It was a little different
for me,

because my relationship

or goals made by accident,

but it was so much fun.

having snacks and juices,

and there was a lot
of noise and activity,

but suddenly,
I heard this laugh.

This sort of explosive,
spontaneous laugh,

young and so full of joy
and infectious,

but also familiar.

It was Elizabeth.

But I turned to look
next to me,

because just for a second,
I thought it was Raymond.

And some years later,
just before Elizabeth died,

we all spent
a few days together
in D.C. and New York --

just hanging around, talking,

eating, playing board games,
walking in the park.

We went

and we just laughed
