trial for first-degree murder

for the killing of off-duty
police officer Douglas Garcia,

who recognized Mr. Devlin
as a fugitive from justice

and was attempting
to apprehend him.

Officer Garcia was out
of uniform at the time,

but eyewitnesses will testify

that he clearly identified
himself as a police officer

before he was shot.

Office Garcia leaves behind
a wife and four young children.

We will make every effort

to obtain the maximum
conviction in this matter

and will not rest
until we accomplish it.
