All language subtitles for 3. Starting the Shoot

Now we're going to get into the shoot proper,

and this is a shoot that we've entirely set up for this

Skills Pro course.

We've got Jenny Koons here, on makeup.

We got Dia Rouche, on hair.

And we've got my wife, Eliza Cummings,

who's a fantastic model.

And we doing a number of different looks today.

One thing that we try and do is work,

is you build looks up rather than bringing them down.

That's fair to say, right guys?

So you wouldn't start with a really, really heavy

piece of makeup and then end out really natural.

You'd start natural and build on it.

And that's simply for efficiency so that when you come in

for a change, you're not having to take everything off

and start again.

And we're going to do a mixture of hair and makeup looks

that go from very soft, front lit beauty pictures,

all the way through harsh front light, sidelight,

portraity soft lights, all the way through to quite

sort of Gothic contrast, the sort of shaped back lights.

So the idea here is we're going to illustrate six different

lighting environments in very quick succession and you see

what they do to our subjects.

So starting off.

Okay, so one I've got that.

Let's get a two please.

Great, great.

Okay to three, please.

Beautiful, thank you.

To four.

Wonderful.

To five.

Gorgeous, into six.

Amazing.

And then can I please have five, six, and one all

at the same time, please?

So in a very short space of time,

what we've shown you is six different lighting looks

in the space of about 20 seconds.

And the idea of just how efficient you can be.

Eliza didn't move.

And just by switching the lights around,

you've seen these different pictures appear seconds apart.
