My mum had three jobs,

as a dinner lady,

She was up at 6 in the morning
every day, 5-6 in the morning,

just to provide for us,
to provide for me and my sister.

moving down to a city like London?

It was hard to start with,
I was really struggling,

really low point and homesick,
was terrible to start with.

Outside training,
we had a lot of time to think.

I'm not saying I was ever in a bad place
where it was suicidal or that,

but my friends have been.

Two or three of them have
committed suicide, lost their life and,

like, you're with these people
and you don't know a thing because

they've not spoke.

So I think I feel
a certain responsibility to try and help

as much as I can because
I kind of know how it feels

to be in a certain place.

Looking back now it was hard.

My mum and dad say all the time:
"It's brilliant that you've got Johnny,

it relaxes us

but he looks after you."
