BRIHONY: The Challenge Australia is gonna be throwing twists and turns

at these superstars...

if they've got any chance of making it to the final.

and, to me, that is incredible,

but every time I see them,

I know we're gonna hear something I probably don't wanna hear,

like running five kilometres up a slight incline.

Looking around, I see a bunch of people who know how to play games.

We've got an Olympic gold medallist.

MAN: I've been underestimated my entire life.

I'm hoping that, because I'm small in stature,

people won't see me as big competition,

but I believe I'm a threat in this house.

We've got world-champion boxers.

Two of the big players in the game here

is Billy Dib and Sugar Neekz.

I know them both from the boxing background.

I reckon they're gonna be tough competitors

and I'm a little bit nervous about that.

We've got survivors and we've got the lovers.

WOMAN: There's so many different people from different walks of life

and I'm competing against them

when all I did was drink cocktails and smooch people,

so that's a little bit terrifying.

We are standing in the arena.

This is where you are gonna come face to face with elimination.

Started watching The Challenge to sort of get my head around it,

but now, literally, I close my eyes at night

and I'm just picturing different scenarios.

I know you're all very keen to get your hands on the prize money

is because I want to surprise myself.

How epic is this stadium?

[CONTESTANTS CHEER]

This storied venue has hosted some of the biggest football matches

in Argentina's history.

Today it's the location of our first challenge.

JACK: This stadium is enormous.

There's the colours of the Argentinian flag

all around the stands.

There's thousands and thousands and thousands of seats,

which I'm really hoping we're not gonna have to be running around.

This season, all of you will be working in pairs.

MAN: Ooh.

So, go ahead and choose a partner of the opposite sex

but choose wisely.

I don't know anyone in this house,

so I'm not too sure how to strategically partner up.

Right now, guys. CIARRAN: Right now?

You get to choose.

I'm cool with teamwork. I've grown up playing basketball my whole life.

Like, it's not just one individual

that ever wins a game or wins a championship,

so working with a partner is cool.

I guess you just have to cross your fingers

and hope that you get a good one.

JACK: I'm friends with Emily, but we decided it might work better

if we partner up with really strong competitors.

And then all of a sudden, Cyrell's coming over to me,

I'm not sure if it's a good decision to be partnered with Konrad

because we're both part of 'Bachelor',

that it could be a bad game plan, but he is a strong player.

He's tall, he's fit, he's hot, which is a great advantage.

Today, you're playing Collect Four.

There are over 60,000 seats in this stadium.

When I sound the horn, you will race and search the entire stadium

looking for your tokens with your designated colours on them.

You'll grab it and race back down to the field

where you will find 11 Collect Four boards.

You can either place the coloured side of your token on your own board

or you can place the black side on any other player's board

to block them.

The first team to get four in a row wins.

About the 14 weeks leading up to this challenge,

I got COVID, then I got pneumonia,

then I got the flu and then I got bronchitis,

but I'm very mentally strong.

I did 'Married at First Sight'.

So far, no team's opting to use the block strategy.

Everyone eager to go straight for the win.

MEGAN: Konrad and I don't want to block anyone

'cause that puts a target on our back.

I've got an award as an author.

CYRELL: Today it's the first elimination

and I think people are looking at Jack and I

as the weak ones right now

and I don't like that

and I need to stay long enough to prove everyone wrong.

BROOKE J: I think there's a 90% chance

Conor and I are going to be up for elimination, which scares me.

This game is a lot more intense than I had planned.

Welcome back to the arena and our first elimination.

As you know, the losers of the challenge

get an automatic trip into the arena,

so let's get Jack and Cyrell in here now.

[CONTESTANTS CHEER AND APPLAUD]

Emily and Ryan, you guys have a huge decision to make

of who you are gonna send into the elimination

against Jack and Cyrell.

We spoke to Jack and Cyrell and we got a name from them,

but we had a different option in our heads to begin with.

We're gonna go with Billy and Suzan.

Billy and Suzan, come on down.

Pretty angry right now. I'm frustrated, I'm fuming.

I regret saying what I said, but I know that I've made my bed.

SUZAN: I'm not surprised at all

because Billy opened his stupid-ass mouth.

It was such a silly move!

Tonight's elimination requires strength, strategy and endurance,

but the most important thing we want to know is can you tie a knot?

[LAUGHS]

Tonight, you're playing Knot So Fast.

You and your partner will clip into the end of a 50-metre rope.

Each team will have 20 minutes

to twist, tangle and turn their rope

through these massive steel pyramids.

At the end of that 20 minutes, the teams will trade places

and then you'll try and unravel the knotted mess

that the other team has left for you.

The first team to successfully untangle the rope

and drag the rope across the line

wins the elimination and stays in the game.

I'm interested to see this. Let's do it.

JACK: I feel great as a team.

We're just gonna go on and treat it as a playground and have some fun.

We're a lot better than those two, that's for sure.

No, we love Suzan.

It's showtime.

We're gonna go out there now and just put everything together

and win this challenge.

SUZAN: When we are on the battlefield,

it's all about the battlefield and we're here to fight.

When it comes to that, that's where I'm at.

[AIR HORN BLARES]

Billy's gonna be far better physically than Jack,

but I think it all comes down to Cyrell versus Suzan here

and who can actually form a better team.

Cyrell getting some hang time there and absolutely loving it.

Suzan getting a little bit frustrated with Billy.

The rope is heavy.

At the same time,

I feel like I'm carrying a weight of bricks with Billy.

Billy's like another rope that I have to carry.

Let's make another knot.

CYRELL: Jack's great. He's being such a great leader right now.

And I'm hearing Suzan just link it at Billy.

[CONTESTANTS SHOUT OVER EACH OTHER]

[JACK GRUNTS]

Well done, everyone! That was a huge effort.

BILLY: Honestly, I'm feeling really confident about what we've done.

It's a bit messy, but hopefully it's enough to get us over the line.

CYRELL: I thought we were playing in the playground,

but that was one helluva playground.

Bit more of a snake pit. [LAUGHS]

Alright, guys, you're gonna switch sides

and you're gonna try and untangle the mess

that the opponents have left for you.

First team to get their whole rope across the black line wins.

[AIR HORN BLARES]

Hold it. Yes! Yeah!

Billy! This is where it starts. Billy, listen!

Looks like both teams are neck and neck at the moment.

EMILY: Keep going! Keep going!

Keep pushing, guys.

and what I'm trying to do now is

have a look at the way Cyrell and Jack have put this thing together

to try to unravel it.

I've sort of got a plan.

We've got to work together. Come on.

Billy really starting to feel the urgency now.

You can see he's just kicked into another gear.

He does not want to lose this challenge.

Billy and Suzan, they're having a late attack here.

Truthfully, I'm close to fainting.

They've got a couple of their knots untangled.

We're reaching it. SUZAN: Pull. Pull, Billy.

Suzan and Billy working their way through with the rope.

I only know how to be the best.

I've had that winning mentality since I've been a kid.

I'm gonna find a way to win.

BRIHONY: Still anybody's game!

EMILY: Keep moving, Jack! Keep going! Keep going!

SUZAN: Keep pulling!

It's so close. I can't tell who's gonna win.

I'm hoping Jack and Cyrell have the edge,

but they're looking really tired at this point.

It's neck and neck! CYRELL: Come on!

JACK: Pull, Cyrell!

Billy and Suzan have just pulled a giant chunk of the rope!

by assigning new partners to each player until it's no longer possible.

I actually don't mind getting a new partner for each challenge,

but it's gonna make the game a lot harder

because you can put targets on people's backs,

but next week, that person might be with one of your friends.

You and your new partner will team up

for the next challenge and elimination.
