By way of the golden rule, do unto others.

A cup of cold water is a
gift that everyone can give

because it is the smallest of gifts,

the gift of life.

It is important that we give
these gifts to those in need,

because the recipient could be an angel,

or a prophet, or even
Jesus himself in disguise,

and these gifts can come in the form of

material support like food, clothing,

or even shelter.

When we help others, we bring
them face-to-face with God,

by bringing them face-to-face with us.

So, as we enter into this week,

these final days before Christmas,

I want each of you to ask yourselves,

how am I bringing others

face-to-face with God?
