hopefully we can get a Qingdao with two Supercharging

you can adjust the speed up and down

and also two buttons to adjust the distance to the car in front

electric vehicle kicks on because the slower you go

the lower your consumption

so you can actually drive much farther

gasoline car has this advantage towards the electric car

it should take about five minutes or so to get it done and then

we'll be on the road again

To Qingdao and hopefully we'll meet them on the way

so NIO battery swap has finished and that was quick man

like three minutes to get the battery fully charged and ready to go

we're going to go to the Qingdao

and we're going to catch up with them let's go

State Grid Charger today

Plug it, bulky and heavy

and then we have to scan and use the card

so here the system is a little bit different

we need to decide how much money we're going to use first

we can go for 80 kuai

even we don't need 80 kuai and then we need to confirm in the APP

like it was my first time experiences it on the highway

crazy how you can add so much range in short time and electric cars yeah

With the sun coming up now

guys good chance to look back on yesterday's experience

how was it for you

Mine was ugh the second leg

i had a massive mishap because i missed my turn

i headed off to Shanghai

i wonder where you got

it wouldn't have been so bad

it wasn't for the massive traffic jam after the junction right

how convenient is it having

swap stations on the highway compared to the Tesla network

where you don't always have charges at most of the stop right

So much convenient i don't have to leave the highway right

and then only took for the whole progress of the swap

for five minutes yeah

so i ended up just charging in the State Grid

Charger on the service area

which started from 10kw

and then like when the car reach and i had arrived it was like

9 percent it was much slower than i expect how about BMW

you didn't need to refuel at all

i didn't need to refuel so

that's a big positive from the ICE side you just fill up once

at home and i mean i started and 186 kilometers left yeah

i mean the big difference in terms of the car is that the

it's not as responsive

not even slightly as responsive as electric cars it's very much

the 20th century experience not the 21st century experience

i guess it's

200 years of history right but didn't really improve

yeah i mean things haven't changed too much here

and the big bug of Tesla i guess it's by Baidu maps

it's a really issue because on highway

i was talking about this it's like

120km per hour speed limit and then it just jumps to

80km/h

and then it starts to slow down in the middle of highway

What about comfort terms?

i mean how comfortable was alright for you

i was a seat feel like

Tesla seat are the most comfortable

i think for me like NIO is second

and i tried to sit in the BMW man it's

just too narrow for me i don't know i don't feel like

support enough support

Yeah my support was pretty decent

yeah I drove your car the day before we came here

and i thought the seats were great in the NIO

but

you know

like last night when we were charging and swapping right

but for me like

you went you swapped for three four minutes right yeah

but man you got like 93 percent battery fully charged and

ready to go

i got only like fifty or sixty kilometres of range you know

key takeaways

from the journey so for me just actually how close it's become

and how beneficial that

the swapping is in terms of the speed

put a whole brand new battery in there

that for me is the biggest takeaway

yeah it was a surprise you know i mean

it was a big surprise for me that like you NIO getting

so close and so much more convenient than than

than charging cars

because charging car definitely has this

disadvantage of driving away from highway

the battery swap is way ahead

it's way ahead!

For me like

Experiencing it for myself first hand experience

like

on a road trip

with the NIO and then the battery swapping

is definitely a game changer

no no i mean they've come so far and i think also

it's a sign of the Chinese car industry how far

the Chinese car industry has come

i think a lot of people outsider China

still don't understand it yeah

they still don't see what is right here right now
