[Flight To You]

[Episode 28]

Hello, Minister Jiang.

Minister Jiang.

Why are you here?

We just flew back

and have dinner here.

You two?

No.

Our friend can't come.

So it's only two of us.

Well,

I have a meeting here.

Group directors came here.

We're reporting our work.

Together?

I...

Sure. Thank you, Minister Jiang.

It's our pleasure to talk with

our leaders.

Just go.

We have to take a leak.

I'll see you right away.

We're in the innermost room.

Waiting for you.

Okay.

I...

Stop. Let's go.

Qi Yu.

Let's go.

This one tastes well.

Genuine.

Very genuine.

Cheng.

Come.

Let me introduce.

Cheng Xiao.

This is

Director Sun of Xingyuan Group,

also our new director.

Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you too.

I've just read your introduction.

You're excellent as your male colleagues.

Come here, Cheng. Sit here.

Here, Cheng.

Ni, let's change a seat.

I want to talk with Cheng.

Sit.

Thank you very much for a seat

close to the main seat.

Director Sun, you value our female pilots very much.

Yes.

Captain Cheng.

How long have you been flying?

Eight years.

I was in the Freight Department.

I transferred to Passenger Department last year.

Not easy.

It must be hard for girls to fly airplanes.

Everybody.

Let's raise our glasses together.

A toast to the role model of female pilots.

Sure.

Cheng, cheer.

Sorry, I don't drink.

I drink a toast with tea instead of wine.

To all of you.

Tea instead of wine.

Also a toast.

Come on.

[Sorry, you have no access to downloading. Please try other query conditions.]

Yuheng, sorry to bother you.

My account has

no access to downloading new cabin materials.

Could you please send it to me? Thank you.

I'm having dinner with the directors.

I'll send it to you later.

A dinner with directors?

Nanting.

I'm a little worried.

If Director Sun asks me to drink,

shall I drink or not?

If you don't want it, refuse politely.

Let me know if you're in a trouble.

Thank you, Nanting.

Cheng Xiao is also here.

I guess

she's in a mood.

[Where are you?]

That's okay.

Bye.

I know. I know.

See you.

Goodbye.

Bye.

Zhan.

Are you okay?

I need a break.

Yuheng, I'll take you home first.

I'll hail a taxi.

That's okay. I want to stay with you.

I have Cheng Xiao. Go home now, it's late.

Then I'll go.

Okay.

Give me a call when you get home.

Sure.

Zhan, are you all right?

I'm okay. I'll take a break.

Nanting.

Leave her alone.

Are you okay?

What's up?

What are you doing now?

Nanting.

This is Director Sun.

So what?

It's a mistake.

Here comes our car.

The car's coming. Let's go.

What...

what is he doing?

Are you really okay?

What did he do to you?

Why are you here?

You told me it's dinner.

A dinner with leaders?

Why are you here? Answer me.

Why did you bring her here?

Is this your business?

Does she belong to you when she's not flying?

Who is she to you?

Where she goes, what she does,

it's none of your business.

So who is she to you?

Why did you bring her here?

He didn't.

Minister Jiang asked me to come.

Zhan helped me a lot

so I didn't take a sip.

But Gu Nanting.

What does this have to do with you?

Why did you come and question us?

Why are you angry?

What right do you have to be angry?

Zhan, I'll take you back.

Let's go. I'll take you home.

Wait here. I'll take care of him.

Do you feel any better?

I'll get you a glass of water.

Don't.

I have something to ask you.

You went to Cheng Xiao's house

because she was hurt, right?

What about this time?

Why are you so worried about her

when you know she's in trouble?

Last time,

the emergency evacuation.

You ran to the plane

and saved here even if you're in danger.

From then on,

ask yourself now,

Is there a second you don't care about her?

Ask yourself.

You care for her so much,

why did you refuse her?

You gave her hope

then let her down.

I like her.

I won't make her feel bad.

What I do is care about her wholeheartedly.

Do you understand?

You drank a lot.

No matter what it is,

talk about it when you wake up.

I know what you'll say.

Now you'll say

you don't admit

you like her because of me, won't you?

You're going to give her to me, right?

What do you take me for?

What do you take her for?

Gu Nanting.

You're selfless.

Let's go home now.

Why does she like you?

Why?

Zhan, are you okay?

I'm fine.

Don't worry. I'll take care of him.

Watch out.

Get in the car. I'll drive you home.

No.

It's too late. Let me take you home.

Don't you have anything to tell me?

I just found out today

you did such a great thing.

You gave me to Zhan.

Cheng Xiao.

I...

I didn't mean that.

You don't belong to me either.

How can I...

Because you refused me.

I refused...

You're a good girl, Cheng Xiao.

It's my problem.

I...

Please take good care of him.

♫ One more day ends ♫

♫ I miss you more ♫

♫ I repeat it again ♫

♫ And count down to the day you come back ♫

♫ Right now ♫

♫ My missing of you is lost in a huge crowd ♫

♫ Flurried as the city with no shelter ♫

♫ The distance ♫

♫ Makes me far away from the love for you ♫

♫ I miss you, I leave you ♫

♫ I want to see you ♫

♫ I miss you ♫

♫ I'm with you like the wind every night ♫

♫ I want to ask you ♫

♫ Are you waiting to return in the wind ♫

[Yi, I don't want to hurt Ni Zhan or her. But everyone's hurt because of me...]

♫ I cross mountains and seas with sincerity ♫

♫ I want to see you ♫

♫ I miss you ♫

♫ It's meaningful with your company ♫

♫ I want to ask you ♫

♫ Are you close to your original dream ♫

Yuheng.

You come back.

You've been drinking?

Wait for me.

I'll make you a soup to sober up.

I don't need that.

It's easy. I'll come right away.

Song Song.

Have a talk now?

It's our first

formal talk.

Maybe because of the wine.

Or I don't know

when can I have the courage to say it.

Song Song.

You're a good colleague,

a good roommate,

a good friend.

I got it.

Good but not love.

It's over before it starts.

It just feels like a dream

about the past year in Luzhou Airlines.

Maybe a nightmare.

But it's my choice.

I've been holding on to it.

I know.

My rival is Cheng Xiao.

You'll take her side.

Song Song.

Now I want to work hard,

live hard.

I...

I don't want to be affected by anything.

I see.

My house should be fixed now.

I'll move out right away.

Song Song.

I don't mean that.

I just stay here for a few days.

It's okay to move now.

I'm going to pack my luggage.

You're here?

Exhausted.

What are you doing?

Looking at your faces?

Song Song is going to move out.

Move out?

Move to where?

To your hostel?

To the opposite.

What opposite?

The opposite has been let already.

What?

Last week. I told the landlord.

You...

I discussed it with Yuheng.

We both agree that

you're a good roommate-to-be.

It's time to move out the to-be.

Why don't you ask me first?

Is it necessary?

It's different now.

What's different?

What's different?

Wait for me for a moment.

Where's the difference?

Yuheng is still Yuheng.

Song Baby is still Song Baby.

What's different?

You take it.

Witness here.

It's a gift for your renewal.

A great oral irrigator.

You have it

and we have three sisters in this family.

Listen,

after becoming our roommate,

you have to contribute your 100% cooking skill to us.

What's that look?

Smile.

Give me a smile. Now.

Okay, stop that.

Smile or not?

Will you smile or not?

Morning.

Good Morning.

Coffee is on the table.

Why am I here?

I remember I drank a lot.

Then I lost my memory.

You're drunk. I'm worried about you.

I missed your birthday party yesterday.

This noodle is compensation.

Thank you.

And this.

Last month I went to Chicago

and saw a pair of 30-year commemoration.

I was going to

gave it to you last night.

My first pair of genuine shoes

was a gift from you.

Eat. It's sticking together.

Okay.

I'll have a taste.

Have a game if you're convenient someday.

Sure.

I'll play with you when I have time.

[Deputy Minister of Flight Department]

Come in, please.

Nanting.

These are...

You asked me for materials of

cabin training yesterday.

Yeah.

Thanks.

I didn't see you

when I got there.

I've gone.

I sent you an email yesterday but you didn't reply.

I guess you didn't receive it.

So I print it

and give it to you.

I'm sorry.

I didn't reply in time.

Nanting.

You're my leader.

You're my brother, too.

You don't need to say that to me.

I know.

There's only one in your heart.

Love is not like work.

Your pay hasn't to be gained.

For so many years, I was just climbing a mountain.

You're the peak I can never reach.

When I get higher,

I will slide down again soon.

I...

The harder I try, the faster I slide.

It's been so long.

Now I decide to let go of these obsessions.

Actually, I came here for a flight attendant

all for you,

for getting closer to you.

I should be the person to say thank you.

If not you,

I won't find a work

where I can feel accomplished.

I won't find my own value either.

Yuheng.

One day,

your Mr. Right will show up.

I'm leaving.

Let me know if anything happens.

I'm not your anybody.

Sure.

Yuheng.

No flight today?

Where are you flying to?

A round-trip flight to Qingdao.

Zhan.

Why are you here?

You...

you are okay?

I was disgraced yesterday.

I'm sorry for that.

Don't, don't say sorry.

You drank for me yesterday.

I'm the one who's sorry.

You helped me

in front of leaders.

Real man, you.

But today

I'm heartily wishing to

compensate you.

Zhan.

Take a rest first.

We have a long time.

I promise

I'll give you an excellent birthday party next year.

Cheng Xiao.

Honestly, I...

Zhan.

I'm familiar with Zhan.

If one day I call you

Minister Ni,

it's strange, isn't it?

Zhan's better.

No Minister for you.

So

I'll rest for a while.

Where are you going? I'll drive you.

Thank you, but the supermarket is near.

Okay, that's fine.

Sure.

Thank you.

Hello.

Could you please tell me

where's the office of Minister Gu?

Do you have an appointment?

No.

Excuse me, sir. We have...

Hello.

Are you looking for me?

[Gu Nanting]

Minister Gu.

Hello.

And you are?

I'm Cheng Xiao's father.

Nice to meet you, uncle.

Nice to meet you, too.

Let's come to my office.

Okay, thank you.

Please.

Have a cup of tea.

Thank you.

Cheng Xiao told me

her instructor's surname is Gu.

I searched on the Internet.

I guess it's you.

I come here

for your help.

What can I do for you?

I hope you can

persuade Cheng Xiao to change a job.

Why?

Over the years, because of this job,

Cheng Xiao had a very strained relation with her mother.

It was only last week that I found out

in the accident of a plane missing the runway

Cheng Xiao was the co-pilot of that flight.

You know what?

Their official account

updates frequently recently.

Look.

We care about Cheng Xiao's job.

It's good, isn't it?

You don't have to chase after it.

After all these years,

she's as safe as ever, isn't she?

[In the emergency evacuation, a female pilot was hurt when persuading the last passenger.]

Why?

Call her right now.

She can't be the pilot anymore.

Okay.

Take it easy. I'll get you the medicine.

Her mother knew

Cheng Xiao had an accident on the plane,

so she's in hospital now.

The occurrence probability

of this kind of accident is extremely small.

If letting her leave

the job she loves because of this,

it's a bit too cruel.

But over the years,

her job

might be more cruel

to her mother.

Why is Cheng Xiao's mother

so contradictory to her job?

In 2004,

she went through an aviation accident.

The depressurization accident of Fanhai Airlines.

You know it?

I've analyzed a lot of aviation accidents.

It's a typical one.

At that time,

the plane was at an altitude of 10000 meters.

A part of the ceiling of the fuselage burst suddenly

and the cabin lost pressure.

Fortunately, the crew

forced the plane to land in a rice field.

When the accident happened,

the flight attendant

was pouring tea beside her.

But suddenly...

From then on,

she never flew again.

She's very sensitive to

anything related to aviation.

Her temper always

transferred between irascibility and depression.

Cheng Xiao was in boarding school.

We didn't tell her.

But no one can predict

she wants to learn to fly

when she's grown up.

Since then,

the relationship between them is getting worse.

Minister Gu.

I have no alternative this time.

I hope you can persuade her to leave.

Uncle.

May I ask

have you ever tried to

take her to a psychiatrist?

We've seen one for a few years

after it just happened.

But it didn't work.

So we didn't go later.

The doctor said it was

post-traumatic stress disorder.

Right, PTSD is really difficult to heal.

But you should

insist to see a psychiatrist.

She can't be stimulated.

I guess

if Cheng Xiao won't fly anymore,

her mother's psychological stress

will be greatly alleviated.

It will be good for future treatment.

I'm sorry, uncle.

I think

I may not be able to help you.

I can imagine

what will happen if Cheng Xiao loses this job.

For her,

the whole world will collapse.

From her entering Passenger Department,

she's flown for 724 hours,

670 thousand kilometers,

carried tens of thousands of people.

I can say responsibly

her sense of honor in the profession

and the sense of faith

are better than any pilots in our airline.

She has the most strong aspiration to be a captain

and is most willing to take on the responsibility.

So, sorry.

I can't help you with this.

[Captain Intern]

I always thought

Cheng Xiao simply likes flying,

likes the freedom.

To be honest,

in the beginning,

I also thought

she is not a good choice for a captain of an airliner.

But now

I can say responsibly

no one

is a better fit for this task than her.

Uncle.

Cheng Xiao is a strong girl.

But she also needs the recognition and protection

from her family.

I'm really sorry.

What I've learned about her in recent years

is not as much as you have.

Minister Gu.

Thank you for telling me so much today.

Sorry to bother you.

Nothing.

If necessary,

I can help the aunt

find a psychological counselor.

Thank you, but don't.

Don't tell Cheng Xiao

about her mother.

Nice meeting you.

Don't bother to see me out.

Dad.

Xiaoxiao.

Why are you here?

Why sitting here?

I'm a little tired.

My waist can't stand it.

I want to take a break before going home.

I'm the only one here. Your mother didn't come.

Why...

why didn't you give me a call?

Let's go.

I'll take it.

Let's go.

Dad, come in.

Okay.

Come and change your shoes.

I'll help you.

I'll do it myself.

I'll go around.

The new house.

Your new house

is very warm.

That's all on you.

I'll make you a cup of tea.

Xiaoxiao, come and sit down.

I come here

and have a very important thing to discuss with you.

What?

There's an accident

happened in your airline.

An aircraft emergency avoidance accident.

Your company

posted the photos of the accident

on the official website.

Your mother and I saw them.

I was just afraid that you would worry about me.

But not I'm okay.

Nothing happened to me.

This time

your mother gave me the order

to take you back home.

You should have her come

and make it clear to me in person.

Why always bothering you?

Xiaoxiao.

Your mother's in hospital.

What's wrong with her?

She knew you were hurt.

The blood pressure

lost control.

Who'll take care of her if you're here?

We hired a nurse.

Xiaoxiao.

I'll make the bed for you.

Plus three days' annual leave,

you have a week altogether.

Is it enough?

Yes.

Thank you very much.

It's the peak season for flights recently.

Also a hard season to deploy pilots.

I see.

I'll return as soon as possible.

As for treatment,

don't hesitate to mention if you have any ideas.

We shall seriously consider it.

Why do you tell me this?

Are you worried that I will leave?

Nope.

If you have any doubts,

tell more people and discuss.

Including me.
