if my biological parents think about me.

it bothers me

when people know

I now have a family

And yet, for some reason,

I struggle to be content with that.

or less valued.

And when I step back
and look at my life

from a wider perspective,

I see how much a gift
my parents really are,

and that adoption
has brought us together

would be a lot more boring
without me there.

there's really no reason
