of his previous assault of a child
in the Northern Territory

for which he served two years in jail.

a family crisis center in the NT in 1996.

He was not known to the offender.

Attending doctors observed that the child

had lacerations and abrasions
to his legs, arms and torso.

His hair, face and body
were covered in dirt,

a collapsed lung,

The overall pattern indicated
