is now in custody
in Central Jail.

After allegedly terrorizing Los Angeles and Orange Counties

and the city of San Francisco, Ramirez was captured

this morning in East Los Angeles.

He was chased down by citizens

after he attempted to steal a car.

Hubbard Street resident Jose Burgoin insists

he did not know it was the Night Stalker when he began the chase.

He was merely defending his neighbor.

His sons, Julio and Jaime, quickly joined the pursuit,
