Installing Java is very easy.

Java 17 is the most recent version of Java with long term support.

So in this lesson, you will install Java 17.

We're going to install Java through Amazon Kratos JDK.

A JDK short for Java Development kit, and it provides all of the tools needed to develop and execute

Java code and Amazon Kratos.

JDK is among the most popular high performance and it's free to use.

So without further ado, let us install Java.

Start by going on to Google and here, look up Amazon Coretta.

Click on the first link.

And choose Java 17, not 1817.

Java 17 has long term support.

Java 18 does not.

So whatever Java versions show up for you, please choose Java 17.

All right.

Because this video is for Mac.

We're going to go over to the Mac platform.

And what I want you to do is go to your Apple menu about this, Mac.

If you see MX one or MX two, then you have a MacBook with Apple Silicon, so you will choose the download

link that corresponds to this architecture.

If it says Intel here, then you have the x 64 chip architecture.

So you would choose the download link that corresponds to this platform.

All right.

I have a MacBook and one, so I will choose the following download link.

Shouldn't take very long to download press on it.

And now just go through every single step in the installation.

Wizard put in your computer password.

And that's all.

Once you're done, close the installation wizard and open up a new terminal.

If your terminal was already open, please close it and open a new one.

Once you do right Java version.

And you should get a Java version of 17.

Congratulations.

You just install Java.

Now your computer can execute Java code.
