

Close your eyes and turn around.

No matter what happens

don't scream.

- What? - If you scream, people may come.

Now.

I said not to scream.

Seo Eun Ha.

Excuse me for a minute.

I really don't think I can do this.

I feel sick.

I need to go to the bathroom.

Hold it.

I don't think I can hold it.

I feel like I'm actually sick.

Excuse me, can I use your phone?

- Come on. Hurry. - One second.

What now?

I said I didn't feel well.

I don't think I should be released from the hospital yet.

Do you know what this is?

It's the key to your place.

You drove the car with your lender in it.

You drove it to the cliff.

If your creditor dies, your debt will disappear.

That's what you were thinking.

The car stopped at the end of the cliff.

When the guy sitting next to you tried to escape

you poked his neck with this.

The other guys managed to escape, but...

you and he ended up dying.

If you want to call the police, go ahead.

But...

you didn't kill him. You were framed.

You are going to have a hard time proving that.

Because what the ones with power say is true...

and what the ones with no power say is false.

- Hello? - Min Woo.

Seo Eun Ha has woken up.

You've been really worried, haven't you?

Go get some sleep tonight and...

I'm at the hospital now, so I will come right up.

Are you at the hospital?

It might be better not to see her now.

- Why is that? - Actually...

she doesn't remember what happened.

What do you mean?

It might be the same reason.

She might have been traumatized.

Go home now. Wouldn't that be better?

No, I will come up.

Min Woo!

I'm up here!

Come up!

She must have fallen back to sleep.

You might want to come back tomorrow.

I will wait until she wakes up.

She still won't remember anything when she wakes up.

She can't even speak properly yet.

I said I'll wait.

I will watch her from now on.

You can go home.

What is it?

Do you think I might try to do something to her if we're alone?

If that's not what you think, please go.

Are you awake?

I think you're awake.

Are you okay?

How much do you remember?

By any chance, did I...

I didn't, right?

That's not what happened, right?

Say it. Say it wasn't me.

Say I didn't do it!

Say it! Say it!

What are you ding, Min Woo?

Let go of me.

I didn't do anything.

Let's just get out.

This will scare Eun Ha.

Ji Sook hasn't called you yet?

Where can she possibly be at this hour?

Call her again.

What if something happened to her?

What something?

She must have passed out drunk somewhere.

- She's your sister. - Redirecting your call...

Her phone is switched off.

Wait. She texted me.

It's a video file.

What is it?

Why? Why do I have to live like this?

Mom, do you make money to live?

Or do you live your life to make money?

Aren't you tired?

Dad, please don't make it hard for the family.

Ji Hyuk, come to your senses.

It's not easy out there in the real world.

Take care of yourselves.

If I were to be reborn

I wouldn't live like this.

See?

She talks like she's been drinking.

You get the picture.

She was talking nonsense in the bathroom and fell asleep.

Is that it?

Where are we?

It's your place.

My place?

Even if we look identical

we've lived different lives for twenty some years.

Don't you think?

Living as if I were her, someone I didn't even know...

It will be difficult.

But not impossible.

Eun Ha lived abroad when she was little.

She didn't spend much time with her parents.

Her biological mother passed twenty years ago.

Due to her father's career in politics

her stepmother was always busy helping him.

Since she returned, she's been living here by herself.

She doesn't have a specific job.

After she's married

she will live in Chairman Choi's house.

You won't be close to anyone who knew Seo Eun Ha.

Make everything yours.

Jesus!

What... what do I do, Nam Chul?

I was the one who placed the glass there.

I will take full responsibility.

You will be just fine without me here.

I will always root for you from a distance.

We don't have time.

Kim Yeon Soo, get out of here.

- Now. - No way, Nam Chul.

I'm still young and pretty, so I can always get a job anywhere else.

You're so old now.

I can't let you do that.

I'm sorry. I spilled juice by accident.

You did?

Okay.

We will replace the carpet.

It's okay. You may go.

- But... - I said it's okay.

Study some simple French and English expressions.

What's important is not that you become good at it, but...

that you look like you're good at it.

I might end up going to Hell for doing this.

Do you believe in Hell?

No.

Then why would you worry about that?

These are the songs Seo Eun Ha liked to listen to.

Listen and memorize them.

These are her classmates.

I circled the ones she was close to.

You want to memorize their names at least.

If you wear a mask, you can never be happy.

How do you know so much about her, by the way?

You even knew the password to this place.

I know more about Byun Ji Sook.

Shall I tell you?

I will be back tomorrow.

Study and master these.

Hold on.

What about that man?

He will stay here with you for now.

I want to be here alone.

He's a man, for goodness sake.

Without me, you'd already be dead.

You are still breathing thanks to me.

If you want to go back being Byun Ji Sook, just die here.

If you become Seo Eun Ha, I will let you live.

I have the right to do so.

Do you agree?

I asked if you agree.

I know what you constantly think about.

This has already happened.

We can't go back.

I'm not thinking about that.

I'm not thinking about that because you told me not to.

So, take him with you now.

Seo Eun Ha would have been the same way.

She got what she wanted, no matter how.

She pushed for what she wanted.

Seo Eun Ha would have been thinking the same thing.

She wouldn't have wanted to be here all night with such a bandit.

Fine. I will trust you.

I can't go back there again.

Even if you feed me meat, I still can't go back there.

Do you know what I had to go through to get that money?

How could you...

possibly disappear without a trace?

I will make you pay every penny of it!

- Get them. - What is it?

Freeze.

Redirecting your call...

You still can't reach Ji Sook?

Maybe something happened to her...

Shouldn't we call the police?

Hello?

Is this Ji Sook?

Hello?

Someone died.

It was an accident. Everything was an accident.

It just happened.

What should I do now?

So, how much will you lend me?

Will you lend me about a billion?

Hey, where are you now?

Do you want to die?

Just say no and hang up.

Why do you get bothered by that?

- Where are you going? - I'm going down to the police station.

Something doesn't seem right.

I don't think so.

She must be drinking somewhere...

Ji Hyuk is right.

Let's just wait until tomorrow morning.

Mom, why did I think you were still alive?

Am I really crazy?

Did I really strangle my fiancée?

If that's what really happened [Suspect everybody]

what should I do?

Please tell me that I didn't do that, Mom.

[Criminal department]

You will marry the only son of Chairman Choi of the SJ Group.

You will get an insane amount of money.

There isn't any reason why you would reject this.

How will you pay back your debt?

Your family restaurant has been bought too, huh?

Don't even think.

From now on, I will do all the thinking.

Can I help you?

Well...

I came to report a crime.

Excuse me.

Hello? Yes?

The statement of the witness for the car crash by the lake has been confirmed?

Yes, the victim's corpse has been identified.

You're still looking for a perpetrator.

Yes.

Will you pick that up for me?

It's the key to your place.

You poked the guy's neck with it.

You are going to have a hard time proving that you didn't kill him.

Come this way.

What the ones with power say is true.

And what the ones with no power say is false.

What did you say you were here for?

Well...

wouldn't it be better to come back in the morning?

Never mind. We are already here.

Wait. Isn't that your fiancée?

She goes out a lot at nights, huh?

Are you feeling better?

No, I'm not.

I want to rest, please leave.

Let me just check one thing.

- What are you doing? - Just give me a second.

- It won't take too long. - What are you doing?

I apologize, Ms. Seo Eun Ha.

Sincerely.

I'll see you at the family meeting.

Is that even possible?

I think so. Anything is possible if you believe it.

That's a very interesting theory.

By theory, memories aren't always accurate.

Even with just one word, you can morph a memory.

You've knocked Ms. Seo Eun Ha over and strangled her.

Concentrate on how you did it!

How did you strangle her? Her purse!

Her purse...

With the strap of her purse... I strangled her.

You can even temporarily make him believe

a dead person has come back to life.

It's the same theory as Pavlov's dog.

The dog drools when it hears the bell

and Min Woo sees his mom when he sees the necklace.

Was there anything out of the ordinary?

Such as seeing a strange person or receiving a blackmail notice?

Now that I think of it, a lender...

- That was just a normal phone call! - You never know.

Calm down. You said that she was drunk and didn't come home?

Don't worry too much. Return home and wait.

If I get a report, I'll notify you right away.

How can we not worry when our daughter has gone missing? Huh?

If you were in my shoes, would you be able to stay put

when your daughter is missing?

- That's not what I meant... - That's what you said!

Dad, stop.

What shall we do at home while we wait? Have a nice meal?

Excuse me. You said your daughter was wearing a pink shirt and gray pants?

- Yes. - Is this her by any chance?

Honey...

Are these your daughter's items?

Please identify your daughter's body.

I'll look.

Mom!

Mom...

That's not our Ji Sook! Why would she all of a sudden...

It's all my fault.

If I had reported her yesterday...

If only I had agreed to reporting her...

It's all my fault.

'If your creditor dies, your debt disappears. It's the only way.'

That was the note that was found.

She left a voice message to her family. 'I want to live a different life.'

Thus, the police concluded that Ms. Byun drove off the cliff with her creditor

and killed one of the creditors with her key as he tried to escape from the car.

Ultimately, I've killed a person...

and committed a suicide.

This is what Byun Ji Sook has done. Not you.

Ms. Seo Eun Ha, you just look straight ahead and charge forward.

That's how you'll reach an ending for yourself.

And what exactly will this ending look like?

It will be a happy ending for you.

Eun Ha, aren't you drinking too much?

I'm sorry. I'm just a little nervous.

Is your daughter doing okay now?

- She was at our place when it happened. - She's doing a lot better.

She has regained a lot of her memory as well.

She'll make a full recovery if she keeps on getting treatments.

When I first heard she didn't remember anything

I was so surprised and worried.

What shall we do with their wedding?

It's probably too much to proceed as we had planned, right?

No, we should proceed as we had planned.

Until now, Eun Ha lived by herself.

Once she gets married and lives with others, it will help her emotionally.

Min Woo also worries and takes good care of her.

Am I right, Eun Ha?

I... can't proceed with this marriage.

I just don't have the confidence to maintain a happy marriage.

I apologize.

Sit down!

The moment you step out of this room, you close the door forever.

You understand what I mean, right?

Eun Ha, we'll proceed with this wedding if that's okay with you.

What do you want to do?

Will you... answer me?

'If you wear a mask...

you can never be happy.'

Wearing a mask while pretending to love a person I don't love

will ultimately make me unhappy.

That's why I...

will live truly loving him.

That's how I want to live. Happily. With my family.

There's nothing more I ask.

Let's celebrate Bachelor Choi Min Woo's

last night as a single man!

Choi Min Woo! Choi Min Woo! Choi Min Woo!

Choi Min Woo!

Congrats on your marriage!

If your father-in-law becomes the President

I should buy a share of the SJ Group!

Min Woo, smile a little! This is your bachelor party! Enjoy it!

No matter what you say, we can't sell clothes from your company.

- Change that cheap fabric of yours. - Why are you even here?

Is that what you want? A man?

There are rumors you are gay because you never date anyone.

I heard your fiancée loves men.

I heard she was living with a man while studying abroad.

That's too bad. Should I follow you on your honeymoon?

With your fiancée, I could...

Although your offer is tempting, I'll decline.

I don't think your wife would appreciate it.

This isn't it!

You all get out.

Let's have a drink, Ms. Seo Eun Ha. For our marriage.

Come sit over here.

What? Do you feel awkward?

Or are you afraid of me?

Why did you tell me to come here?

I told you to sit.

It rained and the river overflowed.

A scorpion who couldn't swim

asked a frog for a favor.

'I won't hurt you, so please help me cross this river.'

The frog believed the scorpion, and they started to cross the river.

But, the scorpion ended up stinging the frog.

Before he died, the frog asked, 'Why did you sting me?'

'We are now both going to die.'

And the scorpion replied

'I had no other choice. I'm a scorpion after all.'

Tell the family you don't want to get married.

Just don't show up to our wedding.

Or else, I'll end up killing you.

Leave. Get out of my sight.

- I... I just... - Can't you understand me?

Leave. Please... Leave! Just leave!

I'll pay you whatever you want for the penalty for breaching our contract.

Isn't that what you need from me?

Let's make sure...

we never see each other again, Ms. Seo Eun Ha.

Are you sure we'll be released after just signing this with a thumbprint?

That's what I said! You guys haven't done anything wrong.

Of course!

She couldn't pay her debt back and tried to die with you all, right?

Right... Of course!

Ji Sook probably didn't go to Heaven.

Because she ran away all by herself.

- Thank you for coming. - Chairman Choi, congratulations.

- Welcome. - Congratulations.

Tell the family you don't want to get married.

Just don't show up to our wedding.

Or else, I'll end up killing you.

My daughter looks so pretty!

No, Mom...

You look beautiful today.

Mom, why do you have so many gray hairs?

Let's see what happens to your hair once you get married and have a kid like you.

Then, should I never get married and live with you forever?

Don't even joke like that.

When is this little girl going to grow up and get married?

Our Ji Sook...

She had so many hardships...

I'm sorry.

Your mother... Your mother is very sorry.

Hello?

I'm... I'm so sorry...

Stop crying, Mrs. Byun.

You're going to pass out.

Now is not the best time. Who is calling?

Hello?

Hello? Hello?

- This way. - Thank you.

Yes? What?

I've got it.

Here comes the bride.

What is going on? Where is she?

I think the bride is not quite ready yet.

Shall the bridegroom sing for the bride?

Maybe next time...

So, this is...

Here comes the bride! Please greet her.

If you want to go, leave.

You're the one making the decision.

[Condolence Money]

- Butler Nam, what's wrong? - She looks so beautiful.

What do you mean?

I've warned you.

I'll kill you.

It rained and the river overflowed.

The overflowing river is too scary for a frog to cross by himself.

Let's tell people this is what happened by the pool.

I slipped and fell into the water.

You had nothing to do with it.

Why are you saying this to me?

We are now husband and wife. We are now a family.

Shouldn't family always be on your side?

No matter what you have done.

Bride and bridegroom will bow to the guests.

Bride and Bridegroom, bow.

Subtitles by DramaFever

First, don't touch any of my stuff. Second, don't be loud.

Third...

Forget about your family. Don't ever see them again.

Can you promise me?

If I end up killing you, it will be completely your fault.
